Fish, chicken, fries and cheese all mixed together
    Jennifer K.

We had a long day on the road so we looked for a place that delivered. We placed our order and it was delivered on time by uber eats. BUT the food was all mixed together and not in containers. Not even in a bag. If you can't accommodate a delivery order then don't advertise

An order of Blue Cod. WIMPY PORTION FOR THE MONEY!
    Michael S.

I was on a walkabout in Qtown near the end of April 2024. The fried Blue Cod tasted OK. Nothing special. 15 NZD for the DINKY portion in the picture. POOR VALUE for the money. LONG wait for my order, but there were only 2 employees. I had higher expectations based upon the YELP reviews. I walked away DISAPPOINTED. Walk up counter service only, order and wait. Picnic tables out back. No restrooms.

Blue cod hands down best option omg sooo good!

Delicious fish and definitely go for the home style chips. Very friendly service also. Thanks!

This way to Erik's. A little hidden

You can order and pay online and set the time then go in for pick up! Highly recommended! Definitely upgrade and go for the blue cod. You can't go wrong. The fish is so good and very meaty. My son's "kids fish and chips" barely had fish, mostly breading. I forgot all the pricing, but see pictures for pricing, sorry some got cut off by the light. The location is tucked away in a little shopping area. When we went at night, almost everything was closed so it's very easy to miss. If you're coming from the heart of the town along the water, turn left by Bottswana Butchery. It's behind that area.

Shriveled chips and potato scallops, wildly disappointing.

Rated as the top f & c in Queenstown, chips were dried out and shriveled, asked for lemon and chicken salt, both were missing even after checking before we left with it takeaway. Fish was good, calamari was over battered. Nothing on f & c in Australia I'm sorry to say. Wildly disappointing.

Hoki and Blue Cod w/ Erik’s Homemade Chips

My wife and I visited Erik's Fish & Chips for a quick dinner on a recent trip to Queenstown. We ordered the Hoki and Blue Cod with a side of Erik's Homemade Chips. The fish was flakey and meaty with a crisp breading. The chips were crisp on the outside and soft on the inside and paired with a sweet creamy aioli for dipping. These were some of the best fish and chips I have had and a must try when in Queenstown.

Fish was a tad bland, and the fried cauliflower and onions were super oily. I would pass on this

Cauliflower bites, blue cod and chips. Everything was incredible!

This place serves some of the best fish and chips I've ever had in my life. We had several meals here during our stay in Queenstown. I recommend the blue cod and chips with a side of aioli. The fish is juicy and mild, and the batter is crisp and light. I also suggest getting the cauliflower bites, which were absolutely delicious. The portions are massive and enough to share. Everything is freshly made. They have a small dining area that is enclosed. Most people place orders to go, but we opted to eat there and each time we did we left satiated and happy.

Dory fish and fried cauliflower Delicious.
    Paul W.

Yes it really is excellent. Pipping hot and lots of options. I ordered the Dory fish. It is the middle priced fish option and is cheaper than the cod. It was fresh and delicious. Had it with fried cauliflower instead of chips. Very good but not outstanding. I really should not eat fries (chips) and these were a nice alternative. Price and service were very good. Much less expensive than some of the sit down restaurants. Limited outside seating. Recommended.

In a previous town, I had a taster of Speights Old 5 Dark Mild Ale-enjoying the mild roasty creamy blend, but didn't have time for a full pour- so I was delighted, when walking through Queenstown, to discover Speights Alehouse, realizing this was my opportunity for a full pour. We dined during the lunch hour, in which we were able to choose from a lunch hour $15 plate special; ordering a fish & chips- and an off-special regular menu lamb shank w.mashed potatoes & peas \ Inside, the building has a quaint historic feeling, like going back in time to the local 1876 pub.
