    Empenadas

Takeout. Restaurant appeared clean and staff were very friendly. A bit on the small side, but they take advantage of the space they're in. Empanadas - Got the Super Empanada meal with chicken, beef, and fajita empanadas and chips. Portion of chips were small, but the empanadas were cooked well. High quality beef but could have used a bit of seasoning. Chicken and fajita empanadas had plenty of flavor. Jalapeño Poppers - Cream Cheese filled. Filled with cheese, but could have been cooked a bit more. Loco Fries - Could use a bit more chorizo meat as they felt like bacon cheese fries. Chicken Enchiladas - Spicy and huge portions. A bit on the plain side outside of the spice, but goes great with the rice and beans.

Old menu vs new menu. Empanada Special has gone up FIVE DOLLARS AND FORTY NINE CENTS!!!!! The prices have shot through the roof!

Whoa. Inflation is one thing, what Amigos is doing is another. Since last visit, the prices here have SKYROCKETED! In one instance, the price between the old empanada special and the new empanada special is over FIVE DOLLARS! These aren't slight, "...due to the rising cost of goods..." increases, these are, Disney-esque, show me the money increases. To raise a menu item FIVE DOLLARS is insane. That's a FIFTY EIGHT PERCENT INCREASE!!! The food is still good, and they still give you an ample portion, but it is ABSOLUTELY no longer a bargain. Definitely going to be cutting WAY back on Amigos in light of this. Shame.

I've ordered from Amigos on more than a few occasions. The staff in Amigos is always so friendly and helpful and the wait time is never that long. The stars of the show are really the empanadas. They have all sorts of empanadas you can order including beef, beef and cheese, chicken, chicken and cheese and chicken teriyaki. I have never had a bad empanada and if you can't finish your empanadas they reheat so well for the next day (especially in an air fryer) The rice, beans, queso, guac, and chips are all great. A great local place with modestly priced food!

    Enchilada Grande

The price charged is way more than the menu online and the menu given to us in our take out bag. The chips tasted stale and the nachos amigos did not even look appealing. The guacamole was flavorless. We ordered so much food and alot of it was just wasted because of taste. We will absolutely no be returning

    Chicken instead of ordered steak

Went on Sat afternoon and ordered a Griller to go (pressed steak burrito) and received chicken instead. My child took a bite without looking and was disappointed because steak was the preference and listed in the description. Chicken wasn't even a choice! Didn't want to drive all the way back due to time restraint. This place gets a lot of our to go orders wrong (empanadas; missing sides) Get better quality control! Don't think we will be returning again.

Never seen empanada looking like this, I took a bit and spat it out instantly. Idk what this is.

This place is not what I expected it to be. The food wasn't good at all. The rice tasted like instance rice from a box, the pork was dry as ever. My burrito was filled with rice and barely any meat. No beans, no sauce and it was just so dry. The empanada is disgusting, I've never seen empanada looking like that before. It was just so gross. Im only mad I wanted $20 for no reason but never again.

Create your own bowl with slow cooked pork ($8.75)

New local Mexi-fusion place in the Oak Valley area that has opened up next door to Vito's Pizza. The menu is posted online, and they deliver. Always a plus to find delivery that's not the usual Italian or Chinese in this part of SJ. They do seem like new business owners, so there may be some kinks to work out. I went the create-your-own route, which is perfect for the picky eaters out there. It was $8.75 for a slow cooked pork and rice bowl. I posted a pic for reference. Everything was pretty tasty. Now it did kinda leave me craving Chipotle but seriously, it was good considering Wenonah's dearth of dining options. They do burritos and bowls and quesadillas etc. The entrees look intriguing and I'll definitely be ordering the chicken dinner for 4 at only 20 bucks sometime. All told, this is a great addition to the area & it's actually really easy to get to on your way from Shoprite. Check it out & show the local business some love! I would like to add that I would NOT trust reviewers who almost exclusively post 1 or 2 star reviews.

    Chicken Fajita Quesadilla

Couldn't decide on lunch so my boss and I picked to grab some food here. The chicken fajita quesadilla was flavorful, juicy and went awesome with their beans & rice! Definitely recommend visiting!

This is not even close to being authentic Mexican. It's about as plain and Americanized as it can get. Not worth it.

We were promptly seated to our table. We were greeted by Salina, who was our waitress and she asked us if we were ready to order drinks or an appetizer. In addition to cold water in 1 L bottles on the table they offer aqua Fresca, which is various flavored water with fresh cut fruit in it and also many different flavored smoothies. The aqua Fresca and the smoothies are delicious We started out with chips and guacamole which was excellent! The entrées we ordered were sizzling hot plate of chicken Fajitas, Chicken burrito, Vegetable burrito, a Chimichanga, a Mexican pizza that had refried beans spread over the base with fresh cut vegetables on top and sour cream. My granddaughter just got nachos with cheese on them. My grandson got chicken fingers with fries. Everybody was happy with their meal. The ambience was light and colorful to be accompanied by joyful Mexican music. Looking forward to going back and trying something I've never had before.

The food was still good but even before a server arrived to wait on me, I noticed that chips and salsa were $10. TEN FRIGGIN DOLLARS for something that 99% of Mexican/ American restaurants offer for free. yes, I know the cost of doing business in a restaurant has gone up but a small bowl of chips and salsa is an expectation. you can always charge for extras. Like many restaurants, costs have increased which means the price of food for consumers has gone up. Sticker shock struck me up. and down the menu. I remembered great soups so I ordered the Tortilla Soup. For $8 I was served a bowl of broth with some cheese and avocado with tortilla chip strips. Tasty? Yes but $8 definitely not (No protein, no veggies ... broth.). Been hungry for gorditas... and I was not disappointed with my entree, which was served with two small ramekins of salsa (red and green). I enjoyed the salsa verde so I asked if I could have a little more never expecting that the extra salsa verde would be an up charge on my bill. I don't think I have ever been charged for extra hot sauce ever! They were busy ... Cinco de Mayo... service was good ... no music but I was outside watching the cars drive by. Next time I am hungering for Mexican I will just drive by because there are many other options that still put out a basket of chips and salsa and don't charge for extra hot sauce Oh ... the SEVEN DOLLAR Horchata offered a few good sips but I noticed that the glass had a very watery appearance after only a quarter of the drink was consumed and it tasted it too ... $7.

However, the portions were very limited in comparison to the price. I think they are getting a little greedy with pricing and portions. One person in my party ordered the mixed fajitas and it's was more than $20 for about a 6oz a chopped meats with vegetables, a hand full of rice and half a cup of refried beans. The person in my party that received the food looked at it, look up at me and said "really". Another person said "isn't that more than $20?". The person that ordered it cringed and apologized for ordering since we were paying. Another person ordered a burrito and it came all by itself on a plate. The put nothing to even make it look good. Another order was tacos and the meat was not even hot. Soft drinks came to $8 for the large and $6 for the small. Place hadn't been bad before reason why we decided to go this time, but I felt like I got robbed. Tab came to $100, when in other places that serve high quality food would charge $80 or less for the same things we ordered. The place looks nice though and the service was good. I just think those prices need to be checked or the portions need to be larger. I have been to the Mariachi Loco in Hammonton and with this kind of tab I would have fed an extra person or two.
