My husband and I have been trying to contact the surgical coordinator for almost a month and no one has gotten back to us. I've called, emailed and left voicemails. I'm afraid that at this point the date for his surgery will not be available. Why is it so hard to get a call back? The only reason why I am leaving 2 stars is because the doctor he saw was very knowledgeable and helpful, but the front desk and scheduling is a mess. UPDATED they finally called us back after this review and then ended up postponing his surgery "until further notice" a week before. What a joke. They literally said we will call you in January. I will never return to this office. The greed is not only obvious it's also an inconvenience. They overbook patients with a lack of concern for their time. I was scheduled for an appointment for 10:15 and I was there for 3 hours. I went back to Omni Eye care because I have a cloud type floater in my left eye along with a black circle that isn't moving & every now & then bright line of white light is to side of eye. They took me in as an emergency after tests I seen Burton Wisotsky, MD he said it's not my retina but "just a ball of jelly" (vitreous) I asked if it could be broke up with laser he said no. This happened once before Douglas Grayson, MD hit it with laser it all broke up. I wish I had seen Dr.Grayson instead. Doesn't even deserve one star, 3 hours for an appointment, when we asked the optometrist why it takes so long, she said this a specialist office and it's not a primary care office. She is also a racist and her attitude got worse once she learned where we were from. They need to understand people in this area are from all over the World so they can keep their racist mindset to themselves. There was one girl/woman who worked in the front that was extremely nice and if you ask me was overworked and probably, Idk for sure, underpaid and she's the ONLY reason you're getting 2 stars. There was always horrible scheduling problems last minute, which is hard for an 80 year old man who doesn't drive to keep up with. Visits are spread out like 3-6 months a part because of I'm guessing overbooking. My father was a patient for a year, supposedly had cataracts and other things wrong but only saw the doctor twice in that whole year and had no procedures done at all, nothing, bs visits that were chatting sessions with "future plans" . I respectfully arrived for my 10am appointment at 945am. At 10:30 I asked the front desk how much longer and was told 'at least another hour'. I replied that 'I can't expect to be out of here till after noon?' I was then informed that 'your visit will take Over Two Hours once I'm inside.' Overall, a supremely frustrating and annoying experience. They have not even figured out how to answer the TELEPHONE, and get back to people about what is being scheduled and when. From a medical standpoint, Omni deserves 5 stars. Their doctors are trustworthy and professional and I have had good results with cataract surgery in September 2021. The office visits, although time consuming and assembly line in feeling, are pretty efficient. The transparency of the surgical coordinator while planning the cataract surgery is where Omni went wrong. I was quoted a price of $3500 for surgery with a premium lens and was lead to believe that was the total out-of-pocket cost. Fast forward and I get charged $250 more at the surgical center, then receive a bill for additional $1440! If I had known this surgery was going to cost over $5000, I probably would not have chosen the premium lens. Omni needs to SPELL OUT the total cost of surgery, not just the lens!! I am very disappointed and upset about this turn of events and recommend you request a detailed breakout of total costs before proceeding with a procedure or surgery. read more

Had eye surgery at Chambersburg location. Before you have surgery the office staff AUTOMATICALLY makes all post operatvie appointments etc. Had surgery, went to my operatvie recheck appointments. Got a bill for my usual office copay. Called office as to why I'm being charged. It a post op visit my $500 copay was already paid Well, they only HONOR the inclusive charge for office visit rechecks ip to day 10. The office tells you and makes All rechecks at 14 days. So because i was past the 10 days i have to pay fees Again. Patients ARE NOT advised of this 10 limit. If i was told i would be seen by 10 days! They just tell you to come back at 14 days and automatically make the appointments for us. This is a RIPOFF! Another way to ripoff patients. And mostly patients who are seniors. This needs to be corrected and they over chsrged me for the surgery per my insurer and took the $50 out of my regund check.​ read more

