Ivonne was responsive and a clear communicator. She booked my appointment over Yelp and sent me a text and email confirmation. She also called me the day of the appointment to verbally review how to find her location and answer any questions I had. Integrative Health Center is located in the lower floor of its building. Parking was ample. The building was very clean & quiet. Their part of the building was easy to find. If you smell the essential oils - you're headed the right way! The door opens to a quaint front room that is clean & organized with a grow tower in the corner. I booked a massage for two people, and we both filled out a detailed intake form before proceeding with the massage. Ivonne & Seth introduced themselves and we reviewed our intake paperwork and discussed what we were looking for and our lifestyles. Covid precautions were in place and enforced. They sanitized the air and all surfaces and wore two masks. They had contactless check out and hand sanitizer readily available. I felt extremely safe in their location. My massage was with Ivonne and was an hour long aromatherapy/signature massage. Before I changed, Ivonne reviewed exactly what the massage was going to entail. I really appreciated this. I am naturally pretty high strung - so it was quite relaxing for me to have an idea of what was coming during each part of the massage so I never felt surprised. Ivonne provided me with a towel to stand on after changing and a washcloth for washing my hands. There was a chair and table for my belongings. The massage table was VERY comfortable - with super soft cozy sheets that were the perfect temperature! Ivonne has a few salt lamps lighting the room and plays very relaxing music - I was very comfortable and relaxed. Ivonne was just the right amount of chatty - it was like she knew when you wanted to chat but also knew when you wanted to zone out for a second! She seemed to be able to zero in on my trouble spots without me even pointing them out. In addition to the relaxing & effective massage - Ivonne provided some amazing tips that felt personalized & applicable to my lifestyle! She talked through some oils she was using and their benefits to me, she offered restaurant recommendations for dinner, she suggested a tip that may help with she fatigue due to screen time, she gave an idea of a band I may like (Black Violin - check them out!) - it was awesome! After the massage, check out was seamless (and contactless) and Ivonne gave some more tips on best practices post massage. Overall - if you're in the Madison area - get a massage here! I've been an amateur athlete most of my life in sports with high potential for damaging your body. I was a computer geek for decades. I'm an abuse survivor. I've had multiple broken bones , carpal tunnel syndrome, knee issues starting in the 70's which have gotten into degeneration which lead to hip issues. I carry stress in my shoulders. Pain is something that is another part of the day without any outside means. The following may sound counter intuitive but I learned long ago that you have to see through pain to get through so much that I refuse to not live the best most active life I can. Hannah's massages have greatly increased my ability to to just so and helped me feel more positive in general. I walk pretty good distances for an old lady, averaging 5 miles per day with some days more. I dance every chance I get and have work my old body needs to do around the house where my legs and arms have plenty of knots of their very own. Well before she is done with her magic within my muscles and what she can do structurally so much of the stress and pain in my body are released or smoothed out. When she's done I feel taller as she has made my body straighten out. My mind is always calmer. Today started out rough for me but I felt so wonderful leaving that I walked most of the 6 miles home.
