Y'all had him for a week!! An then on top of that I didn't even receive all of his things back. I spent 417 to have missing items an a dog I have to take straight to the vet! Took him to the vet.. He had bloody gums that are swollen. It was so bad it took awhile to even open his mouth to even look. He wasn't eating so who knows how long he wasn't eating there. We had to buy him soft food for him. This place is a joke!! IM SO PISSED !! Paying that much you would think they would actually pay attention an care about my son (my dog). Worst place I have ever taking him !!

We hesitantly took our sweet little dog to the Grand and boarded him for a week. The people there…read moreare friendly and you can tell they love animals. I was less nervous after talking to them and having all of my questions answered (Will he be left in a room all day? Is there a lot of barking? Can I call every day to check on him? etc.). We opted to add "playcare" each day so he could get out more than the 3 walks they would give him. I absolutely loved that I could watch him on a webcam while he was in playcare. His room was not a fancy suite- they do have webcams inside the more expensive rooms. The people that work there are great, they listened to my paranoia and special requests. I even heard one customer requesting they switch out her dog's toys each day so he didn't get bored. They really got to know my dog while he was there. It is pricey, but I felt like it was really worth it to be able to trust them completely and to be able to watch our baby playing with the other dogs and having fun.

They were particular about the way his food was packaged, no big deal but tell me that when I make the appointment. Like send an email or something with "to do's". I've always put his food in a single gallon zip lock bag when I've dropped him off but this was the only time it was mentioned. No biggie but they could be on the same page or consistent with what they want. When I picked my pup up, it smelled badly in there and on the cameras, the dogs seemed to be unhinged. He came out extremely high energy, still well from the bath they gave, but very thirsty. When we got in the truck, I let him drink out of my water bottle and when we got home I filled his bowl 3x in 10 mins with water. Later that day he had the poops which lasted 3 whole days. Randomly runny poop throughout the day which he hasn't had since he was 6 months old. Not sure if they booked too many and were less attentive but again, this time was different. Still gave 4 stars because this is the first time out of all of my visits that this has been an issue but for $450 (this includes the $57 tip I left) things could've been better.

I have boarded my dog here a couple times when I have gone on vacation. It has become a routine EVERY TIME. When I had called the establishment about his situation, they told me no one was sick during his stay, but he was completely fine before we had left. The place can sometimes be overrun with so many dogs at times and I just wish there was honesty with his stay when asked. I do like camp now wow with their pros but I am always out more money after his boarding

I've been meaning to post a glowing review for Happy Tails Dog Sitting on Yelp for quite some time…read more Samantha and Norm are the BEST. She treats your dog as if he was her own and sends you daily updates (via email or text) with pictures, reassuring you that your dog is in great hands and doing well. Most recently, my dog Prince stayed with her for a week - the longest he's been away from home - and his birthday fell during that stay. She baked him the most adorable doggie cake for me to take home to celebrate when I got back, and also got him a Prince crown cookie with his name on it and sent me pics of him in a party hat! He also got a solo walk to PetSmart with Norm to pick his own toy, and an egg for breakfast - one of his favorite foods to eat! I am always blown away by how caring and loving they are and it makes me feel so much better if and when I have to travel, knowing that Prince is in good hands! I adopted him when he was 4 years old, and he had been owner surrendered at a shelter so the thought of boarding him at a kennel just made me so upset. I found her on Yelp and Prince has stayed with her 3 times so far, and I can't say enough great things about Samantha and Norm. 100% recommend them to anyone who wants a home away from home for their dog while they're away. She even checks in periodically, especially right after the stay, to check in on my pup and make sure he's doing well! And the first few visits, she even provided a wonderful take home bag with toys and homemade treats for Prince. So incredibly sweet and well priced. And much better than the options I've seen on DogVacay, which can be $50-75/night for minimal supervision! I'll be back the next time I go out of town!

I really wanted to give Happy Tails a chance, but the complete lack of urgency and poor…read morecommunication made that impossible. I've been trying to plan for a week-long work trip at the beginning of May, followed some time in Europe, and needed to secure boarding. Over three days, I submitted multiple intake forms (in case the first didn't go through), sent texts, and called. There was no follow-up, no acknowledgment. Nothing. The only response I received was a single text saying they weren't accepting new boarders until May 1 and to fill out a request form...which I had already done multiple times. If you're too busy to take on new clients, that's completely understandable. But ignoring repeated outreach and sending a generic, unhelpful response isn't. Communication matters, especially when people are trying to make plans with real deadlines. They may be great with dogs, but based on this experience, I wouldn't rely on them if you expect professionalism or responsiveness.
