Dia de los Burritos has its concept/brand on point but unfortunately the food does not live up to the hype at all. The overall aesthetic and concept is what compelled me to stop in here. The inside was well decorated. They sell A LOT of Dia de los Burritos branded items, from multiple styles of t-shirts to hot sauces to skate decks. The stickers are free. They have a board up that shows a small selection of the full menu. It was only until after I ordered at the register that I noticed the little menu card on the counter that had many more options. I ordered the vegan tacos but they have the "impossible" plant-based meat available too (not listed on their menu board, only on the menu card). The tacos were very underwhelming. I'm not exaggerating when I say there was zero seasoning--no chili powder, no garlic, no cilantro, not even salt. The tortillas were straight out of the bag, not warmed or prepared in anyway. My friend who ordered the chicken tacos noted that the chicken was dry and unseasoned as well. They were overpriced. $12 and change for 3 tacos that were mostly lettuce. The meal came with a little bag of chips but they were supermarket variety--a fairly lazy move considering every Mexican place under the sun fries their own chips in house. The food overall is a loose, hipster-ized interpretation of Mexican, where anything goes as long as it comes in a tortilla.

I wanted to like this place really bad since they had vegan options but they are a bit pricey. For one vegan quesadilla with salsa, guac, and chips, I spent $25. The quesadilla didn't come with any lettuce, sour cream or anything that would give it extra pizzazz. The quesadilla was good but not worth the money.

Really enjoyed this Mexican place in Pitman. We started out with chips although they were not fresh they tasted fresh. The queso was tasty and the salsa and guacamole tasted fresh as well. I had the taco trio and my favorite was the bacon ranch beef. My son had the build your own burrito that weighed more than a pound! Overall good food and will come back.

Where's the beef??? First time ordering and we were very dissatisfied. None of the burritos or tacos had the amount of proteins that you would expect. Maybe this small business is hit hard by the cost of meats. Advice to ownership...invest in taco containers as well. Tacos wrapped in foil just doesn't cut it.

There's no need to look any further for incredible Mexican food in Gloucester County. This little eatery in Pitman is just a gem. I first stopped in a couple months ago with a friend prior to a brewery visit. We were taking advantage of the BYOF. They do also deliver directly to both breweries if that's your preference. I ordered the bacon chipotle cheese quesadilla with chicken ($9.62), and added a bag of nachos with queso. At the brewery, I quickly realized I bought too much food and gave my tablemates most of my nachos. I also found the cheese a bit too spicy for my pweny tolerance. But the quesadilla? SO GOOD! Like, so good I kept wanting to return almost immediately for another one. It was one of those meals that stuck with me. Last night, after a subpar meal nearby (like, so bad I didn't actually eat it), I called in a take-out order. I was worried because I called at 7:30 knowing they close at 8 pm Tuesday to Thursday nights. But when I walked in fifteen minutes later, most tables were still full. Phew. I still haven't actually tried their burritos -- I'll get around to that eventually...you can build your own after all! -- but they still deserve five stars based off those killer quesadillas. They even warm up well, and thats rare!

I really enjoyed the concept of this place. BYOB, sit where ever you'd like, and build your own burrito. They even had a vegetarian/vegan option which was a plus. Unfortunately my bowl tasted nothing but average. I definitely expected more. The rice was over cooked and mushy, the vegan option was barely seasoned, and the rest of the ingredients tasted quite bland. My boyfriend had a similar experience with his burrito. He ordered jalapeños in his burrito and only had one while explaining the chicken was not seasoned and the meal was barely appetizing. Not a terrible experience but it will not be my first choice for Mexican. I wanted to like this place more then I did.

Very cool and hip spot for surprisingly good burritos with a modern twist in downtown Pitman. I was helping a friend with his kitchen renovation and he took me to Dia De Los Burritos, claiming they had great burrito. He was not incorrect. To order their burrito, the customer gets this pretty cool mini clipboard and one creates their own concept burrito, deciding what ingredients you want. There were meat and vegetarian options and different levels of spice or heat one could choose. Dia De Los Burritos uses fresh ingredients and the portion size was also good. I ordered the junior burrito and it was plenty big. They also have quesadillas and tacos. I ordered the chicken and pretty much most of the toppings. Some were slightly extra like avocado. There is some cool seating inside for dining in. Pitman is becoming a really interesting little South Jersey town. I'll definitely be back to Dia De Los Burritos the next I visit. 4 Yelp stars

Dia De Los Burritos is centered in the small town of Pitman, and it is one of my favorite places to nom on some tacos or a burrito. The atmosphere is extremely home-y and relaxing, and the food does not disappoint. They have many regular menu items that are offered each day, but they also enjoy spicing it up with specials, to keep it interesting! Please stop in and check them out, you won't regret it! And, don't forget to try their house-made hot sauces too!

However, the portions were very limited in comparison to the price. I think they are getting a little greedy with pricing and portions. One person in my party ordered the mixed fajitas and it's was more than $20 for about a 6oz a chopped meats with vegetables, a hand full of rice and half a cup of refried beans. The person in my party that received the food looked at it, look up at me and said "really". Another person said "isn't that more than $20?". The person that ordered it cringed and apologized for ordering since we were paying. Another person ordered a burrito and it came all by itself on a plate. The put nothing to even make it look good. Another order was tacos and the meat was not even hot. Soft drinks came to $8 for the large and $6 for the small. Place hadn't been bad before reason why we decided to go this time, but I felt like I got robbed. Tab came to $100, when in other places that serve high quality food would charge $80 or less for the same things we ordered. The place looks nice though and the service was good. I just think those prices need to be checked or the portions need to be larger. I have been to the Mariachi Loco in Hammonton and with this kind of tab I would have fed an extra person or two.

The menu is good, with plenty of options, but we were a little disappointed as the on site menu is very different from the online menu, and we were SUPER excited to try some of the desserts we saw, NONE of which were available anymore. Also, the prices were vastly different as well; the kids quesadilla and fries was a more than reasonable $5 online, but much, much less of a deal at $10 in person. Service was fine, and we didn't have any issues. Our waitress spoke spanish completely with The Misses, so I'm not even sure if they DO speak English here. I got the al pastor tacos, which were fine, and The Misses got chicken tacos, which she said were "a little dry." She finally asked for a side of sour cream to help them go down. The little ones quesadilla and fries was fine, and actually had some good sized chicken chunks, so that wasn't bad. We used to be in this area every Wednesday, and would have definitely gone back, but now that we're not, I'm not sure that we'll make the trip back for it. If you're local, it's certainly not a bad meal.
