The pizza here is so tasty and I appreciate that they are offered in multiple sizes! The staff were all very kind, though it was occasionally hard to get their attention. I was not sure if we had a specific server or if everyone helps each table. That being said, we did get everything that we needed! The space is a little small and we were one of several large parties and the ability of the space to transform for a bigger table was impressive! Dewey's might become part of the regular rotation!

Arugula pizza where is the arugula?

Deweys had margarita's now, not cheap but were very good. Had candied walnut salad, always good, then the seasonal pizza my favorite seasonal pizza, however, sadly missed the mark this time. Problem way too much garlic, overly cooked prosciutto, and sparse amount of arugula (see photo below) that did not have lemon-vinegarette dressing (yes I know it should be very light), but this had none. Great service, can't complain, all were very good and nice,

Great pizza, great flavors and options, super flexibility with the menu and pizza themselves, and the staff is polite and efficient. I'd love to see double the space, because it's always crowded, so I honestly don't eat in house often, but their take out prices is usually pretty efficient.

Haven't been here in over a decade because I avoid gluten, but was in the mood for some pizza and noticed they offer gluten free dough. Yay! Had the pig and prosciutto specialty pizza. The jam had a nice unexpected kick to it! Didn't need the red pepper flakes and will know for next time! The strawberry macadamia salad was a really nice pairing with their citrus vinaigrette. Again... hadn't been here in years and was pleased to see it renovated inside offering a nice sit down bar and tvs to catch some sports. Also the pizza was ready on time from my online order so a good experience overall!

The pizza was fire and the service was kind, but a few things threw me off. First, the constant hovering--waitresses were circling our table every few minutes, and one even snatched my brother's plate before he was done. Then when I asked for a box, I was handed four pieces of foil... meanwhile, the couple behind me got a box for just one slice. I'm not making accusations--just stating what happened. It might not seem like a big deal, but when I spend my money, tip well, and enjoy the food, I at least expect a to-go box and the space to eat without feeling watched. Maybe that's their way of being attentive, but it didn't sit right with me. This will be my last time visiting this location.

Amazing PIZZA! My friends and I keep coming back! The pizza here is so good! The Edgar Allen Poe pizza is to die for! The salads here are pretty good as well! The wine here was also pretty good. The service was perfect! They were quick and polite! They always came by to check up and to do refills. The vibes here are nice for family friendly, date night or even friends out for dinner.

They "dew" everything right. Sorry, I couldn't resist the play on words. There is plenty of street parking and public lots close. Welcoming environment and you can watch the kitchen creating magic while you wait. It's a hopping spot so you have to get there early if you don't want to wait for a table. Service was really good and the food was outstanding! I ordered the house salad and this simple mix was so good! The flavors blended well. I chose the bbq chicken pizza and this is the only place I like it. The toppings all work together for a wonderful taste. This is definitely a neighborhood favorite. Check this place out.

Saturday is Pizza night and we decided on Dewey's for carry out. They were running a little behind so we decided to have a drink at the bar. Nice selection of local beers on tap and a decent wine list. You can see the open kitchen from the bar and restaurant. I was a bit surprised that the pizza oven is a conveyor type. We enjoyed our drinks and the conversation with bar staff and other customers. When our pizzas were ready they were kept in the kitchen until we finished our drinks. A nice touch. The Caprese and the Dr Dre pizzas were both good. I would prefer them cooked a little longer. The Caesar Salad was fresh with crisp croutons , shaved Parmesan and tasty dressing.

I don't have a lot of experience with gluten-free baked goods, so it doesn't feel genuine to say that the cupcakes that we have gotten from Britt's Bakehouse are the best gluten-free cupcakes we've had. I do, however, feel confident in stating that the cupcakes we have gotten from Britt's Bakehouse are among the best cakes of ANY kind, gluten-free or not, that we have ever had. We are so happy to have found them, they made my son's first birthday after his diagnosis not just bearable, but really special. He chose the chocolate cake, with chocolate buttercream frosting and birthday sprinkles, and they were outstanding. Moist, rich and delicious, and they were as beautiful to look at as they were to eat - but you'll have to trust me, as I didn't act quickly enough to take a photo before they were all gone. I had a birthday recently as well, and we again ordered cupcakes from Britt's and were again delighted. My choices were chocolate cake with cream cheese frosting, and they were every bit as lovely and delicious as the ones we got for my son. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the shop is located in an easy-to-reach part of Kirkwood, with plenty of free parking nearby. So far, we have only tried their cupcakes, but they have a large and varied menu that we intend to sample soon (the gluten-free donuts look amazing). Give them a try, even if you aren't gluten-free. You won't be disappointed.