This is the worst place to go for eye care. DO NOT GO HERE! Cataract surgery scheduling is difficult- they dont tell you the time of surgery until 24hrs prior to surgery. Impossible to get follow up care if something goes wrong. Dr Grayson operates an assembly line of surgeries, patients are not people, just dollar signs. Waiting areas are crowded and disorganized and appointment times are NOT kept. Staff is disrespectful - no one has any bedside manner or compassion. I brought my 5 year old grandson into see Dr. Napolitano because his eyes were crossed. I was understandably nervous, but the good doctor explained the procedure, said that it was a simple operation and that my grandson would be in recovery within 45 minutes. That eased my panic. My concern for my grandson was that he would have to compensate for his vision problems and also that he would get bullied because he looked "different." The surgery was successful because of Dr. Napolitano's fine skills and within 3 days my grandson was back to his normal playful self. My husband has gone to multiple doctors with regards to issues with both of his eyes. After about four months of running around he was referred to Dr. Napolitano. Since meeting this physician my husband had nothing but wonderful things to say about his first experience in the office. Had a procedure done at Robert Wood New Brunswick with Dr Napolitano and everything went smoothly. Almost a month later he still in the healing process and has seen Dr. Napolitano two times since surgery and he has been very empathetic and supportive throughout the whole process. I do not think they care about patient's time, they overbook doctors and do not have enough rooms for the patients, I was on time for my appointment but still I had to wait for 2 hours just to get in to the office and once I am in the room I had to wait another half hour to be seen by the doctor and guess what I was not seen by the specialist I was suppose to see. I was scheduled for cataract surgery today in west orange. I have been here since ten after twelve surgery one thirty still sitting here in a packed waiting room. It is like a assembly line. I booked this appointment for my 79yo father over the phone, giving them all of his information including his insurance. The initial phone process was simple. However, Omni overbooked the appointments and had a lot of people waiting in the waiting area. My father's appt started at 2:30 and he did not leave there until 4:30. They offered him two services, 1 covered by insurance and the other costing $1900 PER EYE. The doctor got up and walked out stating "she'll help you" meaning another staff member when my father said he did not have that kind of money and preferred the procedure covered by insurance. The doctor never addressed my father by name but simply walked in and then walked out when he was informed my dad wished to use insurance. This place is unprofessional, disrespectful to the patients, and, honestly, it felt like a scam. Why waste my 79yo father's time having to travel 40min for an appt that was BS? I had surgery on 1/18/19 with Dr. Napolatino at Hackensack Hospital. My visits to the office were in Maywood. Staff is friendly, Dr. Napoltiano was great. Successful surgery. This company is like a pay-to-play company. You pay up front first, then we will schedule you at the last minute. You have a day that you are scheduled, but you cannot plan for the whole day. But please, pay us first. There are 2 sides to this company - the place where you get your operation/surgery and the follow up place. The place where you get your surgery is where you pay first while we let you know the day before when your exact time is. It's a for profit company anyway, but the least they can do is give me the time and then demand the payment. The other place - the follow up - is a much nicer place, more civilized. I've only experienced their place in Parsippany and the doctors and front office personnel there are very accommodating. One thing you may encounter every now and then is that your scheduled time is a ballpark figure - you may be seen anywhere between your scheduled time and 45 minutes later. Also, the place works like an assembly line - there can be a crowd of people of which doctors assistants will guide you to your room, then the next, then the next until you see the doctor. The corridors in the Parsippany office are a bit narrow, so when there are many patients, it tends to crowd the corridors. So you have patients and doctors assistants flooding the corridors. Not the most pleasant experience, but at least, in the end, when you see your eye doctor, they treat you very well. Update 2019-12-10: My uncle is supposed to have surgery on 11 Dec and it's now 10 Dec and they have not given us the time of his surgery. In the meantime, they want to collect payment for the surgical place. After some coaxing, I was able to get the time and will pay the fee tomorrow at the surgery place in West Orange, NJ. This will be my uncles 2nd surgery at the place. From what my uncle told me, you will be waiting at the surgery place for a long time - will update. read more

It's true that you're seen way passed your appointment time but I overcompensate by going at least 30-45 minutes before my scheduled appointment. The clinical staff is friendly and the doctors I saw were pretty good (Grayson, Veliky, Mullen, Fox). They all seemed to know what they were talking about and seemed genuinely concerned for my condition. I have only 2 complaints. One is the lack of details. Not much was really explained to me regarding my condition, the plan for improving it, directions to my procedure, what each medication was for, how I needed to dress for procedure, etc. They gave me a packet with general info but it would have been nice if they went over it with me since I can't SEE very well and all. They even forgot to tell me to bring someone to drive me home after procedure. I kind of figured so I brought someone just in case. The devil is in the details, as people say. I knew what questions to ask, being in the healthcare field, so was able to get clarification. I worry about others that may not. My second complaint is regarding the accounts payable person. She was trying to track me down like a hawk to pay for something BEFORE the procedure. She even left me a message saying they would need to cancel the procedure if I didn't pay. When I was finally able to call her (I work all day, every day), she was very curt and borderline rude. I actually considered maybe not doing procedure with them but I really liked the doctors. All in all, the doctors are very good at what they do. Would have given them 4 stars if not for the lack of details and unpolished support staff. I would recommend the doctors at OCS. read more

