If I could give a review a zero star I would! This is by far the worst experience I've ever had! I can't believe at we got only our drink and we're waiting over an hour for sandwiches and wings! The people behind us had sat 15 to 20 minutes before us and still had no food. The communication was awful! Waiter didn't care at all he giggled and said Sunday wait is 45 min to an hour. Well we then waited more and the manager said sorry we have a party of 40 we are a little backed up. The management was unenthusiastic and acted unsure, he came by at the 48 minute mark and when we complained he just said I'm sorry we have a large party. He brought us a round of drinks and the drinks were tasty no issue there. The drinks were a little pricey but even that would t have been an issue! We waited prob 15 to 20 minutes just to see someone long enough to figure out drinks and food. Never once were we told of the outrageous ticket times! I wouldn't wait 45 minute ticket time in a 5 star NYC restaurant so you can image I was in shock! We left after an hour and 20 minutes since we had ordered food and it still had not come. Being at least 1 other table was before us it was not worth us trying to wait! Chicken wings Mac & cheese and a po boy are not worth it. We were so accommodating and we tried to wait but unfortunately this restaurant could not make right by us. If I can help anyone I'd tell them go any where else in town bc the restaurant acoustics were awful, the restaurant says jazz bar but the place was way too loud! read more

Very let down. For all of the positive reviews, I thought this would be better. For one, there is no jazz music here. I enjoyed the hop hop that was played, but if you're advertising for a jazz lunge, shouldn't a little jazz be played? I ordered the steak, my wife ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich. We each had a Long Island that were incredibly weak tasting. My wife's chicken sandwich was luke warm and her potatoes were cold. Steak was good, but we both finished our meals and we're currently still waiting for her remade potatoes. For the mistake we were hoping for maybe a comp of some sort. Instead I got a 79 dollar bill for very lack luster food. I will say that the way the restaurant is designed is very nice, but that's about it for us. read more

Loved the ambiance, the music (live 3-piece jazz band on a Saturday nite), the food... just need to have a little more attentiveness when it comes to the service. We definitely would have ordered another scoop of ice cream to go with our delicious peach egg rolls (forgot the name but they are delectable with cinnamon sugar doused on them!) but never was able to ask the waiter. My partner had the catfish which was melt-in-your-mouth incredible, paired with an amazing type of tartar sauce! My Mac and cheese came in a bowl instead of baked in the mini skillet like the picture...and salmon was pretty good but super duper seared to the point of blackened-ness. Enjoyed the evening overall and definitely recommend! read more

Was in the Springfield area last weekend and went to Dewey's Jazz Lounge. Great food and vibe. I ordered A Wonderful World and my cousin had the Autumn Leaves drink. Both were amazing and I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area. The DJ was on point! read more

Kenny is the best restauranteur in Springfield, so that's why I only ever choose Dewey's when I want those good R&B vibes. Service is great, food & drinks are amazing, and ambiance is other-worldly! read more

Went to Dewey's for the first time with some friends to grab a few drinks this past Saturday and I was impressed. The last time I had been in the building was back over 10 years ago when it was the old Fat Cats, and I really couldn't believe the transformation. The atmosphere was fun but relaxed, and the specialty drinks were great especially for the reasonable prices and for all the effort that the bartenders (Jazz and Paul) put into them. I'd love to come back when there is live music and also get food the next time I'm there. It's great to see Worthington street come alive again, and this place definitely is a great addition. read more

See all

Just an overall vibe. The live music was excellent. They sang songs that everybody loves. Everybody was friendly from the bar to the owner. Loved it here. If you're ever in town, I highly recommend. read more

This may be one of the best places to eat in Springfield at the moment. They have a large outdoor dining area in a really nice and newly renovated outdoor space downtown. I had the strip steak, which was perfectly done. The catfish was also fantastic, and sweet potato pie for desert. The weather was nice too. One of the best dining experiences I have had in Springfield. read more

Not sure if I caught this place on a slow day but it's definitely one of those places you post on Instagram for the looks. The food was decent, we ordered the calamari and it came to our table cold, the salmon on my Caesar salad was tasteless. when entering the establishment we weren't greeted and my partner and I stood at the host desk for 5min before someone came and told us to sit anywhere ( mind you there was no one in the dining room and the bar only had 3 guest). The service was decent. read more

Great vibe, delicious cocktails, amazing live music, and attentive staff. This is a wonderful addition to downtown Springfield and definitely the coolest place in the area! read more

Jenna! The bartender that makes the BEST drink ever! Ask for the "Kiss of Fire"! Ammmmmmmaaaaaaazzzzzing!

