I'm really happy that I took the online course today. There is a LOT of information but it had a…read morecomfortable pace with an option to listen to audio while you read each page. That helped me absorb information better. The online course lasted for 6 hours. You can't get around it and is required by law. You will also be given simple questions during the presentation to make sure you're the person you say you are and are paying attention. You will also need your drivers license, car registration and insurance to answer security questions as well. So definitely have these by your side. There were a few technical glitches when processing my payment but it worked on my second attempt after waiting a couple of minutes. I also used my Google Chrome web browser but there was a problem answering one question on the test because I could not read it properly. No biggie. I scored 90% on my test. 70% is required to pass. A minor amount of the text in the presentation was not formatted properly for web browsers so you get a missing icon in some wording, but it's not bad enough to affect what you are reading or having to answer the test questions. The jokes are really cheesy but some are funny. Women may be a little offended by some jokes because it seemed to be bit sexist; but this course, videos and jokes are really old (at least 10-15 years) so just ignore it if you can. Overall, I highly recommend the online option if you want to do the course from home and receive your certificate immediately. I only paid $34 with a discount code for the course, which included the online PDF certificate I received. The fee for the online certificate was only $7. I'm very happy and would recommend to anyone on a busy schedule.

Over Thanksgiving week, I texted the owner to make appointments for 7 driving lessons that I paid for my daughter. I was told to go to their office between 1pm-3pm on Tuesday. I was not able to make it and asked if I could go on Wednesday. No response at all, so I texted him over a week later. I texted the owner to let him know I need to be able to be able to schedule over the phone or else I need a refund because it is inconvenient and unreasonable to have to drive over just to schedule appointments. I thought our interactions via in person or on the phone were good and pleasant until I received a response that shows what an unhinged, twisted liar he is. He claimed that I made rules that he can't follow and that I made threats. Which was completely ridiculous and untrue outright lies to justify his ugly response. He blocked me immediately after his text so that he would not get my response. Check our texts in the picture and decide whether this is someone you want to do business with.

He gave the students, as well as my son what they needed to know to pass the written test. They had many flexible hours, days during the week, as well as weekends to meet the demands of a challenging parental schedule. With two kids in multiple sports, the scheduling of events can be challenging. He was very accommodating. He allowed you to contact him during office hours via text, as well as stopping by. We were able to schedule practice driving, weeks in advance with availability of his staff as well as our availability, to give my son the best opportunity to pass the test. When we could not make an appointment, there was not a big deal. As long as we let him know in enough time, we would be able to reschedule without a loss of a slot or the financial investment. There were many hands working to make this business and facility successful from class teaching to Practice driving, as well as road tests. Even though we opted not to take the road test at the facility, due to cost, my son was well prepared for the exam. He passed the first time! I have a daughter coming of age and without a doubt she will be attending this school for driving.

Note: They no longer do the audio podcasts, rather you read all the material and then take the quizzes at the end of each section. At first I was bummed but then quickly realized that it would be faster for me to read it, and the information was more technical with statistics and pictures describing the material, so I'm glad they had the text material available. Loved it and finished it painlessly within two days (I could have easily done it in one sitting if I'd had the time). I had to call support a couple times because 1) I accidentally entered the wrong groupon code so I paid full price for the course AND bought the groupon, but the office was super friendly and gave me the full refund within the hour. 2) The very end was a bit confusing and I wasn't sure if I needed to input any information at the end form that popped up. They friendly explained that I didn't and said my certificate would be ready in about two hours! (I paid the $8 extra for email version). He genuinely wants to help you, so don't hesitate to call the office and click 6 to ask them any questions you come across during the course. I needed a local business that was open on Sunday's, and preferably one with competitive pricing ~ or better than! I found Ideal Driving School's parent and student reviews to be very positive and comforting. I gave them and call about 4 o'clock one day, they answered unlike another local school I called where I had to leave a message and then a call center contacted me back, and I had my son signed up for his road test on the date and time I needed) in less than 10 minutes! This was approx. one month before his sixteenth birthday. We were able to stop by the driving school the same day I booked the test to take a photo of the actual mapped out road test he would be taking ~ no problem! Very handy for driving practice. Today he took his road test! We arrived 10 minutes early and checked in with the friendly staff. We were able to pay using Zelle so that we didn't have to pay for additional fees for using a credit card. Next we met with the driving instructor before the road test, and were given an easy to read document to review that advised of exactly what would cause someone to lose points on the test or cause an immediate fail. Love the transparency! Practice makes perfect! The instructor was very friendly and my son shared that the road test experience was painless! Thank you Ideal Driving School!
