We never crated Bandit. Our primary issues were: leash pulling, jumping and recall. Each week, Coach Abeer added value to her class. She emphasized the importance of establishing a leadership role, a solid/respectful relationship with your puppy, the importance of crate training and the importance of mental and physical exercise. Bandit did not like the crate the first couple weeks. It's been a few months and now he goes on command during the day for a couple hours and every night for bedtime. He no longer whines and understands the value of "place" (elevated bed) when not in his crate. He doesn't pull and sits when greeting strangers. After her 6 week class, one private one-on-one home session, a week for a board and train and then doggy day care, we established boundaries and gave him structure which has helped with his separation anxiety. There is so much that we learned that we never knew. We highly recommend her class. She is direct with her training but we know she has the best interest of the puppy. Some people may not like to hear "bad" news about how they have been training their dog but if you're open, it will make a world of difference to your dog. Bandit is much more respectful and knows his place. We are satisfied.

He said we had to leave him there. Really? A man of God, dog trainer and supposed animal lover and you just leave him to fend for himself knowing this poor dog needed help. You will not get me to believe that there wasn't something you could have done. He also commented how his daughter cried for an hour after this. I can imagine she did. What a horrific thing to do to an animal in need. At first I just commented to his post that I could never have done that and wasn't there anything he could have done to help. No comment from him. I waited awhile and put a review on Google with the rest of his 5 star reviews. It wasn't long until he removed the post about the stray dog and I was unable to get back on his Facebook and still can't, so I assume he either blocked me or made a new Facebook. The dogs did well but this type of training did not addresses some of the behavior issues. The day care is set up perfectly for the dogs. They have places to play inside and outside, dog beds, plenty of spots to sit by themselves too if they don't want to play that day (I have one who sometimes wants to sit on the couch by herself most of the day). The girls get groomed here on their regular days which is super convenient since it takes something off our list of things to do. Plus, I have one dog who is scared of the clippers, but she already trusts Ms. Deborah so she's doing better with grooming. We have done several boarding visits too. I love that the girls don't have to spend time in crates when we are away. Neither of my dogs does well in a crate. I know they are safe, well cared for, and being loved while we are away.
