    Steak Burger

TLDR: Average at best We ordered Two Devil burgers and a Steak burger. If you're familiar with any of the Australian chains (Grilled or Burger Urge), you'll wish you never came here. The buns are ordinary and don't present particularly well. The Steak was fatty (and not the good kind of fatty) and the chips were soggy. The Aoli sauce somehow managed to disappoint as well. I was hoping to find an alternative to Fergburger, but this definitely isn't it.

This is a great place for lunch. We had the bbq ribs, devils burger and garlic cheese dips. The devils burger is nice and simple. The bbq ribs reminds me of chinese bbq ribs. I didn't know that the garlic cheese ribs came with garlic aioli with grated cheese. The burger was lighter here compared to Fergburger. The line was pretty short, and we waited 10 mins for our food.

In Queenstown there's two famous burger places, pretty much the only two I think anyone knows about. Devil Burger and Fergburger. Fergburger gets sooo much hype but honestly I liked Devil Burger as much! And the lines here are a lot smaller. Maybe people seeing a 40 minute line at Ferg just psychologically tricks them into thinking it's a superior place haha. Personally I didn't mind eating in "hell". That's my one devil pun for this review I promise lol.. The selection of burgers and sandwiches is nice, there's options for everyone. Veggie, fish, chicken, of course beef and even venison! I got a lamb cheeseburger because New Zealand is famous for their lamb and having it on a burger is just such a treat to me. No lamb sauce on it sorry Gordon Ramsay. Burger had a wonderful flavor to it, cooked perfectly. Only negative is the lettuce tries to take over the spotlight and consumes the bottom bun, like a little less woulda been fine. I personally like my onions grilled but forgot to ask them so make sure you ask because they might not ask you. Burgers can range anywhere from like $12nzd to $18 depending on what you get. With so many options to choose and a laid back atmosphere with low crowds, it's a nice place to go if you're looking for a good burger! 5 stars.

Ordered the Hardcore Mr Scratch and the polenta fries (not in photo). We couldn't really taste the BBQ sauce but it was an excellent burger nonetheless. This place is know for its spicy burgers but let it be known it's less spicy options were very good too.

I don't get it. So there is a huge line at Fergburger, and what EVERY local says is to just go to Devil Burger. One of the locals even said they copy Ferg to get spill over traffic. Anyway, I had the venison burger and curry fries. It was okay. The meat quality is good but I don't get the oversized bun. There was too much bun to burger so enjoy the meat. My wife got a regular burger and felt better about that one. The curry fires were overly doused with curry. Way too much to the point that we got another order of fries but the regular variety. It was much better that way.

As suggested by locals, we tried both Fergburger and Devil burger. Devil's has amazing selection of burgers if you only go here, but if you go after fergburger, you'll be disappointed :P I'd recommend to try this if you're in a hurry (this has zero wait time), no doubt they're good, but if you have time, go to fergburger!

So I tried this burger and a famous Fergburger and I can honestly say they are extremely similar. The biggest differences I noticed were the bun and the French fries (chips). I personally liked the chips at Fergburger better, however the line is always very long at the time that I want to eat so this is a great Plan B for anyone craving some New Zealand prime beef without the wait. I would also point out that the bun was far too big for the sandwich and I think the bun to meat ratio was off, so I only used half of the bun, which was plenty. Someone near me had a chicken tenderloin sandwich and that appeared to have much more meat on it. There is a nice fireplace inside, ample seating, and they even have pints of Ben and Jerry's available if you want to have a dessert after you eat!

Amazing burgers for their price. Ribs impressed us the most. Tender, juicy, flavorful.

Service: Good... average... a 6/10... Nice but not very engaging. Food: Good. Soothed my beef craving without the 30 people long wait for the 'other' burger place in Queenstown. Location: near funky lil pubs Parking: Alright but you may have a walk if it's too busy in the strees... although there's a Wilson's car park underground. I'd go back again...

QUEENSTOWN BURGER TEST : FERGBURGER vs DEBIL'S BURGER DEBIL'S BURGER The place is a bit out of the centre so 5 min walk and is a place to eat in style. Fireplace and tsbles are very cozy. The burger was absolutely fantastic. Like: BURGER, nice staff, good quality Dislike: nothing :-)

Skip the queues at Fergburger. Come here instead !

Had a lot of expectation for this place after a friend's recommendation and we were keen to try something different to Ferg's Well they did deliver. However the bun was quite soft and mushy (I had the Fungi veg. burger minus the aioli). It did taste good but not as flavoursome as Fergburger. Nevertheless, the shorter wait time, quick service and a reasonable price make up for it.

I had the large regular burger which was very tasty. The pattie was a decent size but a little tough. Over all it was most enjoyable meal.

I was there many times last year. Easily the best falafel burger (Veggie darkness) I've ever had.

Quite underrated, always a good meal. Burgers are huge! And not the lines you get at Fergburger.

It was our last day in New Zealand (Queenstown) and we had a couple hours to kill before our flight…read morehome that afternoon. We needed somewhere to go that was convenient, inexpensive and could keep our 7 year old twin daughters entertained and occupied. The answer, of course, was McDonalds! Location was convenient, food was economical, menu items were familiar and they had an indoor play structure (which is hard to come by - at least in Hawaii - nowadays)!!! So, why bother writing a review for a McDonalds (and a 4 star review at that)? Because, in addition to the amenities (play structure, TV with a kid's movie playing, clean interior, ample seating, clean bathrooms, McCafe, self-serve kiosks, menu items you don't normally have at home, etc.), this was, by far, the BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE we have ever had at a McDonalds or any other casual dining restaurant . . . EVER! The manager's name was Shaney. So, I don't know if this was just a Shaney thing or a New Zealand thing or what, but Shaney needs to stop managering and start training restaurant workers on exemplary customer service. First, they brought your order to your table. Also, they asked what drinks you want and offer to go fill them for you. Then, they come by and check on you a couple times to see how you are doing (like a sit-down restaurant, not a fast food place). The manager also made sure to check in with the girls (not just the grown ups) and gave them a couple high-fives as they played. We asked her if this was typical McDonalds behavior because it is definitely not what we are used to at home. She was sincere in wanting the customers to feel welcome and to enjoy their stay . . . WHAT?!?!?! Needless to say, we easily and happily spent our morning here and were well fed and well rested for our long flight home.

Just finished walking around the lake in Queenstown…read more I'm still adjusting to the time zone and need to stay awake for our dinner cruise. Queenstown is very expensive and the large mochaccinos at Starbucks were almost $8 NZD. I kept walking and stopped at McDonalds in the town center. I ordered a large mochaccino for $5 NZD in the McCafe on top of McDonalds. They actually ground the beans and made it fresh! It's amazing. I can't believe that this came from McDonalds!! Great service and nice view of street life!!
