It's freezing today in Lubbock with many businesses closing early, including Devault Floral. I didn't know this until I called to order flowers to a mommy with a newborn baby. The lady who answered the phone said they were closed today due to inclement weather conditions, but added she was going into the shop to finalize and deliver a few orders. Despite the pressure she must be under for her and other employees safety, she was passionate enough to take one more order. Awwww, isn't that nice? Yes!!! She said to expect delivery by 2pm (ordered at 11:30am) with a text message after delivery and a photo of what the arrangement looks like before delivery. Having seen amazing arrangements from this floral shop, I decided to order a valentine's arrangement for my boyfriend from them. On the phone, they were extremely friendly. In person they were frazzled and short. I asked for white lilies and orange gerbers. What I got looked like a "get well soon" bouquet not a romantic bouquet. Full of fuller flowers and not a white lily in sight. I went to a local supermarket, bought $20 worth of flowers and had to rearrange the bouquet on my own. I paid them $60 for something a child could have made from flowers from Walmart. I will not be going back. read more

I just received word that a special family friend passed away and the visitation was on 3 hours. I live in the Dallas area and did not know who to use for floral. Yelp very rarely lets me down so I looked up florist. Almost all reviews were great so I called Devault flowers. Shyla was extremely helpful and reassuring that they would be able to get something out in time. She offered to send me pictures of examples; however, after talking with her I trusted she knew her inventory and would do a good job. She finished it in plenty of time and sent me a picture before delivery. It was beautiful! I am picky about color combos and they did an excellent job. I ordered flowers for a memorial service a week in advanced from this florist. First they weren't able to get in the flowers I had originally ordered (which isn't their fault and I get this can happen). I said we could do a different arrangement and they said they would send me a picture of what they put together. Not only did they not send a picture but they never even sent the arrangement. I had to call twice to find out what happened and at no time were they even apologetic about it. Just that it didn't get sent. They did refund my money and did send an apology arrangement. I can appreciate that accidents happen and that they did what they could to try and make up for it. But not someone I would use again. read more

My first time using the florist my goddaughter was having a baby at Covenant Lakeside and got referred to Devault from another florist cause they did not have balloons. I call placed my order and wanted flowers balloons and a little bear and was asked how much I said $100.00 would be great. Later her mom sent me a picture since I drive a truck for a living I was in California and thought it was pretty and well done but only 3 balloons and little bear smaller then the vase the flowers are in, but ok I checked this morning back app and was surprised to see I was billed $138.57 for the arrangement then I was really disappointed in how it came out. I called asking break down of bill and lady seemed upset I was asking but not rude. Like the other gentleman the arrangement was beautiful but not for that much $30 for the little bear. She was in the hospital memorial day for blood pressure problem and only thing open was close but hospital gift shop and had flower/plant arrangement sent and with 3 balloons was only 32.50 they charge $2.00 more then the hospital girt shop for each balloon. We ordered flowers to be delivered to my dads nursing home. Unfortunately, He was admitted to the hospital and we kept the flowers on hold Sadly he died and we changed the flower order to a casket arrangement Normal store hrs on Saturday are till 2pm. On Saturday we got a call to pickup the flowers by 1 as the store was slow and they wanted to close early at 1 We live 37 miles away and had arranged our pickup( family and flowers) times according to the burial schedule Putting our time frame up one hr was doable but certainly an inconvenience at the late hour When we saw the arrangement we were sadly disappointed. The main flowers were wilted and looked old. Even my brother who never is critical commented on the lack luster flowers I asked where they had gotten the flowers and the lady answered " my boss picked them out" We needed to buy more flowers for the meal after the burial but there were no flowers in sight and the few arrangements for sale (about 7) were sparse and not what we needed Not only were the main flowers(10 in the arrangement) wilted but 2 fell out as it was being carried to the burial site Needless to say, we could not recommend Devault for your floral needs. read more

I never review anything, but I was so dissapointed in the arrangement I purchased. I ordered a large arrangement for a birthday gift. I asked for warm peachy and cream colors. I received an arrangement that looked filled with weeds and a ton of greenery. There was only one single hydrangea (which is what I asked for specifically) and it didn't go with the other flowers at all. Overall, I am extremely dissapointed, and I am ashamed that my name was placed on them for a gift. I feel that I could have done a better job at this, and I am no floral designer. I called to express my dissapointment, and I received no response other than, "okay, thanks for calling". I gave it two stars because the girl working when I ordered them was polite, but what I received was completely off base from what I wanted. read more

Worst florist I have ever dealt with. Ordered flowers for my daughter for Valentine's Day through teleflora.com. Devault Floral apparently called my dad after the delivery guy got lost, my dad tried to tell him how to get there, and he got frustrated and said it was too far, and they would not deliver so forget it and then hung up on him while he was talking. Funny, my mom's flowers were delivered by another vendor with no problems whatsoever. Nobody was going to tell me about it, my dad had to call me and tell me how rude they were to him. Teleflora was awfully surprised to hear that my order I paid for was simply going to be "forgotten" about so rudely. So, I called to nicely see if I could get the flowers or have them delivered to me since I am closer and in-town. Nope. Rude lady on the phone said the order was canceled and told me to never do business with them again. I hadn't done anything to her? I was shocked at her rudeness. I can't believe how ugly those folks were. I spent my $ for an early delivery to avoid the rush, and that's what I got out of it, a big fat nothing. How embarrassing for them. I advise you stay away from this florist. They have some major personality disorders and I don't know how they stay in business treating their paying customers like dirt. read more
