Laura was treating me to lunch for my birthday that has since passed. This was our first time here…read more We've heard good things about the place. When we walked in, we saw a huge table of senior citizens, maybe about 20-30! We decided to stay. There was only one Bartender and one Waitress. The place was packed. We sat by the window seats-that was all that was left to sit at. The Waitress was very attentive(even though she was slammed). Today's special was shrimp baskets. Shrimp could be cooked three ways. I chose fried w/onion rings(fresh-not frozen rings) & and a 50/50 tea. My meal was delicious. Laura had blackened shrimp w/broccoli. We both enjoyed our meals and had a great conversation. I had $40.00 cash on me and Laura had a card to treat me, but the internet and card machine had just gone down. So I paid for the meal and tip. Laura Cash App'd me $40.00. Pros:big place with a very friendly atmosphere. Great service and food. Cons:it was out of their control that the machine went down. Recommend:Yes

I ordered the blackened grouper bites and the bartender suggested a special sauce for them. Very sweet bartender. Very casual neighborhood restaurant and I'm very glad I popped in for a light dinner. Came in my workout clothes and it was just fine. :) Also, full liquor bar. The blackened grouper bites and THAT SAUCE! Yum!!!

Was excited to try the Luck of the Irish pop-up appetizers with friends, but we left disappointed…read more The St. Paddy's Day decor was nice, however the floors, tablecloth, chairs, and even the seat cushions were extremely sticky. Staff mentioned it was from drinks spilled by other guests, which really showed a lack of proper cleaning. We ordered all six appetizers but only received five, as the Guinness pub cheese never came out. The Reuben eggrolls were a 4/5 and the giant pretzel for two was a 5/5, but the other three appetizers were about a 1/5. The specialty drinks were also underwhelming. Angela's drink was mostly ice with very little flavor, especially disappointing for $15. My Irish cream drink needed ice added several times. I'm also unsure why a 13% gratuity was automatically added when there were only four of us with three separate checks. For two appetizers and two drinks, my bill came to $63 with tip. Very overly priced. Our waitress was very nice and accommodating, but she mentioned she was also the bartender, waitress and host, so it seemed like they were understaffed. Unfortunately, between the cleanliness issues, missing item, and underwhelming food and drinks, I'm not sure I'd come back.

Charlie was the lead bartender and our server, he is absolutely fantastic!! Such a people person with such a kind demeanor! So glad we had him! We started with the potato skins, which were delish! I chose the chicken quesadilla and my friend chose the chicken tenders with fries. Speaking as someone who LOVES a quesadilla...this one was perfect!! Put together well and did not fall apart one bit, very flavorful, and the tortilla was cooked correctly and was a perfect golden color, zero burn marks!! My friend loved her tenders as well, the crinkle fries were great too! Definitely will return to try more items!! The decor at this time for the Sippin Santa is the perfect ambiance for some fun & a night out! We had a great time, keep it up Laura- you've got a very special thing going here!!!

The Red Gill Bistro - The potato and meat pizza was my least favorite. And not because it didn't taste good but because the combo wasn't for me.

I can't believe there is BBQ this good in Florida…read more This joint was hopping on a Saturday afternoon. You can order at the counter for take out or dine in. They also have a full service bar where you can order. Brisket sandwich is legit good. But the King Sandwich has cheese sauce, two jalapeño poppers, and smoked sausage for only $2 more. Mac and Cheese is heavy on the cheese and delicious. Potato salad is different. I enjoyed it but the flavor contrasts with the bbq flavors instead of complimenting them. Multiple sauce bottles are available at your table and I was surprised that I enjoyed the western Carolina style the most. Banana pudding was good. I would definitely come back when in JAX.

Smaller price, but smaller beer. Pic attached represents what was handed to me before I took a sip - stingy and flat. Got the burnt ends and jalapeño poppers for an appetizer, and the wings for dinner. Burt ends were delicious, smoky and flavorful. However, poppers and wings were pretty bland. They could have used more seasoning. It's an ok place and definitely very popular. Lots of after work traffic dropping in. I just don't get the appeal of a happy hour short on pour and bland bbq. But hey, it's just my taste and opinions.
