I needed to find a new massage therapist so I tried this place. I get frequent massages. This place is not a spa atmosphere, just a place with a few rooms. The massage table was not very comfortable. I booked a hot stone massage. I got a 60 min massage that I had to do face down and only got my back and legs done. I had to say several times that what he was doing to my legs was very uncomfortable. I got a trigger point massage (which was OK but not what I booked) The back massage was good. My experiences at Indulge Spa have been excellent, thanks to Greg. Greg is a truly extraordinary massage therapist. I am still trying to understand how it is that his way of doing massage works so marvelously well. Part of it, upon reflection, must be due to his seemingly endless reserves of stamina, and even more so, to his robust and unwavering strength. Because he does not struggle, at any time, to do the work, because he does not tire, does not weaken, he can apply whatever needs to be done with his unique, gentle precision. I've had clinicians struggle with their hands, knuckles, fingertips, even use their elbows, and so on, and when that happens, they lose the feel for the work, and the massage is rather less effective. Bruises occur as a side-effect, as well, which brings me to another thing I don't understand about Greg: His gentleness. Greg has a way of releasing the tension in the body with no sense whatsoever of drama. I do not experience a flutter or a fight, or really almost anything, except the awareness that, in a matter of a dozen seconds, my aching, clenched muscle has relaxed, has been set free of the prison it set for itself. I leave with less stress, physical and emotional, and I sleep far better (as reflected in my overnight HRV readings, as well), and I function with greater patience and clarity the next day, during which I also find that I am not bruised or even tender anywhere. I am, simply, more myself, because I no longer carry the unwanted tension I was burdened with for so long, tension that curtailed some substantial portion of my thoughts and my feelings. I think I may have repeated myself; I think that Greg's strength is one key to his gentleness. While others do everything they can to be strong enough, Greg is already far more than strong enough, so he can focus instead on being gently effective. The remarkable thing is, is that he does focus on exactly that, and that through such means he performs his work so very, very well. Greg's compassion is extraordinary, even among massage therapists. What further surprised me is that his acumen in the realm of anatomy not only informed his massage, but that Greg uses his knowledge to enhance my kinesthetic awareness, discussing with me some of the things I could do differently that might help. Greg's mastery of physical form and function is greater than that of any physical therapist I have worked with, and I've had a few good ones. Here, too, Greg is helping me, even outside of the clinic, to live my life more as I wish to be able to. Greg is a dedicated and gifted massage therapist, and much more, besides. If you are looking for a relaxing environment I would consider going elsewhere. 20 minutes into my massage another client started her massage in the room next to mine and I she was talking so loud and laughing and I could hear the entire conversation about allergies and Halloween movies-not relaxing! Very pleased with my visit to Indulge Spa! I truly can't wait to come back!! I brought a friend of mine here for a mini spa day to celebrate her 30th birthday. It was wonderful from start to finish! We started with facials. Hannah did the facials for us both. She was wonderful. I had never had a facial before, so I didn't really know what to expect. It was so relaxing and felt amazing. My skin is incredibly soft now and I need to have another facial in my life ASAP. I will be back for another soon, I guarantee it. After the facials we each got full body massages. I've had a decent amount of professional massages, and I would say this one definitely ranks among the top. I can't recall the name of the gentleman who did my massage, but he did a great job. I wish I had asked him to do the scalp massage portion longer, that part was probably my favorite! Between services, we waited in a small lounge area which was nice. We were provided with plush comfy robes to wear, as well as slider sandals. We were also given little lockers to keep our belongings, which I appreciated. Went to this spa for the first time on Friday for a massage by Julina and facial by Judy and was pleased with the relaxing services they provided. They, including the receptionist, were attentive to my needs and were personable and helpful. The space is small, but suitably quiet and cozy. Came here for a couples massage and pedicures. The salon is very nice and felt very welcoming. The massage room is very comfortable and our massage therapists were good. My therapist focused on my shoulders and neck as requested. The tables were very comfortable and I was so relaxed I nearly fell asleep! The couples massage ran 160 dollars for both of us which was a bit pricey. Following the massage we got pedicures. The chairs were very uncomfortable and they were straight up and down rather than recliner. However the nail technician was excellent and very