My first visit to Omni. 5 stars for accommodating me as an emergency. Really appreciated that. However, 1 star for then telling me that they forgot the surgeon was not at the location that day, and 3 hours later I still had to go 45 minutes away where the surgeon was. The surgeon and staff at this location were great...5 stars! One eye was done! On my next visit for the other eye--while waiting for the surgeon, a millenial staff member walked into the room, removed his mask and spit in the sink!!!! Eeeuu!! I asked someone else for a manager and a woman showed up and said she was The VP!! Oh my goodness. This may be the worst medical organization I've EVER encountered. All they are is a billing machine. From the Doctors that perform the surgeries, to the appointment setting, billing and more, this organization is terrible. Two years ago, I have cataract surgery and lenses implanted in both eyes. I was told it will change my life: better vision, no glasses, no lenses will be needed. My vision for a period of time was better, I will admit. However, I was never told about the reflective glare I would be encountering when driving at night that would blind me and effect my depth perception. When I called the office, I was told then that it was an issue with that type of surgery. First time I heard that. What sucked was, a key reason for having the surgery was my challenges of driving at night prior to the surgery. Omni told me nothing could be done. Fortunately, my Opthamolgist was able to prescribe a special pair of glasses to help, not resolve, the issue. Now I am back wearing glasses at night. Recently, my eyes have had issues again with clarity of vision. Went back to see Dr. Grayson, who performed the original surgery, who told me that the lenses in my eyes were getting some residue and needed to be lasered to remove the residue. These had to be done at separate appointments. Both appointments were set as the first appointments of the day and Dr. Grayson meandered in an hour and a half late to both. No consideration for other peoples time. He ended up doing both lasers. Shortly thereafter, I began having real issues with floaters in my eyes as well not getting the clarity I had right after the original surgery. So, I made another appointment to see what could be done. Dr. Grayson wasn't there so I was seen by another Doctor who said that nothing could be done with the floaters and I had to live with it. And the vision is the vision. The kicker of all this is that now I am getting bills for these visits. They charged me for the two laser visits, which did not work and made it worse by having a slew of floaters. On top of it all, they are also charging me for coming back to look at my eyes from the issue of the lasers. They want to charge for three visits that made my eyes worse and added insult to injury, charge me for having them check the mess they created. Their billing department, which took 4 days to finally speak with them, said: you get serviced, so we need to charge you. The gall of it all. Don't go to Omni. Their vision is short sighted and so will yours if you go there. read more

Dr. Wisotsky took away my natural lens during the retinal detachment surgery, but he lied to me that I developed an acute cataract after the surgery. I didn't find out until I saw other doctors. The new doctors told me that my crystalline lens was taken away, and therefore I didn't have a cataract. These new doctors wrote "Aphakia" (absence of lens) in my medical records. And the ultrasound images also showed no lens present in my injured eye. Omni even tried to charge me $1600 for laser removal of the cloudy lens, saying laser is not covered by the insurance. But in fact, my lens was already removed by Dr. Wisotsky. When I mentioned about seeing other cataract surgeons, Dr. W discouraged me from seeing them, and said ONLY his colleague Dr. Grayson could do my surgery. Ironically, I never met Dr. Grayson during my entire time at Omni. But my "cataract" surgery date was scheduled. Thank God I got a second opinion before that. Dr. Wisotsky fudged my medical records to fit his own version of stories, and to cover up his wrongdoings. read more

