Dr. Alboher is friendly, knowledgeable, and an expert in his craft. He performed IPL and meibomian gland probing on me, both of which have helped me immensely in my dry eye journey. My daughter and I have…read morebeen going to another eye doctor but it seems like we will be parting ways with him because to get an appointment there it's a 4 months wait, which is ridiculous. So, we had our first appointment with Dr. Alan Zastrow this week. Very happy with the service. I'm also impressed with the machines they use here. Both my daughter and I were seen back-to-back and we were done within 1 hour. Dr. Zastrow has a very good bedside manner. Easy to talk to, has a sense of humor, etc. Sadly, they no longer take my insurance so this visit was out of pocket, but it was affordable. And for a yearly visit it's not a big deal that I have to pay. I was also impressed that we got his business card which was laminated and on the back they put our info (prescription strength) and when our next appointment will be. Plus, the office is a 5 minute drive from our house. So, we found our new eye doctor for the future.

From the beginning I've always been impressed by the quality of care and services rendered by all doctors and staff. The office environment is bright, clean, modern, and inviting. They used to have a Keurig coffee station in the waiting room (before COVID-19). I believe that Dr. Corbin-Simon is the owner which would make this optometry practice a M/WBE. Highly recommend the added services to screen for eye health even though these services are not traditionally covered by insurance. OptoMap ($39) looks at the back of the eye, and iWellness ($39) looks at the layers of the eye. I requested both for a discounted price of $59. I found the optomap reading to be very thorough and illuminating although, but iWellness was not so simple to understand.

Went to I to Eye today because unfortunately I am getting older and I have been noticing some…read morevision changes recently. A few weeks ago I went to my primary care physician and explained to him some of the things i was experiencing and he recommended i go to an ophthalmologist. Dont have the time to get into the difference between an optometrist and ophthalmologist, but a Google search will explain that for you. The ophthalmologist I saw diagnosed me with intermittent extropia...which had me concerned but I was told "dont worry about it for now" and was given a new prescription that i could take to get frames/lenses. I wont mentioned the opthalmologist's name (he is a highly rated Dr with a good reputation from what i know, I hold nothing against him, I just was looking for something more out of the visit personally)...Which brings me back to today...I went to see Dr Madeline Fernandez who was able to give me a follow up exam and consultation and talk to me further about the intermittent extropia diagnosis. I have been going to I to Eye since I was about 15 or so, from when the shop was at its prior location just down Broad St (the current office is in the old Lucky Jeans location if you are from the area and remember). I am in my early 40s now...so the office being in Town so long tells you that this business has the support and trust of the community...Primary reason i went to another doctor was based on the recommendation i got from my primary but going to Dr Fernandez to talk to her...i walked away feeling relieved, educated, and confident that my corrective lenses are going to address my problems. She took the time to explain prism lenses to me and progressives which I will be using going forward. The office and optical boutique has plenty of brands and styles to choose from. Arnell and another gentleman (I dont remember his name) helped me pick out my new frames. Arnell was sitting behind a desk and told the other associate "Why dont you show him the Tom Ford glasses with the clip"...Arnell has a great sense of style and knows what I like based off the frames I have now and historically have purchased...he even commented "these frames are very engineer like" which made me chuckle because it was cool that even though I havent been to the office in a few yrs, he still remembers my profession. I absolutely love my new frames and i am excited to get them. Dr Fernandez and Arnell are not only professional but great, kind people/human beings. They just have a calming/relaxed temperament. If you are originally from the area/Westfield you know how often businesses open and close in a short period of time...I am happy that I to Eye has stood the test of time and that I have place I can trust. Having great doctors (such as Dr Fernandez), a great mechanic, a great tailor, and a great go-to local restaurant...just give you a feeling that cant be taken for granted. This review for I to Eye is well overdue. If you need an eye exam or just want to get some stylish frames this is the place to visit!

Steer clear of this place! People with no human decency, phone etiquette or manners don't deserve…read morepatients time of day in my eyes! Been struggling with my graduated lenses and having trouble with computer. She said "if they don't work for you we will take them back". Well tried twice with adjustments and I could not see the computer. And they did not take them back. Exchanged them for a lower priced distance pair of glasses that I did not need. The tech said "I will give you reflective lenses because you are disappointed". Just picked up that pair of glasses which had to be significantly lower in price. But who would know. They don't talk price. Ended up paying 50 dollar balance for a refelctive test not covered by my insurance. Fired. Never going back. So dissappointed. Think twice about this place. Nice people. Bad policy/customer service.

Micheal said they were probably measured wrong by the other optical shop. He said they don't make mistakes and it would be so much better for me. I agreed and wore them only twice before I couldn't wear them again. I spoke with the former optical shop and my insurance and they said he should be able to change them. After a lengthy explanation - he said yes. I was so happy - until I got them back months later. SAME PROBLEM - progressives - I was driving to work and everything was blurry but worse. I called - was told this was unacceptable and it would he discussed first thing in the morning as he was not there. fast forward to the END of the next day and I am the one calling again. oh my they forgot to call me but would get right on it. It will take another several days! Woke up to a message 2 days later - I don't always check voicemail because I don't use it. Micheal has no idea if I need distance or close up how is that even possible - I need them for driving and television - and I said for distance - can't get more simplified than that. Can't get more ridiculous than that!
