I'm posting this on yelp again. DFW driving school-plano are professional gaslighters and the store owner made an untrue claim about me on Google Reviews saying I made a "critical error" and there was an pedestrian "crossing the road" on the road and I failed to yield. That was a blantant lie and there was no pedestrian "entering the road" when I was driving. If so, I would like you to show me proof from instructor or a video from him claiming that I failed to yield that day, or I can reveal more evidence to prove that it's an untrue statement. The reply comment was made based on lies instead of the truth, and I want people to know the truth. That is not a light statement to make, and if you made up such a lie for a 1-star google reviews, it really says a lot more about you than about me. This shows you are an unhonest business, and it severely damages your credibility in testing. The fact that you, as an DMV authroized testing agency, lied about my testing records in the public platform just to discredit me and my comment is infuriating. The thing is, I even got a compliment from the instructor saying I have a good driving skill. Most of the points are deducted on observation even if I was LOOKING. There was no pedestrian "crossing the road" when I was driving in the neighborhood. Tariq mainly explained to me about the part I didn't do well is observation. He never mentioned anything related to "didn't yield to pedestrians". Please explain to me where does that statement come from because y'all shouldn't been lying about things that didn't happen. Second off, it's unethical to publish the record of your customers when they have not consented to it. I have never consented you to reveal my full legal name nor my testing record to the public. Revealing your client's information which should be kept private, just to win the google reviews as argument is unethical and I have taken proper action to defend my rights. Third, there was an error in grading, my instructor Tariq marked "dangerous act as circled " but never explained it to me, then I waited 1.5 hour in there just to ask him again and again, then he quickly crossed it off and said it was an error in grading. I have no idea why he circled it in the first place when I have not done anything that would result in this remark. When I corrected him, he only crossed it off on my copy, and I suspect this was never updated in their official record, thus they made this false accusation against me because of the grading error. Last, the driving school manager was making fun of me when I was really stressed in the place. He was laughing at me for my frustration about the results. He suggested that i should punch or harm other people as a vent of my frustrations. He laughed at me, ridiculed me, mocked me, made me feel shameful in front of other testers. I don't think that's how you should treat your clients. They clearly lack a professional attitude when dealing with their customers. I would strongly recommend not going to this place for driving school. As a matter of fact, I have taken proper action to report your horrible customer service to related authority at DPS and officially filed a complaint about this issue. The worst communication! Nothing is explicitly told up front and you must read the fine print. You can not get your license for 4 weeks after your test and no one tells you that. They will charge you additional fees the car rental and if you go past 6 months in the school and no one will tell you this until they charge you. Disorganized and completely unhelpful. read more

Steer clear, unless you want to pay for services not rendered. I paid $330 for in class and behind the wheel instruction. When it came time to do the behind the wheel portion, they had no availability. We tried for 6 months to get on the calendar, even jumped online the moment the calendar was released, and it was full. Forced to switch to parent taught, which meant I had to pay AGAIN for a separate parent taught course with another provider so that I could obtain a new certificate. Getting switched to parent taught: a NIGHTMARE. The school ignored me for months. After months of calls and emails, they finally switched it to parent taught. Never offered a single reimbursement for services they failed to deliver on. Also, while she was in the classroom, the instructor let the kids out before the scheduled release (after dark) and left my daughter alone in the parking lot waiting for me. I think it is important for everyone to know that our experience with DFW Driving school was not good. 1) Account setup was poorly managed, and remote access did not work for the first three weeks which delayed my son from obtaining his driver's license. 2) The driving time was hard to book. You had to set a reminder to jump on quickly when new slots opened because they filled up quickly. 3) Some of the instructors were rude and unkind. 4) Front desk does not open until 3pm so it was hard to get in touch with them because you could not call first thing in the morning, you had to remember to set up (another) reminder to call them with questions. 5) I was told someone would call me back when they did not know the answer to a question and they never called me back. On a positive note, my son did pass his driving test with them on the first try. It was more convenient than registering with the DMV in Texas because the wait list is so long, they had plenty of driving test slots. read more

This place is TERRIBLE, do not go here. The driving instructor failed my daughter on her driving test because he said she did not stop far enough back. He was also rude and seemed to careless that he failed her while she was so upset. We went down the street and 30 minutes later she passed her test and the instructor said she did great. I echo many of the comments left here. Scheduling is online but you have to log on the minute the slots go live or you'll miss out. But the biggest problems are the instructors, Sam and Susan. They did not teach my daughter to drive; they were in the car with her, but fiddling with the radio, taking calls on speakerphone from their kid (who, incidentally, dropped the f-bomb to her mother), and giving little to no driving direction. Sam started inappropriate conversations with my daughter; he asked her if she had a boyfriend, told her that women belong in the kitchen and should listen to their men, and quizzed her about religion and politics. In 7 hours of driving, they never once took her out on the highway. On the day of the driving test, Susan yelled at us for a paperwork error that was her fault. They are unprofessional, rude, and inappropriate. Avoid them at all costs. read more

