They specialize in older units and are able to find the "hard to find" parts that go with the territory. They are so busy that scheduling can be a few weeks out, but when they come out, they're polite, professional and clearly know what they're doing! When our 40-year-old furnace blower stopped working, they did not try to pressure us to buy a new furnace - even though 40 years is a more than generous life for a furnace! They gave us the option of replacing the blower or replacing the entire furnace. They technician gave us the pros and cons and let us make the decision we were most comfortable with. We opted to replace the furnace, not knowing what could go wrong next, or when (thoughts of a middle-of-winter ice storm were haunting our thoughts!), and they made the entire process seamless. They disassembled the old furnace, customized the in and out air lines for the new furnace and had us up and running in no time. We are very happy with the outcome and recommend Lester's to anyone looking for a job well done with a friendly, informed and patient technician who was happy to answer all of our questions about the new unit. I give them a 4 out of 5 because there can be a wait of a few weeks, which is not the end of the world, but a little tough in the middle of a heatwave or ice storm.

They were understandably busy this week but my experience with them can be summed up by saying that this business is unprofessional, unreliable and terrible at communication. After dealing with them exclusively in the past several years, they have managed to lose me as a customer. Details: I spoke to Lester's on Monday morning and was told that the soonest that a repair person could come out would be on Wednesday. When Wednesday came, I had not yet heard from the company regarding the time frame for my appointment. I called again and was told that they would not be able to send someone out on Wednesday after all. The repair man would not be able to be at the apartment until Thursday. I was upset about the last minute change and expressed my discontent. The lady on the phone was defensive, rude and unprofessional. She could not give me a time frame for the Thursday repair. I asked if they expected me to spend the entire day in a sauna waiting for them to arrive? The lady on the phone responded, "If you don't like it, go somewhere else!" Naturally, I asked to speak to the manager, she abruptly transferred my call to a gentleman who was equally as helpful as she. I most definitely do not recommend dealing with this company and would give them a rating of zero stars if it were possible.

They were flexible with our timing when other parts of the project fell behind. As the project started to wrap up they were diligent at getting their parts done to help move things along. When we moved in they came back multiple times to make sure everything was working perfectly and when I've had questions about using the new system they have been fast to respond! Special shout out to Bill who has done a lot of the work, is very friendly and knowledgeable. We will definitely use them for any future projects!

I was happy with their work in the beginning. However, when things started to go south with a mistake that they did with the water heater they were not willing to fix it and passed the blame to the propane provider for their mistake in installing the unit. The water heater was for an 80 year old and 75 year old and they were fine leaving them without water just because they didn't want to own their mistake. This shows that they don't care about owning their work or their customers. I will never hire them again for anything, and I hope whoever reads this review thinks twice before hiring this company.

After we paid the deposit, they notified us that the project would be delayed for one month due to COVID supply issues. I grudgingly accepted this as a consequence of the "interesting times" we live in, until our furnace completely blew out a few weeks before Christmas. I called the other company to come up with some sort of temporary solution. They unapologetically offered nothing. I called Obie and was quickly notified of three important things: 1) they offered Daikin furnaces because of their quality, the best warranty in the business (exceeding Trane), and no supply issues, 2) We would be prioritized as an emergency and would be serviced within days, and 3) the cost would be 30% less than the Trane quote. After doing the necessary research on Daikin, which is a quality, highly rated brand, I asked for my deposit back from the other company and went with Obie. The friendly Obie team expertly installed our two-stage, variable speed blower high-efficiency Daikin furnace and Ecobee smart thermostat. The five inch filter they installed has eliminated the dust generated with the older furnace. The smart thermostat uses sensors you can put on each floor to figure out how to keep your home the most comfortable for the least amount of money. You can also adjust your thermostat from anywhere using the Ecobee app. Are the kids cranking the heat up too high while you are away? No problem, just turn it down! With our new Daikin furnace, we are saving money on natural gas every month while being more comfortable than we've ever been. No drafts, no cold spots. No noisy, clanking furnace. Complete, uniform comfort. Obie will help guide you through the rebate and zero-interest loan process. They will also schedule your appointment with the building inspector. If you are reading this, you are probably looking for a new furnace installer in Metrowest Boston. I understand the analysis paralysis that you are facing. I had been thinking about the same thing for years before I finally took action. I only wish I had acted sooner. That's why I am pleased to recommend Obie Comfort Solutions for your furnace installation needs based on my own, real-life experience.

