I booked my appointment three months prior and she had called in sick without any notification except an email which I didn't check. I had the facial/foot stress reliever package done by Ericka, and I can say the service was high-quality matching some big city spas I have been to. From the second I slipped under the sheets of the heated massage table, I knew I would be in heaven. The custom facial felt amazing, and my skin looked healthy and rejuvenated after. I really enjoyed my massage with Michelle. She just has a great technique and I enjoyed my first experience with hot stones. She even recommended I get my neck looked at by a chiropractor, of course fully acknowledging she's not a professional but something felt off to her. Little did she know I actually did a have a neck injury in the past and the chiropractor helped correct the issue. I will absolutely be back! I had an amazing experience at The Haven Spa last week! I went in for a 40 minute facial and a 75 minute massage. I've never had a facial, but I'm already thinking about when I can go back and get another one. It was so relaxing and Ericka did a really great job being gentle with my skin and giving me tips. She was so friendly and we had easy, pleasant conversation the whole time. My massage was with Jennifer who was just as lovely...very attentive to any feedback on the pressure, room temp, etc. and frequently checked in to make sure I was comfortable. The spa was clean and the ambiance was great. 10/10 would recommend! read more

Our couples massage for our anniversary was nothing short of amazing. I have had other individual massages and facials here which are also top-notch, but the couples experience was something special. I LOVE facials. But, as a homeschooling mom, I don't get much time to sneak away for an hour to myself. I managed to snag a somewhat last minute appointment with Christine last week for a customized facial, and it was absolutely one of the best I have experienced. It was the perfect blend of treatment for my dry, winter, hormonal-acne prone skin, and true pampering and relaxation. Loved how she took time prior to the appointment to discuss my expectations of the treatment and talk about my skin. I have to go with the various reviews here and on TripAdvisor. I had a 90 minute massage with a male therapist and it was the worst massage I've ever had. I get massages regularly. This fellow never got past using brusque strokes just used to warm the muscle up, utterly missed all the relevant muscles in the neck and shoulders. I asked him 4 times to increase the pressure, which request he ignored - I've never had to ask more than once for a change in pressure and I usually don't at all. I wanted to walk out, but frankly was too tense and exhausted. The spa itself is also in serious need of updating. That would have been excusable if the massage had been good. read more

PROS: Great massage therapist = great massages CONS: Quality of massage depends on your massage therapist My hubby and I wanted to treat ourselves to a relaxing, full body massage. We picked the Haven Spa due to lower prices and great ratings. My massage therapist was actually pretty good. She was attentive, informative, focused on trouble areas, and helped a lot with working out knots on my legs and upper back. I was impressed with her dedication to her work. My hubby, on the other hand, had a male massage therapist who didn't care enough to focus on his problem areas and did a half-assed job on the massages. Even upon entering the establishment, the male massage therapist had an expression that showed that he really did not want to be there. Needless to say, my hubby left sorely disappointed. To ensure a great experience, you really need to do your research and request a specific massage therapist that you know will do an excellent job, as massages are so expensive these days. read more

These people are fantastic. My wife and I got a couples massage right before our wedding day. After several stressful months of planning, working, and me attending grad school, we were walking knots. They are so attentive to your needs and really know what they are doing without you asking. The gentleman who took care of me, Greg, recognized I had a lot of tension in my neck and right shoulder and diligently worked out several knots from the area. We left feeling completely rejuvenated and went back just two weeks later to celebrate my wife's birthday. What an amazing experience and wonderful people! read more

Came here because I had a Visa gift card from Christmas and was itching for a little relaxation. I was looking to get a facial and massage, and once I saw that the Haven offered a package for $145 for both, I was sold. I was also able to get in that day which was impressive. Now, the space itself is nothing special. It's in the basement of an office building and you kind of get the feeling that if you were there on a weekday you'd be surrounded by business people while walking around in your robe - not my vision of relaxation. The bathrooms are also outside of the spa, so you have to walk through the hallway and use the communal bathroom that I'm sure is shared with other businesses. I also appreciate when places have a space where you can change into your robe and sit while waiting for your treatments. This place did not have that and I was very disappointed. My facial was fine though I have definitely had better. I asked for a moisturizing facial since winter can really dry out my skin and it definitely helped. My massage was also fine. Nothing spectacular and not horrible either. Both services took the entire hour which I appreciated. I have paid for an hour long massage at other places and only been in the room for 50 or so minutes. I won't be back, but if you're looking for cheap spa services with not a lot of ambiance than this place may be for you. read more

They have belly pillows and I felt safe and secure and felt like I got an actual great massage... They had to move locations and their new spot is cute and cozy! Shelly (Michele Duncan Hadley) is excellent. I don't get massages too frequently, but I think this one was the best I have ever had. She seemed much more aware of the underlying anatomy than your average MT - just hit every spot perfectly. A real pro. She also listens - it seems with many other massages I have had that the pre- and during-massage instructions (pressure, problem areas, etc.) have little impact on the actual massage I receieved; not so with Shelly - again, just a pro at what she does. The spa is nice - comfortable, quiet, everything you'd expect. I found the prices reasonable too. read more

I made an appointment online, and the owner of Haven Spa cancelled it less than 24 hours ahead of time later that week via text message. She said they had had a small fire in one of the spa rooms and had to close. There was no apology for the inconvenience and no offer to try and make it up to me even if it was just something small like 10% off my next service there. It was completely unprofessional. Their policy is that if I had cancelled on them with less than 24 hours notice I would be responsible for paying for the entire service even in an emergency where I couldn't make it (like a fire), yet I got no apology or anything for my inconvenience. Just a text informing me that the appointment was cancelled and to respond to let them know I received this message. Very unimpressed. read more

My girlfriend got us a couples massage at Haven and it was absolutely superb. First we were treated with a nice foot soak. While we were soaking our feet they brought in Fresh Strawberries and Champagne. Being from Wisconsin, Alcohol always ads to the experience! After the Foot Soak we were treated to an hour of pure bliss. The Massages were great. Shelly and Christine did a great job. All doubts were obliterated when we got in and ready for our couples massage. The staff were extremely professional and the massage room provided a relaxing and quiet environment.
