Experience extraordinaire at Dewey's Jazz Lounge Supper Club. Jazzmunn curated a splendid menu consisting of citrus salad, butternut squash soup, steak over mashed potatoes and a wonderful pear dessert. Wonderful wine pairing in partnership with Glendale Ridge Vineyard @glendaleridgevineyard with Mary and Ed Hamel. Great to be with a group of like minded foodies! Service was spot on. I had the pleasure of visiting Dewey's Lounge twice in one week. Sunday for a birthday brunch upstairs, and Friday for a Birthday Dinner downstairs. I was very impressed with the staff and how friendly they all were. They were able to manipulate through the different orders at the table correctly. They were very knowledgeable about the menu which makes it easier when ordering with large groups. I liked the French toast for the brunch menu. The eggs were a bit on the salty side but I did add cheese. The home fries weren't a huge fan of the table. I ordered the Kiss of Fire Margarita which was great! I particularly liked the Teriyaki Wings and ordered them both times. A few others ordered different types of Mac and cheese which was a hit! Friday night we celebrated one of my very best friend's from high school's birthday. Lucky for US, there was a live band and an awesome singer, SimoneMone, who we absolutely loved! We had so much fun singing along with her and dancing with her! She was so much fun! We definitely look forward to another fun night at Dewey's!!! read more

Ventured to western mass for a hockey game, and glad we popped into this spot! My preferred ambiance of dark lit, fun colors, and good music. Sat upstairs and was nice and quiet! Brussels were perfect amount of crunch, and loved the glaze. Caesar salad was phenomenal, the best croutons I've ever had on a salad to boot! Lol. Boyfriend enjoyed his burger, and brother loved the chicken dinner. Definitely recommend, a little pricey but overall enjoyed our meals! Just shoot for street parking not the lot across the street $$ read more

During our visit to Springfield MA we were looking for a black owned restaurant. We were so thankful to find Dewey's Jazz Lounge! The drinks, food, service and atmosphere were all amazing! Our waitress Destiny was such a pleasure to talk to! Since it was our first time visiting, she gave us suggestions and made us feel welcome...WE HAD A GREAT TIME! Definitely a great place to visit read more

My husband and I came here on Sunday for our 2 year anniversary. I totally did not know that the only menu available on Sundays is the brunch menu! I was looking forward to trying the mac and cheese! We ended up ordering wings and the brunch burger. My husband tried the black lavender mojito and I had a regular one. It took 45+ minutes for our food to come out. The restaurant wasn't that crowded so I'm not sure why it took so long but our waitress apologized for the delay. I would've liked a complimentary dessert to make up for the wait or even as a "Happy Anniversary" gesture since I included that in the notes with my reservation. Besides that, we loved the live jazz music which is one of the reasons why we chose Dewey's. Besides the fact that our food took so long, I also felt uncomfortably cold. We were seated towards the back away from the door where people were entering but there was a draft and Springfield's weather is no joke! Overall, it was definitely a cool ambience with the live music. I liked the couches and decor around the restaurant as well. read more

I loved the couches, but that was my only love. The bartender seemed upset that we sat down at the bar. I like craft cocktails and wanted to know their specialities and that clearly was not something that we were going to share dialogue on. I was kind of bummed about the service because I did like the vibe of the place. It had a wonderful jazz lounge feel. read more

Ambiance is nice, but food and service were very poor. Our group of 10 ordered a variety of things, and the food was a miss for multiple dishes. Pulled pork Benedict was extremely over cooked and dry; no hollandaise sauce for the benedict. Steak was literally served cold. The chicken was so dry we didn't eat it. Sandwich was requested without pickles, it showed up w pickles. Chicken seemed like it was a day old. Forget substituting white bread for whole wheat, they don't carry it. Shocking for a restaurant serving brunch. As for service, an entire dish was forgotten by the server. It took her 15 mins & 3 reminders to bring out a dipping sauce- and all of this was while there's only one other table occupied, besides us, in the entire restaurant. Lost crew didn't have any idea what items were available and what wasn't, and poor management. It was an unfortunate experience. We had gone to celebrate a birthday and about $500 dollars later we were sad about our restaurant choice. I generally prefer to support black owned businesses, bur unfortunately this one I do NOT recommend. read more

Food and service from Dakota was perfect. He took the time to explain a few of the dishes and drinks. We had a crab cake app and lobster eggs Benedict & a chicken Caesar salad. Delicious! For drinks we had the Kiss of death & in the palm of my hands, two specialty drinks that were delicious also. A good way to spend the Sunday afternoon! read more

