I was so disappointed as i was keeping my car although it was a total loss. The owner of this shop felt sorry for me and acted conscientiously and put my car back together, and even washed it to return to me at no charge. He repeated he would not do an estimate and that USAA did their own.I was so flustered!!! Never have I dealt with anyone so rude. I am a 72 year old woman and felt exactly the way women say auto mechanics treat women. I was hoping to ask him to help me put some water in my radiator as I couldn't open my hood due to severe arthritis in my hands but the way he humiliated me I didn't take the time, just drove my car off as he so rudely told me to do. Roadrunner Towing was called out and when they got to the home where the car was being dropped off at, the tow truck driver charged them $395 in cash. My daughter and two others tried to use their cards, but they were told the system was down for cards. Seems VERY suspect. Then I call today and was quoted $120 for a tow 1 mile or less. I told the lady that my kids were charged $395 in cash last night and then she said "oh yeah, that's the price if police make the call." I bet! That's totally BS and she knows it. If anything the police would have a better rate, not a more expensive one. I know what the driver did and she does too. He took advantage of a situation, demanded cash and now is hiding behind "policy". I'm a small business owner and know how to treat a customer, and Roadrunner Towing in Yucaipa should be ashamed of themselves for what they did to kids. I certainly will not ever give business to shady companies like this.
