We haven't found an eyeglasses store in NYC with a wider variety of options for kids glasses - and it makes a HUGE difference to find glasses that actually fit little heads and leave kids comfortable. My daughter really likes the fact that she wears glasses when other kids don't - and an important part of that feeling is the fun she has when we come to this store and try out literally dozens of the hundreds of options that fit her. We have a rule that we both have to like any pair of glasses she picks so that we don't end up with something neon pink. Yes, you do have to make an appointment here, but you get full attention *during* your appointment. And the staff person we've worked with to get glasses for my daughter here has been patient and helpful finding options. Finally, though many of the options are higher end, the prices are more reasonable than other places we've been in NYC. read more

Please do NOT trust your childs eye health to this store. My child's transition lenses were made incorrectly. This negatively effected her school work and everyday activities. We didn't realize until we went back to the eye doctor 6 months later, she had terrible results on her exam and the doctor realized her prescription was completely wrong! My very highly recommended eye practice actually removed them from the recommendation list. Stay Away! read more

We were beyond happy with visiting this place! It started with a very welcoming atmosphere and friendly salesperson, Anicia. I was coming to get new glasses for my 5 year old and have always had mixed reviews for other places. The biggest draw was the WIDE variety and selection of glasses for kids; WOW! In so many optical places, the selection is very limited; not so here. They even have a separate location across the street for kids; amazing! The sales associate was so kind, helpful, and patiently allowed us to go through our process to find the just right pair. Lastly, even though we paid in full, you could put down "whatever you feel comfortable with" as a deposit; what great customer service. read more

The worst experience! Beware! First time customer. I went there and ordered my daughter glasses, requesting for them to be ready on September 7th, they said possibly, might be hard with the holiday. Understood. Called September 12th, glasses weren't in. Called September 14th they were in. I said I would come down either Friday/Saturday and asked if I needed an appointment. They said no. On Saturday, September 16th we arrive around 1PM to a gated storefront, with a note "we will be closed on 9/15 and 9/16 due to unfortunate events, we will reopen on Tuesday, September 19th". While we were there another parent shows up, shocked at the note and said this was the 2nd time this happened to her! So I called on Tuesday shared my frustration they said they tried calling customers but apparently not me or the other woman. I asked when I could come in, she said I don't know, we are canceling all appointments through Friday - maybe Saturday. She said I am sick w bronchitis and am in the store today and was in the ER 3 days ago, someone has covid and someone has a sprained ankle. I said I am very sorry that you are sick, I am sorry that you are in there today. I said I would like a discount for my inconvenience for going down there and you were closed and now you don't know when you will reopen and I am waiting another week. What is the name and emails she said that will be about 3 weeks, he doesn't care. He doesn't care at all, he is the only one who can authorize a discount and went off yelling at me (a first time customer) I am sick, I have 50 kids waiting for glasses, I shouldn't be here and I don't need this. You want a discount (I asked for $30)you'll wait 3 more weeks yelling and screaming at me, I said I don't want to wait she said well that's it then - I will just cancel your order. I was stunned - I said fine cancel she said - don't ever come back to this store again! Trust me, I won't I have never experienced a situation like this, I felt badly that she was sick, but the way I was treated as a customer I cannot believe! Now it's almost a month later and I have to start all over with finding glasses. read more

Do NOT waste your time making the trek here with a child. The young lady working there when we visited at 4pm on a Saturday had zero experience fitting toddlers for glasses. She just kept asking us what we had in mind and when I asked her if she thought that a couple of pairs we tried on fit, she didn't know. She just said that the glasses go by size. I could just have gone online if I wanted no service. I'm nervous enough about finding the right fit for my 2 year old as I have terrible judgment with those kinds of things, and our experience was absolutely infuriating. We came here to get kids glasses. The gentleman that helped us was patient. He grabbed many styles for my son to try on. We were looking for a pair that was durable and stylish while trying to get my son to sit still. He was running around the store so it took awhile but we were never rushed. Although we had to depend on our own judgment in fitting him for frames. The service was friendly and efficient. The glasses was ready in less than a week. read more

Elvis was amazingly patient with myself and my 5 year old looking for glasses. He took out every and any combination of glasses while happy to show me endless choices. Their prices were reasonable and they worked hard to get me my daughters glasses rushed. The man who seemed to be the owner was lovely to work with, was sweet with my daughter and followed up with me multiple times and immediately once the glasses arrived on time as planned. I was looking for a place to take my 4 year old daughter to get her first pair of glasses. After a not so great experience at another glasses store, I was so pleased with the service here that I was inspired to write my first review! This store has a huge selection of stylish and colorful children's eye wear. I could tell that the staff had plenty of experience with kids. Dr. Gelber, the optician who is on site once a week, gave my daughter an eye exam and gave me lots of practical advice on having a child with glasses. Leanne and John were both so patient and friendly that it immediately put my child at ease. Leanne kept her entertained with toys, while making sure that the little glasses, bridge and temple fit perfectly. We get our 7year olds glasses here. They have always been friendly, efficient, and have a nice selection. Minor repairs always done quickly and with minimal cost. My daughter broke her glasses today so we'll be there to get a new pair later! read more
