Needing a break from Mai Tias and beach decor? Inside deVine Wine Lounge you will find upscale, modern, and mature atmosphere. The wine list goes far beyond what you will find at a hotel bar. It comes by the glass or bottle. The menu included orange wine, bubbles, alcohol removed, old and new world wines. Charcuterie and small plates round out the experience. The service is friendly, helpful, and well paced for visiting with your group. The setting looks best for groups of 2-5. deVine is in Azeka Shopping Center facing S Kihei Rd. Map apps may try to send you to a back corner of the mall parking lot so keep an eye out and don't miss it.

Amazing wines, great service, delicious charcuterie boards and awesome ambiance!! I'd recommend this wine bar to locals and visitors alike!!

We don't go to Devine Wine Lounge often, but it's always a great treat when we do! The Moscato d'Asti is a must, definitely get the bottle. The daily dip is always tasty, the naughty gnudi is rich and flavorful, and the mixed charcuterie is perfect for sharing. Trish gives fun, friendly service that makes the experience even better. Always a good time here! We have sat inside and out, love the vibes of both. Pro tip, they just started Sunday brunch!

If you're in the mood for lovely conversation, many wine choices, and a dessert that is fabulous, then stop in at deVine. Very welcoming team here!

I'd like to give this more than five stars if possible! We will definitely be back and we have told 1 million people about this place. It is a wonderful spot to relax and have a mature glass of wine and bite to snack on. The prices are so reasonable And their house red wine is absolutely spectacular. The ladies that work there are so friendly and entertaining - the entire spot is very welcoming and I love the purple and green/teal decor. Now this isn't on the water, and having a beautiful view would definitely add... But add to the prices unfortunately I'll take the no view with better pricing! So this is a win for us if you are a true wine lover or want to stop and have a relaxing drink. This is the spot!

The New Zealand Sav Blanc with the butter combo that comes with bread (not in pic) I chose the truffle and the lilikoi!

100% recommend you check this little gem out. A lovely chill ambiance to meet with my lady friends for happy hour deals and actually able to have a conversation without yelling over loud music or too many people. The geode looking side tables and purple velvet seats make it a sexy chill vibe. The staff are the sweetest people. The prices are right for what you get. Well worth it all. Would also make a great date night. But my favorite is being able to hang with friends and be comfortable with the seating they provide. The charcuterie boards have more than what you pay for imo. Plenty of food. We rarely even finish it all. Parking is easy and they have their own restroom which is a big deal for Kihei A special local spot to meet up!

We loved date night at the wine bar! It's such a fun and new experience for Kihei. It's also affordable! Thursday night we got the board and two glasses of wine for 45. We will be back.

For some reason, the couple with no reservation was seated before us and we did not get seated until about 10 mins after our reservation time while the couple ahead of us got seated within 5 mins of arriving. It made no sense to me and we were all seated inside. I would've thought we would've been seated before a walk-in. We also saw other smaller groups that arrived after us get seated before us. I make it a point because these were groups of like 3 or 4 and when we finally did get seated, we were seated in a table for 4. As the food, it is expensive for the portion of food you get. The food was good, but not something I would go out of my way to experience again. The drinks were fine, but nothing too memorable. The mai tai was good, but I think the lilikoi foam made the drink more delicious than a usual mai tai. The smoke screen was average but was lacking the smokiness taste that mezcal usually has. Overall, it's not decent place to try if you're in the Wailea or Kihei area but for the price point, I rather go to Roy's. Just don't expect your reservation to be honored because they'll sit people on a first come, first serve basis.

However, the owner took the time to respond and explain that the entire shopping center wing was experiencing cooling issues and that the restaurant was dealing with significant staffing shortages at the time. While that doesn't completely change the experience we had, I appreciate that the owner acknowledged the challenges and responded professionally rather than dismissing the feedback. One observation I would offer is that, as a customer, it was difficult to tell who was serving tables. I noticed several employees in Pint & Cork shirts moving around the restaurant, but only saw a couple of servers actively covering the dining area. It's possible some staff were assigned to bartending or other responsibilities, but from the guest perspective it gave the impression that table service was understaffed while other employees appeared unavailable. I still think there is room for improvement in the flow and logistics on the floor, but I appreciate the owner's willingness to engage with feedback and explain the circumstances. That being said, I would be willing to give the restaurant another chance. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- UPDATED REVIEW AFTER OWNER'S RESPONSE: 6.21.26 I appreciate the response. It's telling that you addressed the air conditioning, disputed the gender of an employee, and questioned whether I was even there, yet didn't meaningfully respond to the concerns about service, timing, attentiveness, or food quality. If a customer leaves with a poor experience, the question isn't whether they perfectly recalled every detail. The question is why they left with that impression in the first place. I suspect future readers can draw their own conclusions from both the review and the response. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Probably the most disappointing dining experience of our Hawaii trip. We specifically asked to sit indoors because we wanted a break from the Maui heat after spending the day outside. Unfortunately, we quickly realized there was no air conditioning, making the indoor seating barely any cooler than outside. The restaurant also felt severely understaffed. It took around 10 minutes just to get a Diet Coke, and every time I asked for assistance, the woman working at the register seemed to defer the request rather than help or find someone who could. Meanwhile, some employees appeared more interested in chatting than helping customers, while only one or two staff members seemed to be working the floor. I understand restaurants get busy, especially in a tourist area, but the issue wasn't just the wait--it was the feeling that customer service wasn't a priority. As for the food, it was nothing special. I ordered a steak that had a nice smoky flavor, but it arrived well done and overcooked. The rest of the meal was average at best and definitely not memorable enough to make up for the service issues. Between the lack of air conditioning, slow service, inattentive staff, and mediocre food, this was one of the few places in Hawaii where I genuinely regretted spending my money. Considering the location at The Shops at Wailea and the prices being charged, I expected a much higher level of hospitality and execution. There are far too many great dining options in Wailea to come back here.