I went Omni eyes Dec 05 2016 for Retina test , I served in different three rooms for test , first room when I visit doctor assistant check my basic examination and he did not clean his work (station ) also he use in lite tools touch my eyes not cleaned , after they take me other two rooms for different test and they clean his machine and each tool front of me , then I feel my self why not they clean sfation and tools in first room , any ways my retina test was good I was happy and come back home . next.... When I reach home in hour and half my eyes coming big sewelling red with full of water , Next day I contact to Omni and complain about , they call me in office I made few visit then take two week come back in little normal not completely perfect , then again my left eyes come back same way I call them again and they start again a same antibiotic course , but still my eyes is not normal , this is all doctor assistant negligence result , now I will check my eyes other place soon , Omni sending me lot of bills for the negligence work ..... Had both eyes done, one took 10 minutes for Dr. to do, the other took 4 minutes, that one i see black spots , looks like a fly on the side of my head. went for the first one in w.orange had 39 people in the waiting room, appt. was at 10:00 got there at 9:15 got home that night at 6:15, second one was the same thing. now i am getting a bill for the anesth. they want $1575.00, that the va is suppose to pay for. so i callked an they wants my medicare numbers, I told them oh no you not billing me twice. Probably the worse medical office I've been in YEARS!! After making an appt for my 74 yr old mom, I called the day of for location info and the person that answered the phone could not see my mom on her schedule. And that's after I had called over a month ago to schedule and a 2nd time to verify the time. After going back and forth, she was able to "squeeze" her in with Dr. Nguyen. We arrived 15 minutes early and mom was called about 20 minutes later. Because of covid, I was not allowed in the room. Which I was ok with. So, an hour goes by, I text mom to see if she had been seen by Dr. Nguyen. She said she did in fact see her and ran some eye tests on her and was to come back to discuss. Another 30 mins go by and no doctor. I asked the receptionist why it was taking so long and she tells me that an new patient visit is 3 hrs!!!! REALLY??? So 3 phones calls to your facility and no one mentions that. Idiots work there! First, they can't find the appt then I'm given a 3pm appt and expect us to be there until 6pm. It was obvious that the doc was back and forth between exam rooms and expecting patients to wait that long. The are rude, inconsiderate. I should have paid attention to the 2 star review on Yelp. It should be minus 2. Don't bother with this place. The overall feeling we got is that don't care about you. read more

Do not have surgery with this eye group!! I had cataract surgery a few weeks ago and the anesthesiologist punctured my retina. I've had to have two surgeries following this accident. The doctors take no responsibility for this unfortunate mishap. I was unable to have my surgery that day as they rushed me off to a retinologist. The final words I received from them were I hope you have a speedy recovery!. They hire incompetent anesthesiologists with backgrounds of misconduct. A close friend of mine used omni for cataract surgery and had a terrible experience! They made a mistake and injured her eye during the procedure. She needed corrective surgery to repair the injury and was in pain for weeks. They were not apologetic and offered no compensation. They do not treat patients as people but rather as paychecks. This is my first time ever leaving review on any where on internet, but after today's incident, I had to do something. My daughter had to go through three eye surgeries because the doctor could not perform simple strabismus surgery on one eye. He tried to correct the first surgery with the second one, which failed again and end up doing unnecessary recession surgery on opposite eye. He did not explain what happened back then, and 8 years later we found out from other neuropthalmologist. I regret so much that I left my daughters eyes into his hands, but the damaged is done already. Now, my daughter has a brain tumor that requires urgent surgery, so when we requested for the old medical records, the staffs were very in-efficient and had showed no empathy. They keep saying that it will take 3 to 30 days for the record release. When I finally talked to the the person in charge of records, she was very rude and proudly YELLING at me "by law we are required to keep the record for 7 years ONLY. Therefore your records are SHREDDED! period." When your daughter is going through a series of serious brain surgeries, you don't need the yelling from medical staff. You have to have at least 2 hours to get the test done at this place. You have to go to 3 different rooms for different purpose. In between going to different rooms you wait in the waiting area for at least 20 mins. This is in addition to waiting for 20 mins initially when you get there. Wait! Wait! Wait! I would not recommend Dr. Burton J. Wisotsky and the Omni Eye Center. Dr. Wisotsky is very condescending. I brought my father to him for a post surgical visit. In the office I wasn't greeted or acknowledged by Dr Wisotsky. When the exam was over Dr Wisotsky was ready to leave without asking if we had any questions. When I prevented him from leaving with my question, Dr Wisotsky's was very rude and spoke in medical terminology. He also said my dad wasn't paying attention to the pre-op consultation or he would have known what to expect. While his lack of attention was extremely possible, saying so in this manner was extremely insulting. When we mentioned my Dad was troubled by his blurry vision, Dr Wisotsky insisted all was well because of scores he read and again more medical jargon. This was neither comforting nor helpful for a man who had eye surgery and was still experiencing discomfort. The Omni Eye Center is decorated nicely but the staff is lacking. After surgery my dad had a large bandage covering his eye. When he was called in for his post-op appointment the staff told him to take off his bandage and left the room. This made him nervous since he didn't know if his feeling had returned and what he would see under the bandage. Of all these circumstances, however, I believe the worst is that neither Dr Wisotsky not the staff provided written instruction on how to adjust the amount and frequency of his eye drops. They just told him and expected him to remember which is comical since they had previously accused him of not paying close enough attention. In all, I am disappointed with the care my family received. The assembly line surgical center and obnoxious, condescending attitude of the surgeon is just not worth it. read more
