FAIR WARNING: 10 mos after my first Visionworks glasses.....screw loosens and lens pops out.......crummy frames......customer spokesperson refuses to correct problem even though it was their doing........I was told I didn't buy their warranty.....I replied "I need a warranty to protect me from you?".......crickets Never going back. read more

ZERO stars. I bought a pair of progressive lens eyeglasses from them in Ray-Ban frames. These cost around $600. When I got them, I immediately tried them on in the store and I noticed my vision was not clear, especially for distance. I discussed this with the staff. They suggested I wear them a bit and if not right let them know. So I did but I also brought them to my eye doctor the next day. He checked the lenses and discovered that they were not cut properly according to his prescription. Additionally, while at the eye doctor I noticed that the left lens was not fitted in the frames properly. It was loose. I brought the back to Visionworks the next day with both complaints. They took them back saying they would "check the prescription" and at a minimum, replace the left lens because the shape of it didn't fit the frames, hence the looseness. A week and a half later I get the glasses back, I try them and as far as the ability to see any better, they seemed about the same. But, amazingly (or not?) the lens that was loose wasn't replaced at all. What they did was bend the frame to fit the lens! So that was that. I wanted my money back and they gave it to me, because they do have a "return for any reason" policy. However, the nerve of them to try to skate by responsibility for fixing them properly obviously just hoping I wouldn't notice. What jerks. I am really grateful to have found this excellent new eye Dr and Eyeglasses store. I have a new insurance plan this year, and although I liked the previous eye Dr and store that I was going to, they are not in-network for my new plan. I chose this Visionworks from the list of in-network providers because it's less than 3 miles from my house. I liked the store right away when I walked in the front door because it is clean and bright and all three women working here greeted me with friendly smiles and hellos. Dr. Patel did my eye exam and she is just wonderful! I had a bunch of questions and she took her time and answering all of them and doing a thorough exam. She also did not try to upsell progressives to me, which I really appreciated since I tried them years ago and disliked them. One of the assistants did the other eye tests with me, and she was as sweet as could be. Another person working there helped me pick out my frames, explain the different lenses, and answered my insurance questions. Again, pleasant, helpful, and thorough. The staff told me they would text when the glasses were ready and gave me an estimated day of delivery, and the glassed actually came in a few days earlier than anticipated. I went to pick them up, had no wait, they fit perfectly, and I see great with them. Within hours I saw someone I knew and her first comment was "I love your new glasses. Where did you get them?" I enthusiastically recommend this Visionworks location and Dr. Patel and her top notch team. read more

1. Walked in my appointment was at 3:40, got there no later than 3::50, due to traffic from leaving work. So when I went to check in the guy who I later found out was the Supervisor, said oh you almost missed your appointment. Then he tells me my VSP benefits says used. I told him that is impossible because I verified everything before I booked the appointment. He was like well that is what is listed so then he says we can do the exam but it will cost you between 180 and 200, and you can dispute it with your insurance and if right more than likely they will reimburse you, I was like fine because I needed my contacts replaced, so he continue to tell me you can wait over at the table. 2. When getting my exam the young lady which did not really know what she was doing, when I said I have my old contacts in, shouldn't I take them out, she says no. I said we'll that is never the way they do things when getting a exam. So we continue with the exam, let's note the chairs have no wheels so it was hard to move the chair closer constantly me lifting it up. So we go to the last phase still contacts in so the results couldn't determine, then I said because my contacts are still in. She says oh, yeah can you remove them. 3. Get in to the Dr. and did the reading of letters, but the left lens was so foggy on the machine, I said I can not read it too blurry, so she wipes it off and I was able to proceed, to me multiple people come in and out and do they even clean the area we put our face and chin on no papers. But she was good no complaints about her, very professional. 4. Go to check out Amanda helped me and when she saw it showed I didn't have insurance she ask me and I said yes I do, but the guy who was sitting at the PC which like I said is the supervisor that is when I heard he was. She asked me was it OK to call my insurance company to verify when I told her I never used my benefits. I said thank you for asking that. She calls gets everything straightened out my benefits was valid she asked all what was covered which I already knew and got it cleared. What made me say a 3, if the supervisor would have done what his employee did he would have known, but he never even offered just dismissed what I said. To me that says a lot from a Supervisor. The only reason I would return was because of Amanda she went above and beyond which I would have thought she was the supervisor. I am going to post this experience on Yelp, because Amanda needs to be recognized and your supervisor needs more training. read more

I have never felt so comfortable having an eye exam. This begins with Amanda at the main desk. She answered all my questions and understood when I didn't "get" something. She was very reassuring and understood my lack of knowledge. Niya took me back to do the preliminary parts of the exam, also very kind and explained answers to my questions. Dr Kim was next with my full eye exam. She was very nice and understood when something wasn't "clear" for me. I am very assured I will have the perfect lenses. Back at the front desk, Amanda was ready to go over anything I needed to hear again. Dr Kim had printed my exam results so that if I had questions later, the information would be there. I love vision works ever since my kids were still young and now they are all grown up and still coming from Maslanding, NJ to Morristown, NJ and even here in Rockaway NJ but this only one lady that has definitely attitude and not accommodating, poor customer service. First time visiting this location and I can't recommend it enough!! Dr. Radich was so friendly and helpful, and really took to the time to answer my questions and explain everything in detail. Not once was I rushed or made to feel like my questions were dumb (which has happened at other locations). Michael in the front was also incredible with anticipating my needs, and helped me pick out the perfect frames and find a great deal at the same time. I was helped by a total of 5 people today, and every single one was professional and friendly. The location is also super clean and well-kept. Keep up the great work everyone! read more

The staff at this location is absolutely amazing!!! I went here a few months ago, and am ecstatically planning my next visit when I get to order my new frames (I lost my balance while swimming in the ocean, they fell off my face, and I have just saved up enough now for a new pair)!! They were so kind over the phone and in person, and the place was sparkling clean. I was speaking to my coworker, and felt inspired to write this review, as she told me the workers at her optometrist's office begrudgingly adjusted her frames and she left with ill-fitting frames. I literally gasped--I understand that people have their reasons for acting whoever they may choose, but I was so shocked! I had the time of my life at this location! I came by to get my glasses readjusted after I slept on them (oops) AND was able to bring in some other frames that I did not purchase from Visionworks to be readjusted as well! They just noted that they were not responsible for any damages to those frames--duh! They were speedy but did not rush me--if I was hesitant in how they felt on my face they offered to fix them until I felt secure! I'm sure I was a bit of a pain for them, but they did not make me feel like one :) Soooo sweet! I had a lovely conversation with the person who fixed my frames and I eavesdropped on the conversations around and it seemed like they were treated with the same kindness and patience as myself :). And as a testament to their work, I am happy to say my other 3 frames are still in good standing to this day!! Ocean-proof maybe not, but they are miracle workers nonetheless! read more