Cool little place I came for an early dinner before there was any live music (if there is on a Wednesday). Got a drink...no complaints....and had the shrimp and grits. Pretty good for something from a northeast US establishment. Interesting combination of tomato sauce? Grits were excellent. 4-5 large shrimp. Good meal. Service was a little slow but nice. A good place for an easygoing meal. Some reviews mentioned the sound level and it is not quiet by any means. They have jazz playing and it is not loud but not quiet/low either. Not offensive but if you want quiet I would say go elsewhere read more

Came to this place on a Friday night for a date. WOW. Ambiance: cozy and elegant. They didn't have live music but the background music was easy listening and not too loud. It was snowing outside and a comfortable temperature inside. Food: get the burger. And the sweet potato pie. Both were SO good. We also had the crab dip and chicken fried steak, which were both delicious. I had a mocktail mojito and my husband had their famous "Billie's Holiday" cocktail. They were both great! He loved the limoncello in his. He also had the margarita - the drink of the month - and said it was very good. Service: Valencia was our server and she was wonderful! She was very attentive but not overbearing. The food came out promptly and it was a comfortable meal that lasted ~ 2 hours for an app, drinks, entree, dessert and coffee. We will definitely be back! Ps. Lots of metered parking one street over read more

Live jazz, The new orleans style band that was playing this night I came here was awesome. They were upstairs on the 2nd floor. The lounge is great for a date, chill with some friends, just to get great drinks or a bite of upscale bar food/comfort food. The menu has a limited selection. I do wish they had a lot more options but it's like a quick bite menu. Maybe it was the time of night I went. It might of been late night menu idk. The service was good and it was a great vibe dim lit and chill areas. I would def chill here again if in area. read more

Had a great brunch at Dewey's! The shrimp and grits was fantastic. Very flavorful, decent amount of large shrimp, grits were creamy and the portion size was perfect. Paired this with the apple cider mimosa, also delicious. The bartender was attentive and personable. The owner stepped in and helped when it started picking up, that was great to see and he was also very nice. Looking forward to coming back! Billie's Holiday, Louis's Lemonade, Duke's Margarita--the cocktail list at Dewey's Lounge is as much of an homage to the golden age of jazz as the set list itself, which highlights regional artists including Malado!, the Eric Bascom Trio, and the Jeremy Turgeon Quintet. Based in downtown Springfield on Worthington Street--the heart of the growing Dining District--Dewey's Lounge is the latest in culinary and cocktail artistry in the region. Chicken and waffles? Check. Raspberry cheesecake pancakes? Check. House-made limoncello, ice cream, and barrel-aged spirits? Check. Dewey's has got it all. Opening on June 12, the restaurant, bar, and live music venue features full-service dining, two bar areas, a mezzanine-level performance stage, and an impressive 1,500-square foot outside dining patio. Sized for 150 guests, Dewey's is sure to please a wide variety of patrons, from the craft cocktail lover and jazz aficionado to the bougie foodie and nightlife adventurer. I visited during the soft launch and tried a number of cocktails... all were delicious! I especially enjoyed Lady Ella and Billie's Holiday. Great music venue, and I can't wait to try brunch! read more

I was going to give this place two stars, but I didn't want my anger from Friday night to cloud my judgement. This place has a nice ambiance, the drinks are hit or miss and the food is good but it can get expensive. If you want a nice sit-down dinner for two to four people, then it seems like they can accommodate you. If you want to reserve a table for a party of 6 or more, I would think twice. Just get food from the bar or go to their sister restaurant (really cute and great drinks). The server that we had Friday night for our retirement dinner didn't do a good job. She told us we couldn't split the bill and we had to calculate it ourselves. We did and she still didn't get it right... Whenever I asked her about the bill, she refused to correct it. I get that she might have been overwhelmed, but a more experienced server would have asked their manager for help. I take responsibility too, because I should have asked for a manager immediately. If you want ambiance, good food, and good service that is consistent and similar to this place, I'd recommend going to Gombo's in Northampton. read more

Really cool spot - I definitely want to return for a night where they have live jazz. I went to grab a quick bite on NYE for dinner with my husband and our little one. Service was good, we were the only ones at the time. I know they had an event later that night so I'm sure many people were getting ready for the NYE festivities. We ordered a few different things: I got the kiss of fire - very very good. My husband got an old fashioned - also very good! As long as an old fashioned is served with a large cube you're OK in our book. For food we shared: The Brussel sprouts - delicious, flavorful, crispy Mac and Cheese - verrrryyy cheesy, so good Truffle fries - these were the least impressive but the sauce that came with it was really good. read more

Dewey's Jazz Lounge - "It's a wonderful world"-sweet, delicious drink - Cocktail Bars Near Me - Springfield, Massachusetts

