I was greeted respectfully by Donovan who quickly assessed the key I needed to duplicate and found that he had the base key material in stock. Donovan expertly duplicated 5 keys in a short amount of time all which subsequently worked. So grateful this place exists and will highly recommend!

Fast, efficient, aware of not leaving a mess and fun conversation. The two locks, extra keys and new doorknob work like a charm now and it is a massive relief to have gotten everything sorted out. I highly recommend Eli's workmanship and he has the A Team working for him. THANK YOU guys!!

I first called a different neighborhood locksmith. After looking at the door, he says that because of the security bar on the doorframe, he'd have to more or less break in, ruin my lock, install a new one. Told me $400. I said no. I didn't know WHAT I was going to do but I felt like this guy was bilking someone in a tight spot who couldn't assess the problem herself (as locksmiths and mechanics are wont to do). This spidey sense was CONFIRMED when, after my initial no, the guy slashed the price to $200. At that point I straight up didn't want to do business with him (liar!) and sent him away. Ten minutes later he calls me back. Says he can get me into the apartment for $150. But "get into the apartment" wasn't a figure of speech--he meant it literally. He'd break my lock, let me in, then leave. A broken lock for $150, wow, what a deal!!!! At this point, a neighbor on the street gives me the number for AJA. I'm not expecting them to pick up since it's after business hours. But I got a hold of someone there just as he was, well, locking up. I explained the situation, the security bar, all of it. He came over right away and picked the lock in less than two minutes. "The younger guys don't know how to do this," he said. Cost me less than $200. Thank god I called AJA for a second opinion. If this happens again, they'll be my first call. But not planning on it--heading there today to make an extra set of spares!

After being quoted $3/key for making 4 duplicates of 3 different keys ($36), I was told the total would be $75. "Oh yeah", says the guy behind the counter, "one of your keys is actually $13 to duplicate." Now I understand when mistakes are made, but a) telling me after you make the key that the cost is 4x what you quoted is NOT an honest mistake AND b) my neighbor told me, THEY DID THE EXACT SAME THING TO HER , just 3 months ago. Quoted $3/key, made her duplicates and then changed the price on one of her keys to $13 each after they had finished. Bait-and-switch anyone?

When I call they told me that they would't be able to give me a price and that the technician was going to that when he arrived. Once the Tech arrived he saw my lock and told me that the only way to open the door was to drill it so, I said okay, then I asked how much? He said $250 for drilling. Then I asked, how much for a new lock ? He said $280 + service fee + tax - overall the whole experience cost me $713 dollars for a new lock and the lock out service. The next day I called to verify the prices and I was told those were the prices and that it varies by Techs. I told them that I felt the prices too much and that it didn't seem fair. I got a call from them later saying that they'll refund me $100 dollars to make me happy. The total price was $613 dollars - I think it was still a bit much - I think the price should have been more around $300 to $400 but, maybe it's my unpopular opinion. Also, note that I did call them around 7:40 pm and I got the service around 8:00 pm. I'll say that before you use them make sure you get the prices before hand. If I knew it was going to cost me that much I would of shop around. I give them 3 stars because they were not upfront with the prices and they only tell you once the tech gets to your house. Service was great tho. Update: I was contacted by Lior (the manger) and he apologize for the situation I described above - he acknowledged that the price was too high and that the tech should have been upfront with me. He mentioned that his guys were busy due to the Jewish Holiday so the job was done by a freelancer - the reason why I was overcharged. He mentioned they don't do business this way and that he wanted to correct this / make things right. I sent him a picture of my lock and told him the services I got - he said that for the service I got the total should have been $239.53 and he refunded me $373.47 + $100 I got refunded earlier. I really appreciate Lior reaching out and making things right for me. I'm updating my rating to 5 stars because of what he did and I will be considering this company in the future / recommending them. I really hope my experience and transparency helps others in the case this happens to you.
