I was referred to this place from a Facebook group. Everyone praised them. My daughter and I have been going to another eye doctor but it seems like we will be parting ways with him because to get an appointment there it's a 4 months wait, which is ridiculous. So, we had our first appointment with Dr. Alan Zastrow this week. Very happy with the service. I'm also impressed with the machines they use here. Both my daughter and I were seen back-to-back and we were done within 1 hour. Dr. Zastrow has a very good bedside manner. Easy to talk to, has a sense of humor, etc. Sadly, they no longer take my insurance so this visit was out of pocket, but it was affordable. And for a yearly visit it's not a big deal that I have to pay. I was also impressed that we got his business card which was laminated and on the back they put our info (prescription strength) and when our next appointment will be. Plus, the office is a 5 minute drive from our house. So, we found our new eye doctor for the future. read more

I've been coming here for the past three years and I've always had nothing short from an awesome experience under Dr. Zastrow's care. He's patient, funny, friendly, and professional. He gives you honest advice, answers all questions in great detail, and overall just makes you feel very comfortable. I've never felt like I was being rushed, as I have felt by other doctors in the past. The office is very clean, they have a large selection of frames, and the guys who assist you with choosing the frames are always helpful. The rest of the staff is awesome, too. I would highly recommend coming to see Dr. Zastrow. I'm moving a half hour away but I will still make the drive here because this place is worth it. read more

Total scam artists here. Charging for samples is a rip off and not an industry standard. I hope that the manufacturers reps find out that you are charging for the samples themselves and not just the fitting. Disgusting. read more

I've been going to this office for a year now. I went for a yearly exam and contact lenses fitting with Dr. Zastrow. Everyone from the front desk staff to the doctor are super friendly and down to earth. I picked out a new pair of glasses and the gentleman who assisted me there was very friendly and helpful too. I thought I would be wandering around the glasses aimlessly trying pairs on but he helped match the right frame style to my face shape. Overall, another very pleasant visit. read more

I have been going to Dr DeYoung since they literally opened! Love,love him. He is an excellent dr. Who is thorough and cares about your eyes and you as a person. You are never rushed. His staff Donna, Crystal and other girls are great and always helpful. Great selection of frames - John is always kind and helpful . Nice, clean and comfortable atmosphere. I live 40 minutes and worth coming here as a patient. read more

I read other's comments and I have never been charged for a sample here. I've been to both doctors and they really take the time with me to help me choose the contacts that are perfect for my eyes. The receptionist is very friendly and knowledgeable, and all the other employees are efficient and friendly. I don't understand these negative comments. read more

Just got back from my 1st appointment at Deyong's Eye World... I have to say EVERYONE I encountered was absolutely wonderful! Dr Zastrow is absolutely the best! He answered all of my questions and never ever seemed bothered by any of it which is NOT the case with others I've been to. He could've very easily taken my money for new frames (I didn't know my particular style could be adjusted) but instead let me know the adjustment was free and could be done right there very easily. He is funny, informative and absolutely made me feel comfortable asking all my questions. I read some of the reviews in regards to charging for samples however I received a sample pair today AND he ordered another color sample pair for me to try which I did not pay for so that accusation is false. In the past, I've dreaded the eye doctor because my experiences were so crappy... I can't stand a Dr that is bothered by questions and makes it pretty obvious they want to get you out the door... That is NOT the case here. I would highly recommend Deyong's and Dr Z! read more

I have been going to Dr. Deyong since before Eye World opened. He is an amazing doctor and genuinely one of the kindest most compassionate people I've ever met in my life. The office is comfortable, clean & welcoming, the staff has always been super friendly & the selection of eyeglass frames is fantastic. I always walk out of there with a smile. Dr Deyong is one of the nicest doctors I think I may ever encounter in my life! He cares not only about your eyes but you as a person. You go in, you get your eyes checked, and not a moment of it do you feel unwelcomed, rushed, or worried. Truly an awesome time..I look forward to my visit every year! Not only that, but they have an optician, John, on staff who is AWESOME!! He'll help you pick the best frames for your face and size them perfectly! I never once left feeling like I left with the wrong pair. I can't even express how much I really love it here. The whole staff is truly extraordinary. Definitely worth the trip/switch/try. I went to Deyong's Eye World recently for a check up and had quite the experience. At first, I thought this was a pretty nice place. The staff was friendly, they offer you water while you wait, and the place is clean. Turns out I needed glasses. The very next day after my eye exam, one of my eyelids was swollen for 4 days. I'm not sure if I picked something up from the machines but needless to say, my eyelid has NEVER been swollen that much in my entire life. Second of all, they informed me that they don't do the work on the premises and that they have to send the frames and the prescription out to be filled and I should get the glasses back in about 2 weeks. It was 3 WEEKS to the date when I got my glasses back. I didn't receive the glasses back in the time frame promised. Finally, when I received my glasses, I noticed that the frame was scratched. They ordered me a new frame which took another week. When the tech switched out the lens from the old frames to put in the new frames, the right lens popped out further than the left side in the frame; something that I didn't notice while I was there and didn't notice until I got home (not sure why the tech didn't notice it). I took it back, he fixed it, I tried the glasses on in the store this time to make sure everything was okay and the lens popped out yet again. This time the tech kept the glasses to make a new lens himself. I'm still awaiting my glasses, said it will take another couple of days. Best advice I can give you is do not waste your time or money on this place. The staff and Dr. Deyong may be friendly but the service sucks. The technician let a lot of things go unnoticed like the scratch in my frames, the lens that was popping out, he didn't bend the ear part down on my glasses which made the glasses not sit right on my face, and I didn't get a cleaning cloth for my glasses. I eventually had to ask for a cleaning cloth and for the ear parts to be bent; something I don't think I should need to ask for especially when it's supposed to be these peoples jobs to make sure all these things are done before you leave the store. read more