Updated review: Went to Dewy's for the first time and I am so happy that Kenny brought this establishment to Springfield. Customer service: this was impeccable from the minute I walked in I was welcomed with a warm greeting from Natalie to when I sat at the bar speaking with Tim. They were naturals!! So professional and so welcoming I felt right I home. I'm I guy that is horrible with names so for me to remember them after one visit is saying something. Even Kenny came by to see if we wanted a tour of the place! Food: we got the teriyaki chicken wings and sweet potato pie. The wings were hot and most importantly crispy!! The sauce was to die for and addicting! As for the sweet potato pie, a little piece of me went to heaven. After one bit I felt like I was sitting at Kenny's grandmothers house. Drinks: I ordered Mongo's Mojito, it was beautifully made by Tim and delicious! I can't wait to try all the other creative drinks on the menu! Live music: how can you not love live music?! The vibe was great and I will be back!! read more

We came last week and were met by smiling hostesses. The bartenders, Andrew (he's worth coming back to, just for him) and Caray who make a great Frence Martini. They also made a mojito and for once my husband didnt complain. Lol. I love flavors martinis, however, Dewey's make their own syrups and it might be better to have purees as they made the martinis taste more like sugar than a cocktail. They're syrups are overly sweet with little flavor. Caray made me a French martini that was great. The ambience in Dewey's is amazing. There are a few reasons why I couldn't give it 5 stars. One was the lack of choices for flavored drinks (their syrups are too sugary and lacking flavor) The steak was very good, it was tender and flavorful as was the salmon. The mashed potatoes lacked flavor and was a bit too thick for my liking, but there might be some who loves overly thick mash. I also ordered bread pudding which was not good. It tasted like a cinnamon roll and was too firm. My husband love it because he loves cinnamon rolls. The cream was whipped perfectly and was not too sweet a great compliment. I would recommend this place, it's new, trendy, great Jazz, an excellent staff. The food is good with a nice presentation. My French Martini was excellent. The bartenders very personable. I would definitely revisit Dewey's. Thumbs up to the owner. read more

This place comes alive with the Friday night performing artists. The drinks were ok and the food tasted good... but both my gf and I threw up our food after leaving; so order at your own risk. (We both had 2 drinks, if that matters) Other than that the atmosphere at this place is unmatched, especially while the DJ navigating the ambience. Bottom line, you'll have a good time, definitely a drink and vibe kind of spot. read more

We were really looking forward to seeing some jazz here, and we drove all the way down from Amherst to check it out. When we arrived the host wasn't sure if there was any music that night so we figured we just get dinner and see. A DJ ended up playing. The food was good but not awesome, which is disappointing considering the prices are pretty elevated so we were expecting higher quality. I will probably try it out again but more for a cocktail and live music vibe then for dinner. read more

Went to Dewey's to sit outside to enjoy the Jazz Festival, paid $200 (for 4 people) for 1 rum punch(was good) and a buffet...the patio was nice.. Kudos to Steven and Xavier, they get 5Stars!!! However, the food was horrible ... the only thing that was good the salad. The cod was dry, jambalaya was terrible, rice was hard, not well cooked. Amazing time.. went to celebrate my birthday with my girlfriends, such a good vibe right from the beginning starting with the door host. He was so friendly and very personable. Everyone was so nice and friendly, our waitress was AMAZING!!Our food was held up due to a large party upstairs so the owner came over (did you hear what I said) the owner came over and apologized and compensated us all with a drink for the inconvenience. The food was EXCELLENT,the drinks were BOMB!, the atmosphere was giving me city vibes (loved it) the singer and band was AMAZING!!!! Thank you so much, Angie!! Best waitress I've had. You took great care of our party. We had a great time and felt very welcomed.

We recently visited for dinner while on a trip, and had a very pleasant experience. The ambiance and decor gives soulful vibes, which we loved. We started with the truffle fries, which were surprisingly amazing for French fries, I wish I had some right now lol. We also enjoyed chicken and shrimp Cajun pasta. No complaints, my partner said the shrimp were perfect and the chicken and sauce were also well seasoned and cooked. To drink, my partner had the Fly me to The Moon, 2 of them lol so that was a great choice. Definitely recommend! read more

I was in town for a concert that got canceled and someone recommended that I check out Dewey's. I couldn't have dreamed up a better experience to rescue my evening! A Black-owned, live Jazz lounge with authentic soul food was just what we needed to feel good about having left the house on a cold February night. While we didn't have a reservation, a little patience got us two seats at the upstairs bar. We had a great view of the band. Hubby and I went here for date night and were excited to listen to live music and relax. Our server was horrible. We waited 30 minutes for water and our drinks and our server told us it was due to a line at the bar. Well we were looking at the bar and there was no line, we also watched people that were seated after us get their drinks and water before us, but with a different server (go figure). When we finally did get our drinks it's because I tracked down another server and they brought it to us. After 45 minutes with no appetizers having been delivered and our server hadn't event taken our dinner order- we left. So much for a nice dinner on date night. read more