This place is extremely unprofessional. Once they get your money it will be impossible to schedule. They only have two instructions who are husband and wife. They are rude, disrespectful, and do not teach. The booking system is set up to only allow one booking per month, it fills up fast, licks you out, and you will not get in unless you repeatedly call. During the drive time you will get no instructions, you will not be told what to work on and you will run personal errands for the instructor. Your emails and phone calls will not be answered. If you attempt to speak to a manager they will call the police on you. I had many negative encounters with this business, the instructor Susan and her husband. I asked the receptionist for a call from management and did not receive it. Our final appointment was yesterday at 3:00 pm. I had to pull my son from school early and leave work early for this appointment. I had to do this because it was the only one available. We had been trying to schedule for over a month without success. When we show up we are told the husband has to many people, the wife is doing a test, and to come back at 5. I go in to complain and the receptionist, she tells me they took someone without an appointment and that is why there was no room. She says she told them not to do that, and they would not listen. I ask for a manager, she says she can text him, but no one usually answers her. As I wait for a response for over 30 minutes she continues to tell me how this keeps happening to other customers. I was super upset, but gave my phone number, and asked for someone to call me as I left. I sent an email when I got home explaining the situation and ask for a manager. At 4:45 my son gets a text saying to come at 7:00. I tell him to call them and ask why we were moved again. They put him on hold for 20 minutes and then only said come at 7:00. He said fine but make sure a manager is available to speak to my mom. When we arrived at 6:50 there is a man behind the counter. I tell him we are here for an appointment and ask for a manager. He says yes how can I help you. I began to explain not knowing he is the husband instructor. When I say "the instructor left with someone who didn't have an appointment", he looks at me and says "yeah so! Sometimes I do what I have to do!" In shock I responded it was disrespectful of my time and he said he didn't care about my time. I tell him to get me a manager now. He tries to explain and clearly lies about the situation. I again say get me a manger very direct and stern. A woman named Susan comes running from the back room and starts yelling saying that's her husband. I say get me a manager several times. The husband leaves for the back room, Susan follows him, locks the door, and they argue. She says I'm going to teach her a lesson and call the police. He tells her not to and to stop several times and she does not listen. I am in the lobby with 7 other people, and we hear her dial 911. She says she is in fear for her life, ask for two offers, and says I am causing a scene. This was all untrue. Everyone was in shock and people are making comments about how crazy she is. They tell me every time they are waiting there is an upset customer. One parent offers to speak to the police, when they arrive, as my witness. The husband instructor exits the locked room, takes my son and two other boys for their lesson. I sit and wait for the police. When they arrive she begins screaming about how she is in fear of her life, how I was aggressive and putting my finger in her face and upsetting the customers in the waiting area. All of this is untrue. The police speak to me, I tell my story, and ask them to speak to the witnesses. They said that because it's just a "he said she said" with no assault they don't speak to witnesses. I leave and go home. I have made a report with the BBB. I did finally get a call from the manger who apologized. He said he would speak to the staff and see what they could learn from this. He offered to give my son a free driving test on Saturday. I appreciate the call and the apology but this was handled very poorly. read more

NO ONE SHOULD USE THIS SCHOOL. The instructors do not teach driving, they just ride around with the kids. The instructor Susan talks on the phone about her daughters finances instead of teaching. The instructor Sam spends his time picking out which country western music CD he wants to listen to. They never answer their phone. After you pay, it is impossible to sign up for slots. I recommend this driving school and the instructor, Susan. She is really good. I was so nervous and afraid of driving since I met with an accident in my childhood. But Susan helped me to overcome the fear and get into the driving lessons easily. Now I like to drive and kind of feel happy to think about driving. I do not have words to praise her and the school. We scheduled a test online. Showed up, guy at the counter said it didn't go through so there was nobody to do the test for my daughter. The tester was at the Frisco location and said he'll head over. I understand these things happen, but this guy was extremely rude and just told us to "chill" and wait, then left. Front desk seemed unorganized and picking instructors was a gamble. 75% of the instructors were good, but unfortunately that 25% soured the entire experience. The instructors are late, the front desk is unorganized, and if you require a refund, you can kiss your money goodbye. My son signed up for an on-site adult drivers ed course and on the day of the class, the teacher was a no-show. When we attempted to get his money back, they said they informed everyone that the class had been cancelled (though several students showed up for the class), but my son had not received a call, text or email. We've tried on many occasions to get the refund we were promised (after proving he was not notified of the cancellation), but it was never received. They don't teach your teen to drive . The parent is responsible for 30 hours of driving instruction. The classroom instruction is about half YouTube videos. The BTW portion is only seven hours of driving. Scheduling driving time is very difficult. The schedule your life website is only available st the end of the month. I wouldn't recommend them. Awful. Don't waste your money. The student only gets eight or nine drive times for the course. And it is absolutely impossible to schedule a drive time. Their website scheduler does not work. You have to email and every time you email it takes 2 to 3 weeks to actually get the drive session. It's been impossible to schedule drive sessions for my son. Overall great experience. I have two boys who took it together so I always called to schedule drive times to make sure they could drive together. It has been really difficult for us to get our drive times (because of our crazy schedule), DFW Driving School was great, they would even call when they got an open time just Incase we could make it that night. read more

