I'm unsure if I ever went to a Dollar General store. I'm sure I have at one point and if so, it hasn't been for many years. I wanted to see what this store had to offer and check out their prices, so I went to this location on a Saturday in early October. I like them better than Dollar Tree and Family Dollar because they have a lot more name brand food items plus a variety of paper towel and toilet tissue brands. Their prices aren't any cheaper than the other dollar stores though. My husband did like that he saw two food products that he likes that he hasn't seen in years, so this place has them! read more

This store literally is horrible I been here twice once was during Christmas and my first time and it was so crazy and a mess but I thought it's Christmas so I gave it the benefit of the doubt being the holiday. The workers are so rude and managers are oh my goddess ghetto from head to toe! Believe me I'm not one to Judge tattoos on there face wearing trashy street clothes looked CV like they came off the streets just horrible... Second time was today I went because storage crates we're supposed to be on sale for half off that's a great deal! Well turns out there trying to charge them regular price for $11 and half off would be $5.50 first of all the ones at target are regularly $5.50 and are better quality they hike up the price and act like there giving you a deal We asked for the manager Louis came and he was beyond rude looked down on use like we where beneath him and basically was like to bad! Dollar General came in clutch for my wedding centerpieces. I've been looking for 9" cylinder glass vases everywhere and they were hiding at DG for $3 each the whole time! This store has a lot of everything. Even if you don't need something, it's here. It may not be too quality, but it gets the job done. This location sits in a run-down shopping center but is still promising. They are open late (at least 10 p.m.) and the employees are always friendly. Don't be fooled though. "Dollar" General is a very loose title. Most of their items are way more than a single dollar and the price tag in this store can add up quickly. read more

Always trying to make you use self check out and get upset when you won't every time. Cram so much stuff in bags like the cashier is paying for them theirselves that you can barely lift them and hope they don't break. Only good thing is they have a lot of things big stores have and 99 doesn't so you don't have to go into big store. read more

Called the store prior to coming. Asked if they have empty spray bottles and she asked me to wait a couple minutes. I waited over 20 minutes as I was already on my way to the store and I honestly had my headphones on while driving and forgot the call was still on hold until I got to their parking lot. And sure enough no spray bottles and they weren't busy. One employee was organizing the front. Reason why I don't go to dollar general. Poor customer service. read more

The employees need to step it up and get the lines moving quicker. I came in for a monster energy drink and had to wait 30 minutes till it was my turn to pay. The line was so long with only 1 cashier who was working pretty slow. I did like the prices on the monster energy drinks, they got one of the lowest prices for monsters in the area. read more

They refused to admit the 15% off Lowe gift card discount although is it printed on the weekly ads. The manager said they can't sell then ask me where I find it and hide all the rest gift card. The reason they said is their big boss doesn't want to sell this. read more

Great store that has everything you need. Low prices on everything from food to high gene accessories. Baking goods & beer and wine. Very clean and staff very friendly and nice. This is my go to store for now on. read more

On Wednesday March 28, 2018 at approximately 2:00pm, my mother in law got her purse searched by 2 female dollar general employees without being notified of why they were searching her purse. These 2 employees made her put her purse on the cash register, checked the inside of her purse, when they found nothing stolen, they walked away without giving an explanation why they conducted the search. Unfortunately, my mother in law did not grab the employees names or positions as they did not introduced themselves at any point during the search. Due to being highly embarrass as other customers were watching her bag being searched and the language barrier (my mother in law only speaks Spanish) my mother in law was not able to asked these 2 employees why were they searching her purse. My entire family had been a long time customer of this store and due to this lack of professionalism and customer service, we will no longer shop on this store. I find that the organization of some of the items on the shelves to be confusing. Placed in different areas. Not to mention the height of the shelves are a little high. A good example for shelf height would be the 99 only cent store. They lowered it for easy access for everyone. Not great for people in wheelchairs with shelves so high. I also found that there were expired stuff and damaged food items still sitting on the shelves. An item I was getting nearly had 7 items that expired in April 2018, and almost July now. Aside from that, prices could always be better. One dollar items are better buys. read more

