Pleas don't use this company. We used them twice and each them they did a bad job and left without completing the work thoroughly. The dryer had error codes after their service. The first dryer we called them for cleaning and the vents were not cleaned at all. Their work caused an error on the dryer and we had to call them again to clean the vents again as they not done it properly first time round. The second time for another dryer in another property they left the exhaust pipe not fitted properly to the wall vent. They caused a malfunction on my second dryer and it stopped working . We asked for a refund and they came up with excuses. Please avoid at all costs. They are even priced higher. read more

If you live in the tri-valley area of Northern California, there is a high chance that you have encountered pigeon problems. Pigeons love the modern design features of our home. It basically gives them a lot of nesting options. I have lived in the Dublin Ranch area for 7 years. I am the original owner of my home. Over the years, I have heard pigeons on my roof. We have a window ledge over our front door, and pigeon poop has accumulated there as well. To be safe, we decided we should get a few quotes on pigeon cleaning so that we could ensure our rain gutters weren't too badly clogged with pigeon poop. Our neighbors had such a serious issue that it actually caused leaks in their home. I was shocked by the service I received from different companies. Many refused to drive to my home to do the assessment without charging an estimate fee, and others took pictures of the house but never looked on the roof and gave outrageous quotes. Luckily, I asked a local realtor for a reference and he recommended DGC Services to me. Doug the owner of the company was great. As soon as I called him, we set up an appointment, and he showed up right on time. He immediately went on top of the roof and told me what he saw, and took pictures so that I could see as well. I was shocked to learn that I had a dead rotting pigeon corpse and weeds growing on the roof from about 50 pounds of pigeon poop. Doug was the one who gave the most accurate assessment of the issue, and his quote was also the most reasonable. Out of the 5 quotes that I received, Doug's quote was less than what others had quoted because he only focused on what I needed not try to pressure me into paying more for areas I didn't have problems with. Doug also mentioned that his crew scoops and bags the poop up. They don't just spray it with water so that it gets all over the place and clogs up the rain gutters. Doug's team showed up a few days prior to their appointment because they were courteous enough to pay attention to the rainy weather and didn't want my house to suffer from a leaky roof due to the pigeon droppings. They finished on time as scheduled and finished within the time period he had estimated. I cannot emphasize enough how pleased we were with his work. He also took pictures of the roof after his work so we could clearly see the results from before and after. I would highly recommend Doug based on his rates, professionalism, and results. read more

I scheduled DGC team to clean my gutters which to my surprise means they get on my roof with a leaf blower and blow the gutter contents all over my house, cars, driveway, windows etc. I've never seen gutters cleaned with less effort. I suspect the drain downspouts are still clogged. I caught one guy who was about to use my solar panel as a brace to put the ladder against to climb up onto my roof. I contacted Doug as he was referred by a phenomenal HVAC company called ASAP Heating and AC. Doug responded immediately, scheduled my vent cleaning, and fortunately was even able to move my appointment up during a holiday weekend due to a client rescheduling. The technicians Fred and Jimmy arrived on time and ready to start. Their work was outstanding. They first evaluated the environment to see where vents were located and then got started. What I really liked was when they found some very serious repairs that needed to be made, they were able to show me exactly what was wrong so that I was able to contact a company to repair the problems. This started with an estimate from COIT when the technician came to clean our carpets. Unfortunately I still have the same problem I had before I contracted them. This may be partly or solely my own fault, so this review is not a slam on this company, who were excellent at cleaning my gutters. But if you have rainwater overflowing your gutter and are not sure it is due to a dirty gutter, you probably want to contract someone else. I am a homeowner, inexpert on roofing/gutter issues. A year ago, when I saw a gutter overflow on low end of roof, I climbed a ladder, found a tennis ball blocking the downspot and ended my first gutter problem. When I saw rainwater overflowing the other side of the house (very high 2nd story with limited ladder access) I figured it was also a clogged downspout but I could not get to it and needed a professional. Based on excellent Yelp reviews, I contacted DCG. Their price was competitive with another quote I received for gutter cleaning and I hired them. The appointment was right away, they arrived on time, cleared a lot of soil-like content from the gutters and I paid what they had quoted. The person on the phone and the two men who did the work were excellent and friendly. But as they were leaving I asked, "So you found the clog that was causing the overflow?". He replied, "No, that was not a clog. The gutter is not tilted correctly, you need to (get a contractor) to put a shim on it so that it will tilt toward the downspout. I cleared the water out but the next rain it will just fill up again." I am frustrated because I now have clean gutters, have given up some precious dollars, but still have the same problem I had. When I first called, I explained the water was overflowing and I assumed they were clogged. Had I been told then it may be a "tilt" problem (which I now gather is common), I would have used a contractor that is able to also do the "shim". I contacted DCG afterward and they said they only clean them and do not do such work as "shim". So while it is probably my fault for not understanding potential causes of overflowing gutter and not asking the right questions, to earn a high Yelp review a contractor should know more than I do about their focus area and acknowledge that cleaning may not solve an overflow problem. If you know what you need is a gutter cleaning, I'd give these guys 4-5 stars. But if you are not sure why you have overflow, I would contact a firm that can solve it by cleaning or shim, as they find necessary. read more

I recently had DGC team perform a few services in my house. They installed wire-mesh around the solar panel since I had a pigeon problem. They also cleaned the gutters, AC/Heater vents and Dryer vent. First off, the scheduling was very quick. I worked with Dennis and he got the required information from me over the phone and provided a quote shortly. I have Tesla Solar panels and I was not sure if pigeons could nest under it but when the DGC team came over, they found a nest and 3 stubborn pigeons not wanting to leave. They somehow coerced the pigeons, put wire meshing around the panels, and cleaned the gutters while they were on the roof. They did a good job of cleaning the air vents and dry vents ensuring that they cleaned up any of the paint chips that fell when the ducts were opened. One thing to note is that DGC had initially recommended putting spikes on the roof but advised against it after assessing the situation. While I am sure the pigeons cannot nest below the Solar panels anymore, I still see them on the roof. The good news is that DGC has agreed to install the spikes if the pigeons continue to stay. Hired them to come out and clean out our dryer as our dryer had started taking excessively long to dry clothes. They cleaned it out and our dryer worked like new. A couple months later, we started having the same issue and decided to replace our aging dryer with a new one, thinking that was the only issue. The new dryer was installed and we were still having trouble drying a single load of clothes in under five or six hours. Call DGC services back out and they confirmed that that was way too quick for lint to have built up again to be causing the issue. But, they took a look around and found the issue was with moisture being "locked" inside our duct because the venting on the outside of the house was not installed properly. Pigeons are a serious health hazard and can do real damage to your house. At our prior residence we had serious pigeon problems and we spent a large sum of money to clean and pigeon proof (largely thru use of hot foot glue) . After we moved we initially were glad that the design of the house made it less prone to pigeon problems ;however, after installation of solar panels they found a place to live. Doug came out and offered a custom application and the pigeons disappeared quickly before any real damage.
