I called 5 times and was told on all separate accounts that a manager would call me back because they changed accounting systems and only a manager access the old system. I never once received a call back. After calling again three years later, I finally got an email saying too much time has passed and they will not refund me. How can they keep someone's money for a service never provided? This is illegal in many states and the business is suppose to report unearned revenue to the state or refund the customer. It's blatant robbery. Awful customer service!

I called Apple, worked through their suggestions and set up a Genius Bar meeting for a few days later since their bookings were full. Needing a quicker solution, I called Geeks or Us. Clyde answered and said that he would be right over to check out the problem. When he arrived, he had the screen working as normal within 10 minutes, and found that the machine was overheating. The fix was a pretty involved endeavor. So, he took my workhorse of a computer back to his shop. However, since I needed those files that I hadn't backed up locally in the past 2 months, he went above and beyond by extracting my hard drive and mounting it into an enclosure- allowing me to access all of my files while he repaired the heat issue. As a small business owner, with lots of irons in the fire, I need reliable and quick vendors that help me serve my clients. Geek or Us and Clyde are an amazing asset that I will use over and again. So, what does Microcenter offer, well lots of computers, accessories and everything an aspiring nerd needs to enter the digital world in style. If you're a graphical artist, they have drawing tables and stylist, musically inclined they have adapters to cover that too along with software but I encourage research or talking to a sales rep before buying. How about that keyboard that fits those tired hands? I see a dozen options before we even get into the backlit keyboards. Mice with over 20 buttons for those hardcore gamers will also tempt you. How about a laptop for computing on the go? Well that "buying best" place can only dream of as many options. As for me, while I've built my computer before I decided to let MicroCenter take care of it. The installation cost was low and I was able to build my "super computer" for cheap, a warranty and it was done within three days. What was a lot of fun is the saleman and I talked for about 45 minutes about World of Warcraft b/c he's a player as well. Although he did try and sell me a monitor however I have that covered. I did browse the TV section out of curiosity and noticed their prices and inventory are competitive with other stores as well. I'll admit, I love this place and it's my first option when I need a computer. I like talking to people and discussing options rather than grabbing it off a website. Micro Center has an informed sales staff, a lot of inventory and competitive prices for everything you may need, including phones! They weren't the cheapest quote that I received…read more(that's one of the reasons that I chose them), but they were in the ballpark and the ETA was reasonable. I use Carbonite and unfortunately it did not back up some of the items that I need. They continued to work with me to restore these items even though they did not charge me for reloading data due to my (incomplete) Carbonite backup. No BS, straight forward experience. HIGHLY recommend.

Doing a quick search on Yelp, I filled out a service request and Jon @ KC Super Tech responded within 2 minutes. He "risked his life" ;) coming to my home the next evening and quickly diagnosed a faulty wireless network adapter card. He then installed a temporary fix (a USB adapter) to get the laptop wifi up and running while we waited for a new adapter card that had to be ordered. Jon finished the job with another "risky" ;) trip to my home to install the new card. Laptop is good as new! I'd highly recommend Jon to anyone who needs some IT help (home or at work).