The owner came out for the sales pitch and did a good job explaining etc. When the techs came, none spoke English and appeared to not know what they were doing - i.e. untrained. It took them 2 days to finish the install. I had an issue within a few weeks with the tank-less water heater and they sent their "best" plumber out. The plumber was not happy either and said that the pipes were not installed well and that it was "a mess." At a maintenance session a few years later, the tech told me I did not need to use filters and then proceeded to close up the filter opening. so I could not access it. Needless to say, within 2 years the system was not working, they sent out a repair tech who told me that the coils were filthy and it would need to be replaced. WHAT! Fortunately, they fixed it for free by cleaning it - not replacing it. I guess if you are paying for the repairs there is a different set of standards than if the company is fixing it. It does work, but am crossing my fingers that it will last through the next 6-7 years before I have to replace it. They appear to hire untrained workers hoping that no one will notice. Run away from them before you have a disaster too.

I would never choose this company for oil if I were you. They tell you one thing in person that needs to be done, but then lie on paper and say something different. We have had six guys here, all saying something different, causing a hassle of a mess. Then today, I spoke to Tammy; she was so rude! She didn't care that I had the tech conversation with me on our Ring cam that proves what I'm saying: "I get what you're saying, but it's not what he put on the paper!" I said, "So how come every time a tech comes out here, they lie about what they told me, seeing as it's happened each time?" Her reply was, "I don't know! I'll have to have a talk with them when they come in." I said, "Well, it's getting cold; we have barely any oil and don't want to put oil into the tank, seeing as he told me it would Contaminate it an not work properly! She didn't care, so I went, "Maybe I should have another company come out and look at the tank." She went, "You should, because we no longer want to work with you, and I'll let community action know. I'll email them." I said, "Okay, that's fine," then hung up! They are nothing but rude and never write down what they do on these service calls! I'd stay away! You guys are the worst oil company and so rude. Tammy is beyond rude and makes no sense. Seeing Tammy said it goes by what they wrote, not what they say in person, even though it's on my Ring camera. But we already found a new amazing oil company that doesn't play games and is honest and respectful, unlike your company. Tammy needs a new job, not to tell me she can't go off what I said, even though it happened in front of my Ring camera. None of your techs write accurate notes. So I will let everyone I know to never use your company unless they enjoy rude customer service where you get yelled at! So no need to reply to my updated review, seeing you wasted my family's time with all the lies and no respect! THEIR RESPONSE IS LIES. THEIR TECH LIES! THEY ARE A HORRIBLE COMPANY! THEY TREAT YOU WITH DISRESPECT! I'D REPORT THEM TO THE BBB IF I WERE YOU, OR TO THE STATE! I CAN LAUGH BECAUSE I NEVER MENTIONED COMMITTING FRAUD; I JUST WENT OFF A CONVO WITH THEIR TECH. BUT TAMMY HAS AN ATTITUDE AND WAS SO RUDE. SHE MESSAGES COMMUNITY ACTION TO TELL THEM YOU GUYS NO LONGER WANTED TO WORK WITH US. MATT CALLED TO ASK ME ABOUT IT YESTERDAY! I TOLD HIM HOW RUDE AND EVERYTHING TAMMY WAS TO ME! AND TOLD HIM WE FOUND A NEW COMPANY WHO DOESN'T LIE AND IS HONEST AND KEEPS TRACK OF NOTES! STAY AWAY FROM THEM. THE OWNER IS A JOKE WHO DOESN'T CARE ABOUT YOU AND WHAT HAPPENED. LIKE I SAID, RUN AWAY!