friendly. Pedicures were also pricey at $50. I called for a last minute appointment because, per the reviews, others had successfully done so. The receptionist was perfectly professional, and I was looking forward to my service. I agreed to the appointment time offered. I was asked for my credit card number, to keep on file. They have a policy requiring a credit card number to be kept on file, to charge for late cancellations (50%) or no-shows (100%). This probably isn't a frequent means of theft, but intuitively it seems like a bad idea to voluntarily provide my personal financial information to someone I don't know or have reason to trust. No thank you. I politely declined the appointment. Had my credit card number stolen on more than one occasion and sweeping up the mess is a lot of trouble. I'm disappointed this prevented me from doing business with them. They certainly aren't the only spa with this policy. Perhaps it's my loss, but I will never know. If they could come up with a different way of doing business, something along the lines of PayPal, I would be happy to reconsider. I had scheduled today what I was hoping to be a relaxing and enjoyable afternoon and it came nothing short of a nightmare. My shellac manicure and pedicure took just about 4 hours to complete and I had to pass on my scheduled massage. The older gal that did my nails said numerous times that she's not familiar with doing shellac manicures and I was the guinea pig for her 1st shellac pedicure. ‍The polish job is atrocious; I wasted over $100 for a piss poor experience. I didn't leave the technician any tip for that exact reason; I asked the spa coordinator for a full refund as I didn't receive the results that justifies the cost. I just had an amazing 30 minute facial with Rebecca and a 60 minute prenatal massage with Lindsey tonight. I could not have had a better experience! When you check in, you're directed to the restroom/locker room to change into a robe and slippers. Once done, you move over to the relaxation lounge for some tea by the fireplace. The staff are friendly and make sure you're comfortable and have enough hot water. The massage therapists and aestheticians are very professional, allowing you to guide the conversation level per your relaxation needs. I found this spa because I was wanting a last minute massage on a Sunday. It was a long shot, but ta-da! Indulge is open on Sundays! I know that may not matter to most of you, but I LOVE that they have Sunday massage appointments. I have since gone back 2 more times, and all of my massages have been great. Kate does a great job working on my problem areas and addressing my concerns. The location itself is quiet and professional. The relaxation room and lockers in the restrooms are nice and kept clean. She is fantastic as finding all the tight spots and the muscles that needed more attention. She is one that will ensure you are getting the right pressure, and she's a great person to talk to. Do NOT use their online reservation system. I booked a pedicure for myself and one for my daughter, for the same time but different technicians. On the day of the pedicure, received a call only 1.5 hours before our time and were told that the online system does weird things, and there wasn't a pedicure available at the time I had booked. Apparently the system doesn't differentiate between pedicures and manicures and they overbooked. They didn't see this until 1.5 hours before the appointment? And, although I was charged for two pedicures, because I made both under one account my daughter never had an appointment scheduled. There was no information about this online, nor any explanation about what the system can or cannot do.. We canceled. I cannot rate the services, but the reservation system online is pretty horrible. Horrible, horrible customer service! Surprised my pregnant friend for her birthday with a pregnancy massage. I specifically asked the receptionist if they had a prego pillow that my friend could use for her massage so she could safely lay on her belly for the massage. I was assured that they had one she could use. We were never told to arrive early when I booked our appointment to fill out paper work, etc. They DOCKED our "changing and paperwork time" from our of our 60 min massage!!! Then at then end when I was paying, I asked my friend how her massage was and if she enjoyed laying on her belly (since I know she misses sleeping on her stomach). She said that she was NEVER offered the pillow that I specially requested. That pillow was the ENTIRE reason why I booked my appointment there. Apparently the same receptionist failed to put that note in my file. When I complained I was treated like dirt and was offered NO price break on our serves that day. DO NOT visit this spa. I woke up in excruciating pain. Unfortunately, it's Sunday and nothing is open. So I came on here to read some reviews and saw this place is open on Sundays. They were actually able to fit me in within an hour of calling with Alamo for a 90 minute hot stone massage. Alamo was incredible! Everywhere else I've gone in Madison the therapists have very rocky movements and it's hard to relax. He was so fluid, moving from one muscle to the next. Definitely on par to the crazy expensive masseuses in LA where I'm from. I will definitely be going back here!! read more

