EXTREMELY POOR shopping experience. We showed up to shop after making an appointment. When we get there five minutes later we are greeted with what felt like suspicion. No "Good day," "May I help you?" Instead, we are interrogated with an accusatory tone: "Who are you? Why are you here? Do you have an appointment?" We are finally buzzed in through a locked door after the woman questions the rest of the workers to find out who made the appointment with us. We are told to wait while they debate who would assist us. About ten minutes later, we are assigned the least experienced one of among them. We know this because she told us she'd just joined the company a week or so before. (I'm not sure why one must be buzzed in to look at office furniture and equipment. I've been in high-end jewelry stores that did not have such entry procedures, but I digress.) We find a used ErgoHuman chair we want to buy. A few minutes later, Woman Two tells our saleswoman that said chair was sold. Woman Two marches out with a sales sticker as a prop to sell what was obviously a lie. "We're going to become an ErgoHuman dealer/distributor," she says, tossing us a bone as consolation prize or as if to say come back some other day in the unforetold future. She goes on to add "all our ErgoHuman chairs in stock have been sold to a company just before you arrived." Yeah, right. This was around noon on a Good Friday, mind you. But I'm sure they had swampland they wanted to sell us instead. I can't help wondering if this substandard treatment was because we were buying one chair, not several pieces of office equipment. When we phoned to get more information on the store we were told all kinds of people shopped there and that it was for the residential and commercial customer. I suspect they did not sell us the chair because they did not want to break up an even set of one of their best brands. If that were the case, they should have explained that instead of making up that highly unlikely story and insulting our intelligence. With such poor customer service I will never shop there again. read more