But I dither, Nick's Fishmarket Maui is in an incredible location inside the Fairmont Kea Lani and it's setting alone would be enough to pull me back even if the food was just okay. Thankfully the food is MUCH better than "just okay", it is generally outstanding. I rotate starters and salads because there are so many great choices. The Caesar Salad is about as good as they get, but I really, really like the Maui Greek Salad. With at least four people we start with the Seafood Tower, but find it just too big for two of us. Other than that the Kalua Pig Pot Stickers, Charred Octopus, Crab Cakes and Blackened Ahi are the starters I rotate through. For my Main, I am less eclectic. I have a hard time getting away from the Diver Scallops and Scampi. I have tried other dishes, the Abalone, Kona Lobster and Ribeye (I know, I know, who orders steak in a seafood restaurant), but I keep coming back to. For Dessert, I am also in a rut, but I love desserts they set on fire and in this case it is Bananas Foster. I do sneak bites off my DW's Creme Brulee, as does off my BF. The service is terrific, attentive without being intrusive. I used to joke about the Chicago store that if you knocked a spoon off the table someone would catch it before it hit the floor. Table next to us raved about them and although the tortilla and the fish were fresh, the 'blackened' seasoning did me in. Overkill on a nicely cooked piece of fish - hard pass. Lamb, although cooked properly, (and I thought interestingly presented but) hubs is a meat guy and felt all the additions - sauce, relish, goat cheese - was overkill. Have to also say he didn't enjoy the waiter taking his knife to hand prepare a bite the way he thought it should be eaten. We barely saw him after that which further soured the experience. He vanished after the big ticket part of the meal (the 82$ lamb) and mentioned a comped panna cotta for our anniversary after we'd ordered a paid desert. Oops we owe you that next time (but you'll take our money today) Our food runner was great! Super upbeat, always with a smile. Bar area was relatively quiet until it wasn't. We wouldn't spend $350 this way again but would sit at the bar for sashimi and bounce.

Suggested tip is 25%, that's a huge red flag! Lahaina Brewing purchased Kohola brewing about one year ago. How I wish I had visited before that, because looking at historical Yelp reviews, the previous food offerings look SO much more interesting and were made with local and traditional products. Now what you get is $11 spam musubi, a pretzel that has both fish roe and sugary syrup on it (gross!) for $21, pseudo-Niçoise salad for $28 (WTF!), and imported shrimp cocktail for $5 a shrimp. Piss off! Even the server said it was a total rip-off. The menu is massively disappointing for those who actually have a frame of reference. Good thing we only came for beer. Tried the Kohola beer in Makawao and was very impressed. The Tall Story Pale Ale is really excellent, gold standard for pale ale, but you don't have to come here to enjoy it. Happy Hour is 2-5 p.m., $2 off Kohola draft and $4 off a glass of wine. Regular price beer is $8.50, fairly standard price. Unlike others, we had a good service experience. The ambience is comfortable, but I still would not return.

The Rum Cannonball was delicious as well, with a bright pineapple flavor that's perfect for a hot day on the patio. They do have a nice selection of local beers on tap. Food The Kalua Pork Sliders were the highlight. The pork paired beautifully with the curry slaw, so many layers of flavor, and the toasted roll was a perfect finishing touch. The Mini Poke Bowl was fresh and vibrant. Adding avocado really elevated it, and the sesame brought a nice depth of flavor. The Onion Dip was a fun surprise. Loved hearing the story behind it, they once over‑ordered onions and created this dip, which has since become a best seller. It's easy to see why. Finally, the Ahi Slider was excellent. The ahi was high‑quality and seared perfectly, and again, the toasted bun made a big difference. The sesame oil added a great finishing note.
