Crew called 30 minuets ahead to let me know they are on schedule and would arrive as promised. They found a birds nest in the vent access and checked that it was abandoned before removing. They were very thorough and very conscious about keeping the laundry room and outside clean. They told me what I need to do to prevent new birds nests. The "Lint Mob" came one day after I requested service. They were running about 15 minutes late but called to let me know. Pulled out half a wet-dry vacuum of lint. This is after I attempted to clean it regularly with our gas leaf blower... Jeans and terry towels were taking 1.5 hours to dry with our electric dryer before; huge electric bill. Great Service! I called a little after 9 a.m., and they were at my house at noon. Fred and Mary cleaned the entire duct system and the dryer. Because of the tight space I was worried that moving the washer and dryer would be near impossible, and I'd end up with scratches and dents on the woodwork and units. But Fred was expert at moving them, Mary cleaned behind the units, and everything went back together in a jiffy---not a mark on anything. On the day of the appointment, the technicians (Fred and Kai) called to confirm their arrival time which was appreciated. The actual job became more complicated as they had to go into the crawl space to clear the pipe. I ended up paying a bit extra but at the end, problem fixed. The service itself was OK. As a matter of fact, it was a lot faster than I expected. The whole process took about 10 minutes to finish, and I was relieved that my dryer had not been and would not be for a long while a fire hazard. However, $220?? Nice job cleaning out our very long dryer vent that goes 2/3 the width of the house. As it had been a while (9 years), they needed to use both the shop vac from one direction and a rooter tool from the other to get all the lint out...and this was after I had already used a leaf blower to attempt to clear it. The only reason they didn't get a 5-star rating is that it would have been nice had they scooped up and disposed of the rooted out lint that ended up on the ground outside the vent. No big deal, but would have been worth another star. read more
