She was direct and she allowed me to talk it through. She really listens and reflects to me resonating messages that help me open my eyes, mind, and eventually my heart to let the energy go that no longer serves me. She made a great start on loosening up some areas that are consistently tight, and I can already feel the difference. Prior to your massage, the therapist will chat briefly with you about your goals for the session. They also offer water and a small snack plate (sliced apple and carrot, cracker, and chocolate) which you can enjoy before or after your massage, which is a really nice touch. Following the massage, they'll let you know what areas of tension they noticed, and give suggestions for things you can do at home to help relieve them. Their scheduling system is a little unusual - you don't make an appointment for a certain length of massage. Rather you choose wellness session or full body treatment- each of which has a time range. It's not clear how the therapist decides on the length of the session, although you are able to let them know if you need to be done in a certain amount of time. Also, although they have evening and weekend hours, those seem to be booked well in advance, so if you don't have daytime availability it may be difficult to get in. Street parking is easy to find, but is 2 hours during the day, which might be a problem with longer sessions. Overall this is a really nice place for a massage, and I definitely recommend Geri!

I had done Pilates DVDs at home but never had a private session so wasn't sure what to expect. Melissa could tell right away that my low back curve was pretty extreme and the exercises I had been told to do by my therapist were actually making things worse. She was able to guide me through exercises that looked simple but really made me focus on my core and form. She also suggested modifications to personalize the exercises for my needs. I left feeling a ton better and can't wait to take her group class in a couple weeks.
