Firstly for appetizers/small plates, we ordered the burrata (this dish seems to be seasonal with the menu alternating between different fruit accompanying the burrata every few months or so; during our visit, it was paired with apple). We also tried the pretzel calamari (I was very curious what about this made it pretzel inspired as I've never seen this combo before but we discovered it was cooked in a pretzel coating, and it was definitely worth trying) and the Hendys Tendys (served with Texas toast and fries). For drinks if you like spicy and savory, you can't beat the spicy pickle margarita which has tequila, orange liqueur, muddled jalapeño, pickle juice, lime, agave syrup and garnished with gherkins (small pickled cucumbers similar to cornichons) and a Thai chili. I wish his name was on the receipt because he was doing a great job and I wanted to acknowledge his efforts. He was pleasant and friendly despite having to do everything himself. There are about 20 beers on tap so the wife and I each had a beer and the kid a soft drink. We ordered a small cheese pizza for the kid and we shared a "Tavern Favorite" which comes with spicy sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, and purple onions. We skipped the onions.