Amazing! The service was good, the drinks were amazing (I had a French Quarter and a Billie's Holiday), highly recommend the churro French toast with Nutella. If you can hit them when they have sweet potato pie available, do it! It was the best pie (any flavor) I have had! read more

Went last night with a group of friends. This place is amazing. Different levels, areas and bars. Live music was excellent. The vibe is contemporary but definitely a place for all generations of folks. There is no place like it in Springfield or western MA. Check it out! read more

Great food in a lovely dining space with an upstairs area that looks over the ground floor. Nice live music is often a good complement to the cuisine but never too loud for table conversation. The staff brings your eats and drinks quickly and we've had a good experience each time we've gone there. read more

Was walking down Worthington Street after dinner at the 350 Grill and heard live music. Was in the area for a conference with colleagues and we stopped in to check it out. The woman playing keyboards was wonderful and the place was cozy and welcoming. Only had drinks, but what a fun find! read more

We tried this place for the first time. Made reservations. We got there at 545pm we didn't get our drinks until 630. We ordered our food before getting drinks and it was 715 no food. My friend asked the waiter to bring food that is ready because we had an 8pm show. He bring food and it was cold . It's as if he forgot and if my friend didn't tell him we would of never got food then he cancelled the rest because he assumed we wanted to cancel so some of us didn't get to eat dinner . It was very upsetting. I really want to like the place but not worth getting cold food after and hour. read more

I stopped by Dewey's Jazz Lounge last Friday after work. The plan was just to grab a cocktail with my friends and head home for dinner. That so didn't happen! My party of 2 and I had so much fun we stayed to enjoy more than a couple of extremely well-made cocktails and dinner. The entire staff was welcoming and informative. The food was amazing, expertly prepared and carefully presented. The live jazz music combined with diverse friendly patrons made the night magical. We will return and hope to see you there! read more

Nice ambience jazz was really great but the food was mid range. It came out really fast which was nice the waitress was super pleasant l, got the fast food-ey for me. Still it was a good time out for our anniversary, I would go back again tho. read more

Our server, Bella, was incredible. She catered to our needs and provided amazing service! The bartender, Paul, was impressive! Great atmosphere. Good music, and even better drinks!! Our bartender Jenna was friendly and fast, drinks were on point!

Rachel was an amazing bartender. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and taste profiles of customers. She was able to accommodate my party even with a later arrival and in the process of closing. I appreciate her patience and amazing customer service. Will absolutely be coming back here for her amazing people skills and smile. Thanks Rachel read more

Great atmosphere, great music, and awesome french fries!! Also, their espresso martinis are made with Monsoon Roastery espresso beans :D

Xavier and Rachel makes the best drinks while their dance and lip sync skills are on point! Come hang and you won't be disappointed!

First time at Dewey's last night for a couple of drinks with friends and it had a great vibe! Bartenders Jazz and Paul were awesome, super attentive to detail and made fantastic drinks. Even when it got busy the staff worked together and everything flowed well. A great environment, would love to come back and try the food soon too! read more

Never been here before. Group of six. I had Eggs Shakshuka (so?). I have always wanted to try it...it was fantastic. Everyone else had a great time. Drinks seem quite expensive...$12.00 Bloody Mary. There was a wonderful singer. I came back to hear her. Our server, Stephen, was superb. He was everything you would want in a server...efficient, affable, knowledgeable. Would recommend this place and will be back. read more

THIS PLACE IS SO IMMACULATE. From the food to the service to the atmosphere I am genuinely in love with this place. Dewey's Jazz Lounge is more than just a place to dine in & eat. You can feel the energy beaming throughout the restaurant and I'm so happy I got to experience it. 10/10. read more