This school is all about money. The want you to keep coming and paying. when you dont do well they say to practice at home??? If we could practice at home why pay for a school. When my wife was ready we booked a test for 6:30. Paid $75, was not taken until 7:20. Examiner was trying to get as many as he could in a hour or so. We paid $30 for the use of their vehicle. When the time came, my wife was attempting parellel park. Examiner tells her dont use the curb, just get between cones? What are we then parrellel too? After a few attempts, examiner says times up???? Never informed there was a time limit????? Total time 3 minutes or $10 a minute for the use of the car????Highway robbery. Very disappointed with my sons Driving test administrator. While taking a third party road test ( $75) my sons instructor stopped in the middle of the road and quizzed my son on paperwork he brought along. He also was a big distraction as he kept talking. Then when they return, he asks me if he should fail my son. An instructor is supposed to let the student drive, and keep his notes and remarks to him/her self. Very disappointed!! read more

We scheduled online for my son to attend a class (and have subsequent driving lessons) we chose from their online schedule, one week prior to the class starting, and paid up front. When we arrived to drop him off for his first day of class, we were informed that the class was cancelled, we should have gotten a phone call? The person manning the counter then told me "I remember talking to your wife." I told him, it's ex-wife, and no you did not talk to her, because I just talked to her and she's not the type to miss major details like that. I called her, and sure enough, she'd never received a call, a voicemail, or talked to any one of them. So the man says we can choose another class, and showed me the available slots. All of them started the next day, so we'd have to arrange for a makeup day after the 3 week course was over. Unfortunately, none of the classes were at convenient times for our schedules. So my ex-wife called them in order to cancel the enrollment, on a Tuesday, and the man said she'd have her money refunded her card by end of week. End of week...nothing. End of the next week...nothing. She finally ended up calling her credit card company to have the charge reversed. All experience is, this is not a professionally run company, or one that is good at dealing with scheduling, or customer issues, or standing by their word. All of which are comments seen in other reviews here, so it appears that these folks either get everything right, or get things wrong and do little to nothing to rectify them. read more

Do not go here. Beware. The driving instructor was awful. She was asking my daughter what the names of streets are as they were driving by, then saying she is not observant and she should FAIL her. That is NOT what is suppose to happen during a drive time. She badgered her over and over to the point where my daughter was in tears. I will be reporting her to DPS! Only giving 1 star, as the schedulers at the front desk did a great job trying to work with our scheduling limitations. That's where the good news ends. My daughter failed her first driving test, which wasn't completely unexpected, and took the comments to heart and worked diligent on the areas pointed out to her. She took a second test several weeks later, was assigned a different instructor, and failed again! When the instructor told us why he failed her, the majority of the 'infractions' were the COMPLETE OPPOSITE of what the previous instructor dinged her for. When we brought this to his attention, he made all kinds of excuses for his decisions. Keep in mind, each time you (re)test, it's no cheap expense, so our conclusion is they are trying to make as much money as possible by failing students. They don't even maintain the proper parallel parking spaces for students to practice in. This place is one of the few that cater to adult drivers ed in addition to teens. As an adult without a license, I was finally able to practice driving and test with them within two days. They try to shift around their own schedules to meet yours. read more

Beware of this school, especially for third party road test, they won't follow a point system as per the DMV and simply fail multiple times with some kind of annoying reasons like example "you are not confident" or " You have to improve decision making". They want money and keep on failing, my daughter failed 2 times even though she is driving pretty good, I spend 200 dollars with them and finally we went to another school there she passed on the 1st attempt without any comments. I paid for a package of driving lessons, during the days, on weekdays. The package was to be broken down, into 6 two hour sessions each. They have not shown up for any of the lessons. When I call and complain, they make a new appointment with me, and not show up for those appointments either. It has taken me two months, just to get six hours of driving lessons from them. When they finally did show up, for the very first time, four hours late I might add, the instructor decided to quiz my daughter on the bible, to ease her nerves, and warn her, in general, about baptists! Seriously?! How weird can one person be? So to recap, every lesson that I have scheduled, has been cancelled and rescheduled. The instructor did not show up for over half of the lessons that I had scheduled. For the lessons that the instructor did show up for, she was over four hours late. Of course, payment is taken in advance! Good luck trying to get your money back. This place is a joke. Pay a bit more, and go with a school that is going to respect your time, and give your child a safe, 'normal' and enjoyable driving experience! read more
