I've had more meh experiences here than good. I think the quality of service varies GREATLY based on what tech you get, but the prices will stay the same (expensive). I'm fine paying more for higher quality products which I do believe they use but I think they should vet the techs a bit better. read more

Let me tell you about my wild adventure at this so-called "bougie" salon. Buckle up; it's quite a ride! So, I had a 3:00 p.m. appointment on June 20th. First, they asked for my credit card info just to have on file. Not sure if they do that to everyone or if I looked extra suspicious, but who feels comfortable with their card details floating around some random salon? Not me. Anyway, I arrived, and they shoved a notepad in my face, making me read and sign a waiver at lightning speed. A waiver for a salon visit? This place was already giving me "sign away your firstborn" vibes. The kicker? If I sued them over COVID-19, I'd have to cover their legal fees too! Just a heads-up: read before you sign anything here. Despite their "Bougie" facade, there was nothing upscale about this joint. The dress code, at least for my tech, was highly questionable. She wore a dirty old bra with a worn-out tank top and shorts so short they constantly migrated to her crotch. I asked for a "professional" tech and was assured mine was top-notch. Professional? Not in this universe. When we got down to business, I asked for almond-shaped nails, but we settled on round since my nails were too short. The polish removal process was a marathon--30 minutes!--and then she started trimming my nails without looking, slicing into the skin beneath them. Ouch! I yanked my hand back, not keen on sacrificing my fingers today. She just stared blankly at me. Fabulous. Filing my nails was like watching a toddler color outside the lines. Then, she dropped the bomb: two of my nails would be square-shaped. Excuse me? I said no, but she insisted. So, I borrowed the nail file and demonstrated that round nails were indeed possible. Without a word, she walked off to another tech and complained. Cue the drama! The "master nail tech" stormed over, shouting, "Hey, hey, hey!" (That's not my name, by the way). She launched into a tirade about how clients don't file their own nails. Felt like I was back in kindergarten getting scolded by the teacher. Finally, I asked her to trim my cuticles. Instead of using a softener or water, she just yanked at them dry. It was like watching someone prune a cactus with their bare hands. I asked if they ever used a softener, and she bluntly replied, "No." Charming. As I complimented her nail art (because why not try to be nice?), my manicure wrapped up, and I was left alone waiting for my pedicure. That's when the salon manager approached me and said my nail tech didn't feel comfortable continuing and that I needed to leave. Shocked but not one to make a scene, I prepared to pay for my crappy manicure. As I took out my credit card, the salon owner suddenly got hostile and threatened to call the police if I didn't leave immediately. WHAT?! I was just trying to pay! She stormed outside, so I followed, phone in hand, ready to record. They charged me $4 extra for the nail polish remover, likely because I was a "special" white Ukrainian with a heavy accent. As the owner ranted about a "language barrier," I couldn't help but laugh at the absurdity. Outside, as I recorded on my phone, the owner bizarrely wanted me to take some other client's used water bottle and claimed I had a language barrier. Lady, I understood everything perfectly: you overcharged me, refused me service, and acted like I was the problem. Newsflash: it's you and your "bougie" salon with anger issues. By the way, it turns out I'm not the only one who's had a run-in with this place. According to Google reviews, being booted out seems to be their favorite sport, right up there with charging extra and providing subpar services. So, to anyone considering a visit to this "Bougie" salon, beware! You might find yourself signing away your legal rights, dealing with a tech in a dirty old bra, and being yelled at by someone who thinks "Hey, hey, hey" is your name. And if you're really lucky, you might even get kicked out and overcharged, just like me. Cheers to finding a new salon where the only surprises are the ones you actually want. read more

There are a lot of complaints on here about how expensive and long the appointments are at Pure Nails but they offer a premium, high-quality service that takes time. The techs at Pure Nails are detail-oriented, kind and it never feels like they're just trying to rush you out the door. They will take the time to make sure you are completely satisfied with how your nails turn out and don't cut corners with things like cuticle care. The salon is also extremely clean and well decorated. As someone who has been to cheaper and faster salons, I am happy to spend a little more time and money at Pure Nails to avoid the experiences I have had at other salons where I leave with sore nail beds and bleeding cuticles from the e-file. Be prepared to spend more time and money here but know that after visiting regularly for months I can vouch that the end result is always worth it. I've had a few different techs here and Stella is particularly wonderful. She is so kind and fun to talk to and delivers a wonderful service. read more