The website says the store is open till 11:00pm. Went to the store at 10:pm on a Friday night and it was closed, yet the sign outside the window right by the closed door said open till 11:00pm. All lights were on and no one in site! read more

I would give this store a negative but since there isn't that option they'll get one star. Here's the thing.... I went last week for the FIRST time as I walked in I was impressed at how clean and fully stocked the store was. I even found some good deals especially since im a couponer and they accept coupons. I found almost everything I wanted with exception to two things and I decided to get in line to pay and ask...well let me tell you this is probably the worst customer service I have EVER encountered not only was this asian "lady" Rude but she was unfriendly and entitled as if she worked at a high end freaking store like Saks or Nordstroms. UHM! Im sorry sweetheart NO! I tried to be patient as I saw this "Lady" was pregnant. Figured, maybe a long day....psssh no! Im sorry pregnant or not that gives no one the right to be rude or loud. With her "NO MA'AM!" In a monotone voice, you can use ma'am all you want it still wont make you polite. So anyways I used One coupon to not even make a fuss and left. Later I saw they had a deal on tresseme hairspray that was a penny...yes a penny! I confirmed by calling MANY D.G Stores in the area but many had already sold out so I made sure to ask the kind and luckily when I went by again they were in stock however I tried to get 3 different kinds and have the priced checked I got in line in a different lane so I wouldn't be checked my miss grumpy and here we go AGAIN! UN-FREAKING believable....Does everyone at this store have attitude problems? Guess so...now its a little white girl with red-ish short hair. I ask politely "if she can ring up the cans, and she rings up one and says its 4 dollars. I explained ti her that I called several stores and she said "no, we dont have those" I asked if she can scan the others she avoided the question by saying none we that price and put the basket down, she mentioned they were "discontinued" bottles of hairspray and that was it, also in this smart ass tone. I mean seriously? Frusterated I said thank you and I walked out. I live near by and ill make sure to let corporate know about these individuals and this store... First & last time in this store. Without coming off as judgmental because hey I love a great deal just like the next person...But Dollar General doesn't really have the best reputation and now I know why. After checking out I put in my phone number to take off about $5 worth of discounts and a $5 off $25 total purchase coupon and the system was not applying it. Cashier called manager GLEN who asked me a MILLION questions such as "What items are you trying to use a Coupon for". "What coupons are not applying". "What did you hand to the cashier" "What items are in your cart". I had already explained ALL of this to him when he first came up to me and even handed him my phone to see for himself. After being bombarded with repetitive questions I just told him to void the whole thing. He didn't even say sorry, let me help you, just give me a moment...Nothing. He literally ignored me and just walked away. How rude can you be? Not only that but the cashiers would yell for him from the front of the store when he was all the way in the back. We love this place :-) they have everything we need except produce. We are regulars here and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I would say at least half or more of the things we bye we get here; That includes food and beverages household items and even clothing. I had the worst expirience of My life yesterday, their employee's are very rude and disrespectful from manager to cashiers, first I try to use a coupon for some shampoo they didn't take it because it ecided the value of the product, witch I when to couple of her other stores and they took it with no problems, when I ask the cashier (her name is Olivia)to call the manager she told me that the manager wasen't available, so I ask ok who is in charge and she said she was, so she hot in the phone with the manager Juan she went into the office to talk to him so she just came out and said, well if it doesn't scan we can take it but she don't even scan it, I ask her how long your manager Juan is taking so she said I don't know if you wanna wait for him,so at the point I was irritated because it was 3 cashier just standing around us gossiping, it was a huge line, they had some stuff I bough at half off and their prices weren't scanning, so the cashier( I didn't got her name but she was AA) didn't want to help us anymore because she has to keep on calling Olivia to change the prices,so it took us forever to check out because it seems they don't know what spevial they have in their store so they have to live the register to go n check, so finally the AA cashier when to another register to help with the line, when Olivia when near her register for something the cashier ask her do they finally leave, referring to me and my Mother, I feel offende and disrespected because it's not my fault that their prices weren't scanning and that their cashier don't know their sales, it took me like almost an hour to check out because for every single item on sale they went to check, so finally the manager Juan came I talk to him but he act like he didn't care he don't even apologized, plus he said he got the other from other manager to not take the coupon so they didn't take my coupon. read more