Dewey's Jazz Lounge - Cocktail Bars Near Me - Springfield, Massachusetts

We were a group of six and all had such a good time. We had brunch with excellent live music and delicious food. Our cutie waiter Stephen was awesome and attentive. I'm from Boston and think Dewey's is as good or better than any restaurant I could find in Boston read more

I love this place so much, we frequent on the regular, if you are looking for a whole vibe with a great atmosphere, go to Dewey's and you won't be disappointed. Between the live entertainment, great food, and friendly staff, this is one place I will always patronize. Springfield needed just this and I'm sure the whole community would agree! read more

It's my first time at this establishment. The service is top tier and they're very attentive, friendly, & sufficient. Even though Springfield is down because of Covid this place definitely picks up. 10/10 read more

Dewey's is by far the best place in all of Springfield! GREAT TVS for the games and the live music is always electric! Can't go wrong listening to some nice jazz and catching a baseball game on tv at the same time! 10/10 highly recommend!! read more

I would love to give this place five stars, because of all its strengths, but we waited an hour for our meal to come and not everything came out at the same time. Our coffee was cold when they served it and the Garden Frittata was so dry and overdone we could barely cut with a knife. The tab for just brunch was 160 including tip. If you want to charge that much I feel like the food and coffee to be should be hot, frittata to be soft enough to cut easily with a knife, and all the food should all be brought out at the same time so we could eat at the same time as the other guests at our table. Service wasn't attentive although they all seemed nice. This place does have a lot of strengths. Cool set up. Menu has vegan and vegetarian options. Creative cocktail menu. The energy is welcoming and the servers are sweet. I would hesitate before coming here again, but it may have just been an off day. Still wishing them much success and I am glad they are here. read more

It was an unexpected cool vibe! The cocktails and food were tasty. I'd visit this spot again.

This place has such a cool, inclusive vibe. Went on a Saturday night. It was busy. Music was great. Bartender's were really attentive and the drinks are really creative. It's not a place you'll feel intimidated if you are a little older. Would highly recommend checking it out. read more

My husband and I celebrated our 20th anniversary last month and decided to bring 40 guests with us to the "after party" at Dewey's. Our reservation was for 20 people, but they were kind enough to let us all sit on the patio and enjoy a delightful evening of cocktails and brunch items. Considering that they were busy inside and weren't expecting our very large group, I thought they handled it with grace and ease. The servers were accommodating and pleasant. The owner came out and explained that the food would take a little longer (given our large and unexpected crowd)...my group was happy just sitting outside, enjoying cocktails and celebrating with friends. When the food arrived, out of 40 orders, I think there was only one mix-up. Thank you Kenny and Sophie for making our day extra special and for treating us like royalty. We highly recommend Dewey's for the hospitality, cocktails and a really cool vibe. read more

Really nice place. Atmosphere was great and loved the band mass confusion. Waitress was nice. Paid 20% gratuity plus tax on each of our checks because there were 6 of us. I ordered 2 martinis and was charged an extra $1 on one and extra $2 on the other one because it's made with Tito's even though I specifically said I don't like Tito's. I had to pay extra for a drink that's made with Tito's. The drinks were not strong and my lemon drop martini was not clear had been mixed with some sweet lemon flavor which just diluted the drink and made it taste sugary. The 10oz steak that cost $34 was over cooked and dry. The grits I originally received had some kind of orange seasoning that tasted like hot sauce was in it. It was disgusting. I wanted regular white grits with butter n salt. Not a remake that's not stated on the menu. I requested the mash potatoes instead and they were no better. They were dry with no butter or salt. No flavor at all tasted like box potatoes with no flavor. They also ran out of collard greens. I was very excited to try this restaurant and was very disappointed with the food and portion sizes that did not match the prices they charge. I really hope they start explaining to their guests the extra charges before guests order and receive their checks. Nice experience, but would not return for dinner or bartender made drinks. read more

Went here with my husband and the atmosphere of the place was great. The staff were friendly and very welcoming. The food was okay as we sat in for dinner on the second floor. I hear great things about this place and I am sure this business will continue to strive and grow within the city of Springfield. I would recommend and visit again. read more
