I've been here multiple times. The first 3 or 4 times the prices were at the higher end of this type of food, but it was very good so I didn't mind it as much. However, the portions were very limited in comparison to the price. I think they are getting a little greedy with pricing and portions. One person in my party ordered the mixed fajitas and it's was more than $20 for about a 6oz a chopped meats with vegetables, a hand full of rice and half a cup of refried beans. The person in my party that received the food looked at it, look up at me and said "really". Another person said "isn't that more than $20?". The person that ordered it cringed and apologized for ordering since we were paying. Another person ordered a burrito and it came all by itself on a plate. The put nothing to even make it look good. Another order was tacos and the meat was not even hot. Soft drinks came to $8 for the large and $6 for the small. Place hadn't been bad before reason why we decided to go this time, but I felt like I got robbed. Tab came to $100, when in other places that serve high quality food would charge $80 or less for the same things we ordered. The place looks nice though and the service was good. I just think those prices need to be checked or the portions need to be larger. Located in a small plaza with parking up front. Came here late night around 10pm looking for Mexican food in the area which there was a couple options around but a bit skeptical as I have specific things I look for . The menu had its classics and they served aqua frescas so decided to come here and it was a plus when I called to check the hours and they picked up in Spanish LOL . Was seated and brought chips and salsa , salsa was tasty and fresh. You have to ask for their menu with prices because at first I was handed a menu without prices. Decided to go with the Birria plate and my bf went with the quesadilla Carne asada. It seems their birria is popular because I heard a couple other people order it as well . Birria was good , shredded down nicely and was moist , have to say i found the portions small . My bf absolutely loved his quesadilla, he even more loved the consome (broth) they came with my Birria dish . It's a side of flavored broth that you can dip your taco or meat in. My bf used it for his quesadilla lol . The horchata was super tasty and fresh . Restaurant is a able to host big groups as a group of 8 came while we were dining , large to fit many people as well . I had been wanting to check out this Mexican spot for a while, as I heard it was one of the best around South Jersey. I can now confirm that to be true. My mom, my friend, and I stopped in for dinner during Glassboro Restaurant Week in March. We had a wide range of food items, from guac and chips, quesadillas (birria and carnitas), cactus, and tres leches cake. My mom was extremely persnickety to start, but by the end of the meal she couldn't claim to "not like Mexican food" anymore. Still to this day, she wants to go back for a carnitas quesadilla, so I'm sure we'll be back sometime soon. Service was prompt and friendly. Ambiance was no-frills. read more

Best Tinga tacos around! I always get them so I can't speak for anything else on the menu, but these are definitely worth the visit.

Brought Mom for dinner. It's a colorful dining room. She loved the paintings on the tables and chairs. We both enjoyed our food. We had lots of leftovers, which Mom enjoyed. Portions are generous. She liked the quesabirria tacos. So did I. I ordered a huarache with steak and cactus. It was pretty good! It was also delicious for lunch the next day. Went to El Mariachi and Delsea Drive in Glassboro, NJ. The waiter gave us a bowl of freshly made chips and two types of salsa (red and green with a hint of heat). The service was excellent! We ordered for appetizers queso fundito which was very good and tasty. You have a choice of flour or corn tortillas. For our entree we ordered the birria tacos, slow cooked shredded beef with melted cheese filled with of cilantro and onions. Very good and tasty as well. El Mariachi is nestled in a small strip mall near Rowan University off Delsea Drive. I must admit I have never set food inside the actual restaurant, but I have ordered takeout numerous times. Their quesabirria is so good and only loses half a star because the consommé could use a bit more flavor. The rice is light and not salty at all so it pairs well with heavier items, like birria. My husband got a burrito which was the size of a small child and delicious too. All in all it's a great local spot to call when you're craving Mexican. read more

What a cute little hole in the wall place, well a strip mall. We were greeted and told to pick a seat. A nice waitress grabbed water for us and brought out chips & salsa. We ordered amazing guacamole for the table. I could have eaten it by the spoonful sans chips. I had the carne asada with Mexican sausage, peppers and onions, plus this amazing cheese on top. Came here for an early dinner and they did not disappoint. After about 20 minutes or so, several other parties came in, clearly a popular choice for dinner. Saw many people come for take out as well. Ambiance is on point and decor is beautiful! All dishes were absolutely amazing. I think I might have a new favorite Mexican spot. The Al pastor tacos and enchiladas with carne asada were incredible. Seriously may be the best tacos I have had in long time! The succulent flavors of the pork with the grilled pieces of pineapple were so complementary- my taste buds were in heaven! The carne asada inside the enchiladas (with red sauce) was a really great choice. Both meats (pork and carne asada) were cooked to perfection and had tons of flavor. Everything was served fresh and straight from the kitchen!! The home made salsa (both green and red) were so yummy with chips. My fav was the green salsa, it had a great kick to it. I happened to be In town on business and came across this gem. I parked up and sat on my phone for awhile and seen a lot of foot traffic so I knew this place had to be great. I ordered over the phone to go due to covid 19 no seats inside. The wait was about 15 mins. I ordered a shrimp chimichanga. It was spectacular! So much flavor. I was debating if I made the right choice choosing shrimp. But it turned out great. Big juicy shrimp to compliment the rice seasoned well as well as the beans and sauce on the chimichanga. we ordered to go and the food was really solid. i had chilaquiles (with no meat) my fiancée had chicken enchiladas and we were both satisfied. we also shared an order of guacamole and chips, they were good as well. if it wasn't $55 for 2 entres and an appetizer i would have given them 5* but it was more expensive than it realistically should have been. i can't justify coming back when there's just as good if not better mexican food closer to me for a more reasonable price, but trust the food is really good. read more
