We had an appointment scheduled at the DMV months in advance, but when we arrived, they told us we had the wrong test booked (could not change it) and would need to reschedule online -- the next available date was three months away! Thankfully, we found PDS, and Paul was absolutely fantastic to work with. He was helpful, friendly, and great with the students. We were able to get an appointment the same day, my son took his driving test, and all the documents were promptly submitted for his license. We'll definitely be back for future licenses. Let me start this review by saying I threw my hands up trying to teach my daughter to drive. The fights that ensued, the white knuckling the seat as she nonchalantly made her way through yellow lights. I couldn't do it anymore. We were referred to Prosper Driving School and I was happy to turn my 15 year old over to them. To my surprise in the 1st session she had improved. Each week she went for her class and by the end I had a confident young driver. The school is so accommodating. They had so many choices of times and days to attend. The best part for me... no more hearing MOM, stop nagging me as she was driving. Yesterday on her first try she passed her drivers test with a 96. I am so proud and most importantly I feel comfortable that she can handle herself on the roads. Prosper driving school also offered is the option for a very reasonable fee to eliminate the DMV and take the drivers test through them. Trust me on this, do it! Shane and his staff deserve the accolades I am bestowing. They get a huge thumbs up from me. read more

My daughter took her DPS Road Test and instructor Mr. Paul failed her due to his inability to instruct. He was very contradicting. During my daughter's lessons with him, he told her to be cautious and stop at red lights for 3 seconds. Also always look left and right then wait until everything in the road is clear in a four way intersection before you turn, but on her Road Test he failed her for following these instructions. He said she was "too cautious", but isn't it safer to be cautious than reckless on the road? How do you fail someone for following the instructions you instilled in students at the driving school? The instructor Mr. Paul also advised my daughter during each lesson, that he doesn't trust anybody because when he was younger, he took his road test in Hollywood and it made him paranoid of the people on the road. But this shouldn't have been a reason to fail my daughter on her Road Test due to his paranoia, and being incapable of trusting students who are trying to learn. Maybe this isn't the profession for him because that's highly unprofessional and shows low class. On the other hand, Mr. Shane was a phenomenal instructor! He really took his time to teach my daughter how to drive on the road. Mr. Shane is an expert at what he does and treats everyone around him with kindness and respect. I'm so glad my daughter was able to Re-Take her Road Test with him because he is the best instructor at this school along with Mr. Boyd, and Mr. Norman. I advise everyone who's thinking of sending their child to this driving school to let them drive with Mr. Shane, Mr. Boyd, or Mr. Norman. read more

Update below. Well after reading all the reviews of how wonderful the instructors are at this driving school, and after my daughters first driving lesson today, so far I'm very disappointed in this place. The instructor was extremely agitated that my daughter didn't know how to drive already and lectured her and gave her grief about it the whole time. Well, why do you think we paid almost $400 for ADULT DRIVING LESSONS? Just because she's 18 does not mean she's automatically ready to drive and is knowledgeable about it all. Do what we paid you to do, and teach. Maybe the instructors way to teach is to make the students feel bad about what they don't know, to give last minute turning instructions, not explaining anything, and having her swerve all over the road; but to me, that's not professional at all. Amanda was her name, or at least that's who my daughter signed up to "learn" from. She never introduced herself, so who knows who my daughter was in the car with. That's my bad and it won't happen again. Let this be a warning to anyone researching this school. I'll be more than willing to change this review if someone in charge reaches out to me. My daughter is in the process of rescheduling her next lesson with another instructor. Hopefully they aren't as bitter as "Amanda" was. *UPDATE* Boyd was her second instructor and he was like a breath of fresh air. So if you must use this school, schedule with Boyd. read more

We had the most positive experience with Prosper Driving school! I was so nervous about my special needs son Justin taking the class. He has severe ADHD, learning disabilities and his right hand amputated. Shane was incredible with him! He's a former special ed teacher. So he was able to work with my son in class time as well as drive times. So professional! But so patient and encouraging! My son just passed the test and will be getting his license real soon! Something we didn't thing was possible...but we were willing to give him a try. We are so grateful for Shane's help with our son! 5 star experience! read more
