We bought a couch from Bassett just a few months ago and it was supposed to have this superior fabric that was stain resistant and easy to clean if there was a spill. However a few months in and there's so many random water rings and dirt stains on our couch. So I looked into getting them steam cleaned and treated with Scotch Gard. I wanted a place that would do both and bonus points if they would come to me. I texted Tim and was able to get a quote and coordinate a date for them to come out - it was so easy! And he was even able to come the next day, just before Christmas! I had called around to a few other places and DFW Steam Clean had the most competitive pricing, a few hundred for steaming and the scotch gard of a 5 piece sectional couch. The morning of the appointment, Kermit (the technician) reached out and said they could come by earlier than my time slot and get started. He arrived quickly and got began cleaning the couch. It was such a quick process - took a little over an hour total. And the couches afterwards looked bright and like brand new. There was a few places we had to go over a couple times, but Kermit was really great and patient with me. Couches took almost the rest of the day to dry. Overall I'd definitely recommend. I would not recommend this company. First let me say that Jacob is extremely nice and very professional. I like him a lot. The owner on the other hand is not great to deal with. I had my carpets cleaned and they put too much water down. Because of this it caused wicking. This is where the stains from the pad seep through to the carpet leaving it looking worse than it did when they started ( I included pictures). After I called and complained about it, they came back and did a spot clean for those areas. Again, the carpet looked great until it dried. Some spots were worse. When I reached out to the owner again, he said that the only way to fix it was to put a layer of DE (diatomaceous earth) on the carpet and let it sit for 24 hrs before removing. So if that was the solution, I was ok with that. It just needed to be fixed. The owner, Tim, stated that he would have to get me on HIS schedule and he did not know when that would be. I did not hear from him for several days. I text him and I was ignored. I finally text him and stated that if I had to go to another company to fix their mistake that I would not be happy. Again, no response. The next morning I got up and wrote a bad review on Google. Guess who called me? Yep, the owner. After talking to him for a while, we made plans for them to return and put the DE powder on the stains. This took about an hour. On top of that, I had to send my dog to my parents house so she would stay out of the powder (pics included). This morning, I spent 3 hours on my hands and knees cleaning up the DE. If you vacuum it up, it will ruin your vacuum cleaner. Because I had to basically sweep it up it caused dust everywhere. Again, I included the pics. It was a mess! Not to mention the time spent. If I wanted to spend 3 hrs on my knees cleaning my carpet, I would have done it myself and saved the cost and headache. That being said, the DE did the job and removed the stains (pics included). However, it let the carpet a little whiter in those areas, even after cleaning the light powder residue with a shop vac that I might have to replace, which will be another cost. I paid them over $200 to clean my carpet. They had to return 3 times to get it right and I will end up spending 5 hrs of my time cleaning up after them. My friend* Tim who addressed my original request was reasonable at first until he told me there was a premium for apartments and I proceeded to ask him why. I asked if the sectional that I plan to have a cleaned would be removed from the property, only to have him say no we do it on site. I then inquired about the premium for the 30 second elevator ride. He then told me that by the time they park and have to come inside it takes an hour and a half sometimes with the loading dock. I then pushed him that it was a handheld machine and I didn't understand f the need for a loading dock. It was one of the coldest day's I've experienced so far this year in the Dallas area and the customer service was still incredible (considering the fact that he needed to run things from the truck to my apartment which is halfway into the complex from the parking lot). I called this company on Tuesday morning and left a VM to have someone call me back. At 3 I had not heard back from anyone so I went on line booked an appointment and asked to be called the next day after 11am. I received an email promptly after sending my request saying they received my request and would get back with me shortly. On Wednesday morning when I checked my emails at 6am there was an email saying see you on the date reserved. So I replied to the email asking again for someone to call me that day after 11am. By 630 pm still no phone call from anyone, so I called yet again. Finally a gentleman answers the phone but he was extremely short and rude with me so I cancelled my services. I called the next place I had found they answered on my first call and we're happy to answer all my questions and book my appointment. I guess customer service is NOT THEIR FIRST PRIORITY! After posting this I received a phone call at 530 from Tim I believe he said his name was asking me to take this down or he was going to post our phone call. Was he trying to threaten me??? Go ahead I told him post it! Is this how you get your good reviews by intimidating people who make bad reviews??? I wish I were brave enough to post before and after pics.....but I would be humiliated at the befores thanks to our sneaky ass Yorkie with seperation anxiety. As his personal form of revenge for us going to work and leaving him....he has left many reminder markings that he gets "pissed" off at us. I could take NO more and it was time after using a whole gallon of Nature's Miracle Urine Gone to call for reinforcement. There was no smell as we used cleaner as soon as Royce's Revenge was spotted, but the cleaner and urine left discolored residue that just couldn't be removed. Allow me to elaborate. The setup is a breeze. I filled out a quick form on DFWSC's web site and the same day I had an appointment confirmed. The owner, Tim, was responsive to a couple of inquiries I made (timing, payment options, etc.) - you can tell client service is at the top of his list. When's the last time a carpet cleaning service went above and beyond BEFORE they even stepped foot in your home? When Tim arrived we spent the first few minutes walking through my home, explaining specific needs and discussing cleaning options. Having two chubby hounds, we had a dander issue. Tim explained the products he used to eliminate odors and enzymes were not over the counter. "They're crime scene quality products", he quipped. Yep, I want that. He gave a pre-treatment spray that was aromatic to the tenth degree. Tim's an amicable guy- he'll go into as much or as little detail as you need to tackle your stains and smells. During the visit Tim opened his van and showed me his beast-of-a-machine that does all the heavy lifting. This thing took up most of the available space in the back, looked mean as hell and Tim could not have been prouder. He explained that the water passing through this monster would heat to nearly 300 degrees (!) and stay there throughout the cleaning process. This heat would blast away the pet danders, oils, dirt, enzymes and just about any microbe that threatened the cleanliness of your floors. It was impressive, and the end result of my floors was even more satisfying. Gone was the smell, the dirt and grime, all of it. I actually had one-color carpet! Tim was awesome to clean a small hallway leading to the master bedroom free of charge. The price was extremely reasonable - around $200 for 5 large areas and 3 rooms of pet treatment. It's highly competitive and the quality of service is head and shoulders above the rest. Do yourself a favor and book an appointment with DFWSC. I had the WORST experience with another local company (Kiwi) this morning and called DFW steam cleaning in tears because I was certain my microfiber and leather couch were completely ruined. DFW steam cleaning sent Kermit out to help me--he is amazingly kind, was compassionate about my situation, and, best of all, knowledgeable and hella good at what he does.
