Earlier today, I came in with a laminating job that I needed completed the same day. I made that timeline very clear from the start. Tyler assured me that the job would be completed by 4 PM, which is why I agreed to move forward and paid for the service upfront. I even tipped Tyler as a gesture of appreciation for good customer service, expecting that my order would be handled responsibly. Unfortunately, I later received a call saying that the job cannot be completed until Monday. This is completely unacceptable. I came to the store early specifically to ensure the job would be done today, and now my schedule and plans have been disrupted because of a lack of follow-through. If I had known from the start that same-day service was not possible, I would have gone elsewhere. What makes this worse is that this seems to be part of a recurring issue at this location. Several recent reviews mention service and reliability problems, which suggests this is not an isolated incident but a pattern. OfficeMax is a national brand, and with that comes the expectation of professionalism, accountability, and dependable service. Paying for a service, being promised a same-day completion, and then having that promise broken is unacceptable and undermines trust in the brand. I would appreciate it if someone from corporate could contact me to address this situation. Please provide the appropriate corporate customer service or escalation contact so this matter can be resolved. I hope this feedback helps improve service at this location, as experiences like mine should not happen at any OfficeMax store.

It took me a while to get through the screens on my MacBook in order to print out my work. She was able to take her time and help me. I looked around and as always every time I need office supplies and school supplies it's here!

When I requested an immediate visit, the representative rudely put me on hold and redirected my call to voicemail. This is unbelievable! It was easy to get to from our house and thankfully they had the bright blue box truck in front of their warehouse. All the buildings look the same on Westinghouse. So we went inside and a receptionist asked if we had an appointment. We didn't but it wasn't a problem. We met a nice young lady named Tina who guided us through the prices of things and we found a file cabinet that was perfect for us. If you need to have items delivered there is a delivery fee. It seems to be based on how far away you are and how many things you have ordered. Our fee was $95. I thought it was steep and that we could've just popped it in the back of the SUV, but my wife said that they could deliver it so we'll see how they do at that. They have an amazing variety of new and used office furnishings and the warehouse is easy to navigate. (7/5/16) Ok so I spent a few hours during the week moving things around to where the delivery guys could have a clear straight run at the wall that the cabinet was to be placed against. Two younger guys showed up & took the cabinet off the big blue truck with a lift gate and placed it on a furniture dolly. They wheeled it up to the front door, then lifted it up and brought it into the sunroom. They were here right at 0800 and they spent about 20 minutes leveling the cabinet till they were satisfied. I signed some paperwork and they left. I'd also received a call at 0730 from Jeremy at Carolina Office Solutions letting me know that our filing cabinet was out for delivery. It seems kind of silly in retrospect but its a pretty big thrill to see the big blue truck pull up in front of the house. All smiles here, we know where to go for our next piece of office equipment.

    I renewed a copier contract with Morris Bus Solutions (SC) shortly before I sold my business. Upon…read moreselling the business I informed both Morris Bus Solutions and Xerox that the buyer would be assuming my lease, which unfortunately he never legally did, though he made the payments. At end of lease, Morris did not contact me but negotiated a new lease with the buyer and as an incentive they gave my buyer a check and instructions on making payment and closing out the lease). I don't understand how they were able to pay him to end my lease as he never formally assumed my lease. Neither Morris nor my buyer let me know about my lease or the fact that there was technically a written notice required from my business that the lease would not be renewed. I know all parties had been informed that my business had been sold and that the buyer would be assuming the lease and so in my mind there was nothing further for me to do. Turns out my buyer did not pay the last three months on the lease, did not do a written notice of non renewal and did not tell me anything. When I asked to confirm all was well (at end of lease period), he assured me all had been taken care of and Morris had taken care of. He did not mention he had entered a new lease. When I contacted Morris to confirm all was taken care of they told me that my lease had automatically renewed and that I now owed a year's worth of lease payments even though the equipment had been renewed. With the help of Rachel Morris (who handles billing) and Barbara Renda (on the contract side) and many phone calls to Xerox Financial, I was finally able to hold the buyer responsible for the three months of unpaid amounts, late fees and additional month of lease payment assessed . Rachel and staff sent me all of the documentation needed and were very supportive and concerned (Morris was in part responsible for the problem as no one there contacted me directly about the end lease requirement and deal with my buyer, who did NOT legally assume the lease). They answered all of my emails timely and were genuinely concerned about my quandary. In the end, it was their documentation and assistance that allowed me to straighten this mess out. I am just please that they did the right thing and did not ignore me once they had gotten a new lease signed with my buyer. They made it as easy as they could for me, and I appreciate that.

It's also near impossible to get someone to assist you. I was looking for desk drawer organizer and all the ones at Office Max were so small. I checked Amazon and the big one that was adjustable was made of bamboo and was over $70 bucks, bamboo, really? Before COVID there was a Staples in Rock Hill but it didn't survived the pandemic. I liked the store though, easy to navigate web, easy to order on line, friendly staff and good prices. So I decided to make to make the drive to Pineville, NC which is about a 30 minute drive for me. It's in a dense heavy traffic area near the Atrium Hospital so I usually try to avoid that area. It was worth the drive today. I had a relatively good experience except for when I entered. There was no trash can at the store entrance. When I walked in, I looked around and again no trash can. I had just eaten some fast food and hand my hands full and didn't want to be walking around with all that in hand. I walked behind a service desk looking for a trash can and some guy, said 'hey, what are you doing'? I said looking for a trash can. He said 'there is one in front of the store'. I told him I looked when I came in and didn't see it. He said 'oh, you have to go around the corner'. OK great, I did but it was such a pain. Not a good experience, I know there are trash cans in the store somewhere, he just didn't want to help me. I found several options for the drawer organizers and picked out three different options. I figure one had to work and if not, I would return the others. Turns out, they all worked great. The check-out was a bit challenging. It was soooo busy, of course two days before Christmas, to be expected. There was only one lady on the register and she was actually taping up a box to go out with UPS. When she got to me, she apologized and she asked if i was a member of their Rewards program. She explained the benefits and features and I could hear people behind me complaining. She signed me up and as I walked to my vehicle, there was a shady character who was following me. I turned around to confront him and he walked away. Parking in this strip center is TERRIBLE! There are no stop signs where there should be and signs where there shouldn't be. All to make a busy parking lot prime for honking horns and angry shoppers. All I could do was hum 'peace on earth, good will toward men'

Computer programming and desk/office supplies readily available for purchasing. I saw two computer for access documents perhaps for your email so you don't have to travel home etc. Copier machines available as well. I had some papers laminated for ongoing referencing and cheap. Staff is quick and ready to help.
