Now back to the food, the chorizo taco is now a must, I want to say I've visited Tacoria at least 4x now rotating the different taco proteins and chorizo is confirmed my favorite. Pastor is good, carne is good, and the pollo is good but that chorizo is the taco for them. The elote is juicy on the cob covered in sauce and cheese. Tacoria never disappoints. Loved the Smoky grilled flavor of the meats. Every bite was a burst full of flavor. Next time I'd omit the crema in the bowl. Enjoyed the guava basil fresca- I added water to it so it was less sweet. Loved that we can try all the different variety of hot sauces. The verde was probably my favorite. Went to a Yelp Burritos and Badges event today with my wife. We both were able to get an entree, side and drink. My wife got chorizo tacos and pico de gallo with chips. Had a taste for tacos yesterday and had missed a few "Taco Tuesdays" lately, so I wanted to try a spot I had been "eyeing" for a while. I popped into Tacoria and was greeted by a young man who handed me a menu and explained that I could have a sit while I decided what I wanted to order. I sat at a picnic style table in the back and looked over the menu. Tacoria offered the standard choices, tacos (chicken, beef, pork, etc). But the burrito bowl caught my eye. So much for tacos, huh?! Lol! I ordered the burrito bowl with chorizo and chicken tacos for my partner with Mexican corn. The wait was short, I was happy since I was starving. Upon diving into my bowl, I loved all the flavors and how they came together. The bowl was completely filled with everything. The chorizo was flavorful, rice tender, beans, crema, and salsa all paired perfectly with the cheese too. I tried to eat most of my bowl, but got pretty full fast. My partner scarfed up his three tacos and said they were good. The Mexican corn was a little hard for my liking, but the flavors were still present. Tacoria is a solid spot and I will stop in again. This place is beyond delicious. They're in a fantastic location too because you put your order in, hop over to Trader Joe's for a grocery run and when you're done the food is ready. Since I went to the Yelp Elite Event and got to try out a few of the meat selections i already knew which was my favorite. This time around I got the Pollo asado Quesadilla, mexican street corn and the Nutella nachos. Everything was just so flavorful. Absolutely did that happy shuffle people do when they're eating, you know what I mean. And I hate eating corn on the cob. My fiance and I visited the Tacoria location in Marlton, NJ yesterday. We ordered an Al Pastor Burrito, and an Al Pastor Burrito Box with cilantro and onions. We also ordered chips and guacamole and Mexican street corn. I ordered the burrito, so this will be just about the burrito and the sides. The Al pastor burrito was delicious. It had seasoned rice, black beans, Al pastor, grilled onions and cheese. I opted out of the crema. The burrito was full of flavor, and very densely packed. The burrito was grilled slightly on the flat top and it gave a nice sear to the burrito tortilla. The chips and guacamole was ok. Guacamole tasted fresh, and the chips were nice and crunchy. Really complemented the guacomole well. In addition, the restaurant has difference sauces you can try. I opted to try the verde, smoky salsa and habernero. Loooooved my visit at Tacoria! The setup gives "fast food" and technically it IS but the food is tasty and fresh. The atmosphere is a tad bit on the small side with long tables and some smaller tables for folks who want more privacy. You can order your food on your own or you could walk up to a cashier. Tacoria is new addition to the fast casual scene in Marlton. It is located in the closed Gap store directly across from Trader Joe's. The dining area is very cool, pleasant and has a really good Latin Vibe. It could be described as Latin Shabby Chic. The menu is a really good size, not too big or small, and customers can order from the kiosk or from the counter. It is reminiscent of Chipotle, etc. in choosing the dish and proteins. We ordered the Quesadilla Suiza with Pollo Asado and En-Salad-A and Al Pastor. Both dishes had really good flavors and tasted extremely fresh. The staff was also extremely friendly and helpful. Tacoria is a fast causal order-at-the-counter type restaurant, though this should not be confused with say Chipotle's or Qdoba's model where you walk with your food as they build it down the line. Here, they cook everything in the back in the kitchen. So with a fresh-to-cook option, surely they're better right? I'm sorry Yelp: I don't get the hype. From the burritos to the bowls, it all feels one note: Rice, Cheese, a Cream of some sort, and Meat. Yes, they have a salsa bar where you can add salsa (which does a lot of damage control) but I don't think Tacoria encapsulates the spectrum of Mexican flavors nearly as well as it could. Granted, I don't think Chipotle or Qdoba quite do that either, but at least at both of those places, there's more heavy lifting done with say Cilantro, some notes of Cumin, etc. Maybe my taste buds are defective, maybe it's the location, maybe I got the wrong items, maybe I got unlucky in the two times I came there, but it felt like Tacoria was really banking on their dairy products to bring all the flavor because that's all I tasted. All I tasted was cheese, cream, and more cheese. I don't think it's the staff's fault, it probably is my fault, but it's not for me -- sorry. But anyway, this is the part of the review nobody ever expects or cares about except for me: - Water: There is a self-serve soda machine with water - Restrooms: There are two single occupancy restrooms - Accessibility: So yes, it's wheelchair accessible. But let's talk about their floors (we're now entering the REALLY weird part of this review). The tile they have is gorgeous. It's also incredibly dangerous when it's wet outside because I'm convinced there's no anti-slip measure and the door mat is not nearly large enough for that restaurant. I was doing some Christmas returns at J Crew when my lady was like, "Look a taco