Went here for the first time getting gel for my bridal manicure with my sister - we loved it!! Place books up way ahead of time and I can see why. I sent in some photos of inspo I wanted recreated, and was recommended the nail tech Jade, and she absolutely killed it! My sister and I both were treated very kindly, everyone is so sweet and the salon is the nicest set up I've been to. 4 weeks later and my gel nails are still going strong (last slide). I really like Pure nails - I feel like I know what I am getting in advance and get good service. I have gotten both gel manis and non-gel pedis here, and both services have been great. Some of their service providers are called "proteges" who are newer, but everyone I've had has given a great mani/pedi, no matter their experience level. I like that they have a quiz on their website, making sure you're booking with someone that has the skills you are looking for. Also, the space is very clean and the front desk person is really helpful and knowledgeable. I'd recommend this place! read more

My appointment for a regular pedicure and gel manicure started 20 minutes late and then lasted two and a half hours. Everything about the experience just felt very slow Also, these two services cost about $100, which is higher than other salons I've been to in the area. read more

Appt. with my niece (07-10-24 @ 11a) while she visited, this was a pedicure unlike any I've had before & I believe the same can be said for her. My pedicure began with NO WATER in my basin, proceeded to remove old polish, cut, remove old skin etc... Then runs water ankle deep ?? Really! Asked for shorter trim on a nail she couldn't do, lastly no leg massage, hot towel, lotion. My associatel was Liv, very nice place but I don't think we will not return. + No place to sit & dry once your pedi is finished. Expectations were not met. read more

Exceedingly average. Customer service is unfriendly and unhelpful. Technician turnover is very high, they can't seem to retain quality people. The place lacks warmth and humanity - just like their technicians. The services are overpriced and not the luxury that is promised. To get a decent color nail polish, you have to do the gel polish which is more expensive than regular polish. If you chose the regular polish, you have to wait a long time for it to dry - they do not have the spray that other places have, to dry them quicker. My sports mani and gel pedi took 2 1/2 hours! The first time, I thought it was a fluke, but it took 2 1/2 hours every time. The last time I was there was the last time. I was a very regular, loyal customer and have been treated like a no name, no face, bag of money. read more

The place is super clean and all of the technicians have absolutely the most beautiful vibe. I am just a little disappointed that I had to pay over $100 (granted that is with the tip because I still left 20%) I had to pay $45 to get my dip removed, which was fine because this place does not do acrylic or dip. As the other reviewers mention, it did take a while.. I believe my appointment was at 4:30 and I got out of there at around 7:20 for a gel mani. I was in no rush so it was not that big of a deal but it definitely is something to keep in mind when making an appointment. I believe the thing I'm most disappointed about is that I have gotten my service 6 days ago, so it has not been a week.. and my nails have already began to peel. I went to Pure Nails thinking I was about to get some elite service . . . I was wrong. Typically I switch between having long extensions and short natural nails so I figured I would give Pure Nails a shot. First, the vibe is awesome in there & I think a lot of other nail salons could learn a thing or two from Pure Nails. My issue, however, was the service itself. I got a full set of nails done & it took THREE & 1/2 HOURS. I have never in my life spent that long in a nail salon, let alone for 1 service! That made me beyond antsy & I was ready to just get up and go. The other part that was disappointing is the price -- I get this is "natural" but I shouldn't have had to spend almost $200 on a full set that would grow out 2 weeks later. To top it off, my nails were completely busted & jank after 3 days but I went on a work trip for a week and couldn't have them fixed . . . Instead, I got the nails taken off & got an entirely new set somewhere in the middle of Austin, TX for $60 and they looked amazing, and only took an hour! Since I got sick on a Sunday, a day they're closed, and my appointment was on Monday, they charged me $65 for not cancelling 24 hours ahead.