We met the owner, she was decently friendly and explained that they are struggling with getting items made this season and they "need a location 3x bigger and much more staff". Because of this, they were out of a lot of items. They luckily did have gift cards though! We decided to buy a couple bakery items since we were already inside. They were just okay, but we aren't gluten free, so that may explain why they tasted a bit more chalky than your typical dessert. Not sure, but our family friend loves it!

Our bartender was very attentive (which was expected as there were only two other couples at the bar). A couple of French 75's and a nice bottle of Rose was just the right choice. If you've never tried the Chili-Rubbed wings, do yourself a favor and go there soon....goodness personified! Everything was delicious and we got to watch some women's collegiate volleyball in TV. Why volleyball? Well....why not? The only detractor from this overall, near perfect experience, was a longer than expected delay in getting those yummy mushrooms. This could be due to a kitchen staffing shortage or the bartender may have forgotten to ring order in....hey, it happens! But once we took that first bite and tasted that boursin cheese, Italian sausage with parmesan inside.....wait, what wait? I'm drooling right now thinking about it. One 19 North is definitely one of our top 3 places to eat in Kirkwood!

I had my first dinner of my stay at Olive + Oak, and it blew me away from the moment I laid my eyes on it. From the unsuspecting street outside, the giant windows glow with the warm, sparkling light from within. An elegant dining room with a beautiful bar and a good amount of hustle and bustle. I felt like I was at an upscale New Orleans joint. Very cozy. Service was just as beautiful. Our server was extremely nice, new the menu backwards and forwards, and rattled off the nightly specials without hesitation. And on top of all of that, when we were getting some stuff to-go, she threw in more bread for us! You can't train that level of service. That's just a good person. Onto the food. We started off with the Blue Crab Gratin (calabrian chili, celery + pretzel bread). This was ooey, gooey, cheesy, delicious, had a fair amount of crab in it, had a nice little kick, and the sliced, crunchy pretzel bread dippers were exquisite. Something seasonal that isn't on their menu anymore, we ordered an Okonomiyaki, which is a savory Japanese pancake, basically, covered in sauce. Wow, this thing was done well. Very reminiscent of the authentic thing I've had in Japan. Very nice. Another dish that isn't on the menu anymore, the Catfish dish. It was slightly Asian and on top of some sort of risotto rice. I can't remember exactly, but I do remember that it was very well cooked, had a nice char. An eclectic dish that came together very nicely. I also got to try some of the Rabbit Crepe (port wine braised rabbit, blueberry, fennel, arugula + kenny's bleu gouda crepe). Some people might shudder at the idea of eating rabbit. Those people need to grow up. Rabbit is one of the most succulent, delicious meats out there, and in this wonderful flavor combination, in a crepe. This chef is genius. I could have downed two of these things. We finished off the night with the recommended Cloud Cake (vanilla chiffon cake, coconut pastry cream, coconut + whipped cream icing). This thing was de-ca-dent. A nice, thicc sponge, a very coconuty cream, and a whipped icing with lots of coconut pulp in it. So heavenly. Overall, my socks were blown off. Not only does St. Louis have good food, this was a better meal than I had in Nashville and Kansas City. Who would have guessed. I would love to come back.

We shared mussels, the beet salad, the soup flight, and the pot roast. Everything was good and tasted well prepared. The mussel broth was flavorful. The soups were excellent. The pumpkin and pear soup leaned toward a dessert profile but fit the season perfectly. The beet salad was not the typical style. The beets had a crisp texture you do not usually see, but the flavor was good and the goat cheese worked well. The pot roast was also solid with tender meat and plenty of flavor. Dessert was the coconut chocolate pie. It had sliced almonds that added some crunch and the portion was large enough to share. Drinks included the brandy margarita and the elderflower gimlet. Both were fine but the margarita was the standout. The cognac note gave it a deeper flavor. Overall, a pleasant dinner with good food and a cozy setting. I would return. This is the perfect spot to bring pretty much everybody, maybe not vegan, but plenty of options for vegetarians and pescatarians. A crowd pleaser. 4/5 because although it's good and solid.