spot!" After I did my returns, while walking towards the entrance I can hear Bad bunny playing. On the left of the entrance there is the food order counter. I didn't get his name but the gentleman with the beard was very friendly and helpful. We placed our order and was given a pager. The sitting area is small, and the restaurant was packed. Thank G-d someone was getting up, allowing us to sit and eat. Sitting down waiting for my food. I walked in on a Monday morning before going to Trader Joe's (never shop on an empty stomach :-)). The staff asked how they could help me, and since I hadn't been there before, I needed help. I ordered the chips, Guac, the Burrito Bowl with carne asada and brown rice, and a drink. Unfortunately, many drinks were unavailable on the soda machine, but they had some fresh lemonade, which was good. I took my food to go, and it stayed hot due to excellent packaging until I got home. I really wanted to love Tacoria. When I came in to order, I was met with standoffish service. I mentioned that I had never been there and the employee taking my order didn't help in recommending anything on the menu. Quite frankly, it felt like I was bothering him. I kindly asked a few questions about the items and his responses were curt. The food came out quickly, looked and tasted very fresh and flavorful. The usual suspects were holding up the counters again, and looking disgruntled when customers came in. Tables are always gross and the garbage overflowing. The last time we walked in, because we were next-door shopping, the music was not loud but blasting. No one was in the store and when we walked in, they couldn't care less and did not make an attempt to turn down their party. New taco joint in Marlton next to Trader Joe's. You order at a kiosk screen or with a human and soon your food pops up at the window. You can pay with Apple Pay and all the other typical forms of payment. You can dine in or take out. There is a little teeny window sill counter that has napkins, plastic ware and four squeeze bottles of various salsa you can squirt into little soufflé cups. The menu is simple, straightforward and just the right size. I tried the Al pastor taco (the better of the two) and the carne asada taco. (Decent but not as good as Al pastor) also ordered the street corn. Both were served on corn tortillas. I thought the corn sauce smear was a bit watery and thin, and it could have used more cheese. The corn was a tad on the dry side overall not bad. I ordered my food to go, and ate it after the short drive home I would say it deserves 3.5 stars for overall good food, decent customer service, a new fresh feel and prices a tad on the high side. We have been waiting to try Tacoria and boy did it not disappoint! We were welcomed by many employees and were handed menus. We ordered on their kiosks, which was fast and efficient. There were about 8 or 9 tables inside for seating, which was plenty since people weee coming and going pretty quickly. My burrito bowl was amazing! Some of the best Mexican food I have had in Marlton! My fiancé also really enjoyed his burrito. The prices are well worth it based on the amount of food you are given. This is an update to a review of the Marlton location of Tacoria. My wife and I returned today to see if anything changed in terms of the food quality. I can say, with a resounding yes, that it definitely has improved since our last visit. We ordered a burrito bowl and a burrito. Both food items were delicious and the portion sizes were just right. This is fast casual . . . order at a kiosk or with a human, get a pager, seat yourself, pick up your food when paged, bus your own table. Restaurant was practically 100% full on a Sunday around noon and I wound up sharing a table with others . . . some tables are communal (shareable). When I'm doing all the work (seating myself, no waitstaff, bussing myself), I don't tip yet my bill was still $14.56 for a UN-filling lunch of two vegan tacos with Beyond meat -- each was $5.35 plus tax. THIS is why people think prices are terrible -- gouging the public with prices like this. Corporate greed. I also got a small plastic cup (12-16 ounces) for my choice of fountain soda or one of their three specialty beverages -- that was another $2.95. I'm attaching a photo to show the size of the diminutive tacos which I consumed in less than 5 minutes. I put my normal human-sized hand in the photo to give perspective for how small (and un-filling) they were. I saw families in there, chowing-down, and wondered how much they were spending, per person, to be full and determined that they'd be much better off at a sit-down restaurant with full-service. Menu notes: Burritos start at $10.95 and if you want a protein on it, it adds from $1.50 to $2.50 extra. So you're talking $12.50-$13.50 for 1 stinking burrito with no side. Same with Burrito Boxes, Salads, and Quesadillas. The food here is good, but the service is consistently disappointing. The staff is not friendly, and orders take over 30 minutes to arrive -- this has happened on multiple visits. During my most recent experience, my order was marked as "completed" but was never actually brought out. After waiting 30 minutes, I went to the counter to ask about it, and the employee's response was simply, "What about it?" To make matters worse, we never received the chips and guacamole we ordered. The restaurant is bright and very clean. The food came out quickly and everything was delicious. We split the chorizo burrito and each got a pulled chicken taco and chips and guac to share. All of it was phenomenal but the burrito has to be the best burrito that I have ever had. I saw some complaints here about portion sizes being stingy but I could barely finish my HALF of the burrito as it was so generously loaded. The tacos were also so packed that I could barely fold it to take a bite. The freshly made salsas that were available for free were all so different and so good! Someone even came over to us to ask how everything turned out which was really nice and to me shows they actually care and want to make a nice impression.