I was excited to use my gift card to treat myself for a well deserved massage after a long car ride across country. I was able to get in very quickly and my masseuse was wonderful. However, the front desk was lacking. This was only my second massage in a handful of years so I was new to the process. She failed to tell me to arrive sooner for paperwork to begin my massage on time. I felt rushed and anxious before walking into what was supposed to be a relaxing experience. Then when I was finished with my massage and went to pay she tells me that my $30 gift card was only valid of $6! There was no date marked on the card. I had no clue when the person who gave me the card had purchased it or that it depreciated that drastically. Not only was this surprising and frustrating, it left me feeling embarrassed. I had not budgeted to spend an additional $30 on my experience. What if I genuinely did not have the funds?! What was I supposed to do?! What made it more frustrating, there was a customer behind me who chimed in that the same thing happened to her in the past. Obviously, this was not a unique situation. I understand the value of the card may alter, but there should be a way of letting the oblivious person receiving the gift, know this! Bottom line, what could have been a great experience was ruined by someone who did not provide adequate information from the beginning. Their gift card system needs serious improvement to reduce the confusion on new, unknowing customers. I would NOT have gone if I anticipated that extra cost. I will NOT be back or recommend this place to others unless the system changes. What a disappointment. :( read more

I went to the spa to get a massage which was. Great. However a week later I had a facial which was horrible. The person did not introduce herself and her 10 minutes head and neck shoulder massage wAs terrible. I should have stopped the service in middle of the facial. The extractions were so painful and there was nothing relaxing about the facial which is what I signed up for. I notified management with photos of red marks on my face the next day and no follow up. Then I sent a second email canceling a future massage appointment and once they realized I wasn't coming back is when I got a response. I got a discount on a future facial but that discount would not even come close to the $100 loss I experienced with the facial. Overall not the best experience and I am out $100. read more

My husband bought me a gift card to this place as a surprise. We have 3 kids and he wanted me to have a few hours out of the house to relax. I received a subpar Mediocre 1 hour full body Massage. The girl was nice but the massage itself left a lot to be desired. She seemed to focus on my face for about 10 minutes. That was very strange. I've had lots of full body massages and no one has ever massaged my nose, eyebrows, cheeks and face. I was wearing make up and had my hair fixed before walking into the place. She pulled my hair out of a pony tail and then put it back up into a ponytail and repeated this step 3 times during the massage. I thought what is she doing? She has oil all over her hands. Why is she messing with my hair? I've had lots of massages. I've had my scalp massaged and the outline of my face before moving to my neck and shoulders during a full body massage but This was just super odd. I could continue on about this extremely waste of time and money massage but it's almost to hard to believe. Let me just top it off by saying she talked to me on and off the entire hour. She made little jokes and would comment about things in the room or things she was doing and why she was focusing on my calves. How can I relax when the massage therapist won't shut up? I'm not hear to talk to you. I just need you to massage my aching muscles and help relieve the stress, not cause me more. If you have things to tell me then ask questions and talk to me before the massage or take mental notes and talk to me after. I will never return to this establishment. I was so very disappointed. My Mom's birthday was this past week and she said she wanted a massage so I booked her one at Indulge because they actually had an opening (this was 4 days before the appointment). She decided she wanted a pedicure and set me an appointment for one too. I've never had one before and I'm sensitive about people touching my feet. I expressed my concerns with my technician and she was very gentle. My Mom said her massage was excellent and we both had a good time getting pedicures. The atmosphere seems small from the outside but the size of the shop is much larger than it looks and the interior decor is very nice. Upon first arrival they take you to a lounge room with a fireplace and comfy chairs where you can lay back and start relaxing. I'd recommend this spa to anyone who likes good friendly service, a relaxed atmosphere, and fair prices for their massage and beauty needs. read more

I wasn't sure what to expect when going to a spa that's in the same strip mall as animart, but I was pleasantly surprised. I had booked a massage for Saturday morning. The prices were very reasonable especially for how nice the place turned out to be. After checking in at the front desk you go to the restroom where they have lockers available for you to change into a robe and slippers are provided. The lockers have locks with keys attached to a bracelet that you take with you when you head into the little relaxation room. This room has a gas fireplace and two chaise lounge chairs. I was offered bottled water or hot tea. I went with the tea and they had several varieties available along with granola bars in case you are a bit famished. I liked having this little area to unwind a bit before getting straight to the massage. When I did finally go to my room it was very pleasant. The lights were kept nice and dim with candles burning in the corners. I discussed with the masseuse that I was having a little bit of knee pain as well as some upper back stiffness. She did a great job during the massage addressing my areas of concerns as well as relaxing my whole body. There was a choice of three scents that could be added to the massage oil which was also quite lovely. read more

