I'm not kidding you when I say I spent three hours with him last week trying on almost every pair in the store whilst having such a great conversation about everything under the sun. Paul never once pressured me or rushed me and when I was getting ready to leave without purchasing a pair he didn't even seem annoyed. I did ultimately wind up buying a pair that day with progressive transition lenses and everything came out perfect! Read the other reviews and you will see mentions of Paul and what a great person he is. Buying an (in my case) expensive pair of eyeglasses is already a very stressful situation. You want to make sure you're making the right choice and it's not always possible to know just from trying on a pair in the store whether or not you're ultimately gonna like them. At the very least, having a great sales person to help you through the process makes the experience so much more enjoyable, and puts you at ease. Go in to Caserta, check out some amazing new and vintage frames and have a conversation with a native New Yorker who knows his stuff! I'm gonna start saving up for a return visit because once I got past the stress of finding the pair I ultimately purchased, I felt freed up mentally to find a few more pairs and hey, I'll probably just pop in to say hi sometime, too! That's the kind of special experience you get from Paul at Caserta Eye.

I forgot her name but the first doctor I saw was really fantastic with the exam. I had a ton of concerns cause I know less than 12 year olds about contacts and she was so reassuring. I then had some training done with Vanessa. Vanessa is so sweet! The other plus with iLook - I got soft contacts and compared the prices between iLook and 1800 contacts and iLook proved to be cheaper actually! Even my mom wants to see them now.

I always find the service to be friendly and personalized. Irwin has been my go-to person. Prescription lenses typically take just over a week to be ready, which is quite standard. One cautionary note: I wouldn't bring horn frames here. Mine cracked along both rims a couple of weeks after I got them back, quite likely due to the lenses not being etched down sufficiently, although I cannot prove it. They were kind to have new lenses put in a plastic frame for no additional charge. iLook does warn of the risk of breakage of horn frames, but for plastic or metal frames, you can rely on their great service and professionalism.