I thought I'd try a new place for my pedicures. This place was $10 cheaper than my current place and after going there, I can see why. I chose to make an appointment for the sole soother.. the longer pedi. The nail station and pedicure stations are in the same area as the front desk/reception area. That surprised me, but didn't bother me. The receptionist was quiet and friendly, she led me to the "relaxation room" in the back and gave me a cup of hot water to make tea with. The room was small but nice, rather cozy. However the break room must be right behind this room, the whole time I was waiting I could hear the employees loudly talking to each other and laughing. At this point I started to have second thoughts if this appointment was a mistake. My nail tech was 5 minutes late taking me to the pedicure chair (she was probably having too good of a time socializing). The polish selection was very selective, not a whole lot of summer-fun colors. That was a really big disappointment. Considering they use OPI, the collection should be much larger... and they could afford to replace the used, almost empty polishes. She sits me in the Chair, mind you she has not smiled at me ONCE... I put my feet in by this time it's close to 10 minutes into the appointment.. she leaves me soak for a good 10-15 minutes. I do enjoy my soaking time, so that's not a complaint. She shapes my toes, buffs my feet, exfoliates, then she lets me soak... again. She comes back applies the mask and leaves me for what left like 15-20 minutes. Then came the massage, maybe 30 seconds each leg/foot. I stand on my feet for a living.. so a quick massage leaves much to desire. I was so disappointed... it's like she used all her time up by letting me soak my feet and walking away. To top it off, she never smiled at me once during my service.. not even when I was done. She asked how my polish looked and it looked great, she painted them perfectly but then she sent me on my way. I know that Rapid dry spray helps prevent smudges but it would have been nice to have 5 minutes to let the polish & lotion settle. (my usual places offers to let me sit in the relaxation room after my service for as long as I'd like) It was an okay experience. If it weren't for the barely there massage I would have definitely returned. It's possible I will return but see a different nail tech. But I have my next pedi scheduled at my usual spa. read more

This was my second mani-pedi with Candice. The first experience was so amazing that I had to go back! Prior to my first visit in May, I was self conscious to get a pedicure due to negative experiences at many other nail spas. (I had been made to feel uncomfortable about the condition of my feet from running.) At my first visit with Candice, I apologized in advance for my feet and explained that I ran and had had previous negative experiences and comments from other nail technicians at other nail spas. She felt so bad that I had had those experiences and said that there was no need to apologize. She continued to make me feel more and more comfortable and relaxed. The second visit was even better for this reason! Candice expertly applied polish to the nail on both my fingers and toes. (No extra polish on cuticles or surrounding skin on fingers or toes!) I had shellac applied to my fingernails and regular polish to my toes. I will definitely look forward to my next visit while enjoying my beautiful fingers and toes. read more

I got a massage here and the massage therapist I had, Matt, was subpar. There was minimal actual massaging, a lot of pressure points that did absolutely nothing, and way too much lotion. Previously, I have only had massages at a massage school, and those were thousands of times better. The amount of pressure, even asking him to use more, was not nearly enough. The massage therapists put a hot towel on the back when they finish the back while they do the legs, however, he pulled the sheet up over the hot towel, so then for the rest of the massage (once the hot towel cooled), I was under a damp sheet. The amount of lotion was absolutely ridiculous. It made the massage tickle and the skin too sensitive. And I was finding gobs of lotion on my skin later. As soon as I got home, I had to shower! The only redeeming factors were that the ambiance was very nice and my significant other got a very nice massage there from a woman. So maybe just Matt was the problem. read more

I have lovedthis place, Ive had a body treatment and facial with Hannah and she was absolutely amazing. The brazilian wax was okay, some hairs left and went over the same spot a few times. I am a former aesthetician and was able to do brazilian waxes in 15-25 minutes and mine took about 45 minutes, and all the little hairs left i said just leave it because it hurt from when she went over it a few times. I also came here before my wedding to get a shellac pedi. I understand that CND has their rules but a "dry" pedi seems outrageous for over $50. No trimming, filing or soaking.. so $50 to paint my nails? No. I went with the Vinylux and was able to soak my feet because I wanted the relaxation. The next week after my wedding we were in Cancun and it chipped. I was not very happy. Will come back for facials and body treatments but not pedicures. read more
