She truly goes above and beyond in every sense of the word, and I can't imagine this process without her. From the very beginning, she impressed us with her patience and her ability to really listen to our needs, preferences, and even unspoken concerns. She never rushed us into decisions, and instead provided multiple thoughtful renderings until we felt 100% confident in the direction. She doesn't just design for beauty--she designs for the way a family actually lives. Every idea she presented balanced practicality with elegance, which is exactly what we wanted for our home. One of the qualities I value most is that she's not afraid to give her honest, professional opinion. If something wouldn't work functionally or aesthetically, she told us upfront and explained why--saving us from costly mistakes we might have regretted later. That kind of candor is rare, and it shows how much she genuinely cares about her clients' best interests. She also has an incredible talent for sourcing materials and pieces that look high-end while staying within our budget. Not once did she pressure us into overspending, and yet the end result feels far more luxurious than we thought possible. She has a keen eye for detail, whether it's the perfect lighting fixture, the flow of the floor plan, or just the right paint tone that changes with the light throughout the day. Her project management skills deserve equal praise--she communicates clearly, stays on top of timelines, and coordinates seamlessly with contractors and vendors. Remodeling a whole house can be overwhelming, but she made it organized, smooth, and surprisingly stress-free. Most importantly, she treats your home as if it were her own--pouring thought, creativity, and care into every choice. We now walk through our home in awe that it reflects both our lifestyle and personality so perfectly. If you're looking for an interior designer who is talented, dependable, practical, creative, and genuinely invested in making your vision come to life, look no further than MGU design. She's a true gem, and we feel lucky to have found her.

How'd it turn out? She knocked it out of the park. Her passion and care for the project really showed in the final result. Also, naturally, there were a few hiccups due to other product manufacturers screwing up along the way. Whenever this happened, Mu kicked into gear and saved the day multiple times. She got products replaced that weren't shipped in top condition and made sure every detail was perfect, even down to a tiny last piece of a window blind. I'm so glad I went with her. If you need a quality interior designer, MGU could be perfect for you. She was for this project, and I'm looking forward to MORE. Thanks Mu!

My mom was very involved in the design process, and Shir was able to balance both of our perspectives seamlessly -- which is no small task! She handled everything from major pieces like beds, couches, and chairs to smaller details like hardware, candles, and vases. Every choice felt intentional and cohesive. She really understood how to bring our modern-cozy vision to life while honoring the architecture of our Spanish-style home here in Southern California. Hiring Shir was absolutely worth it. Beyond her expert eye for design, you're paying for the time, clarity, and confidence that come with working with a true professional. We would've spent months second-guessing decisions (and probably made costly mistakes) trying to do this ourselves. Instead, we got a beautifully designed home that feels effortless and perfectly "us." Highly, highly recommend her for both big and small projects -- she's amazing at what she does.

Immediately, when I walked inside, the owner or whoever he was, who is overly tan with white hair, did NOT greet me with hospitality. He asked me what I wanted, which I thought was extremely rude and UNPROFESSIONAL, not how you greet potentially high profile buyers. I went to walk in and IMMEDIATELY , He told me that to leave my bag at the front door as if I was going to steal something or break something. I put my one bag down then I went to walk again he said oh you need to leave your book bag also and I asked why and he's like because I have a lot of things in here. I said OK maybe you should put a sign up that says you can't carry bags. He said I don't have to do ANYTHING, VERY NASTY TONE. So I put my book bag down also. He was reluctant to let me LOOK around the store. HE DID NOT WANT To service me at all, he literally stood in my way, and I had to ASK him to MOVE. SO AS I'M LOOKING AROUND, HE'S NOT ASKING ME ANY QUESTIONS, HE'S NOT ASKING ME WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR, THE STYLE THAT I'M LOOKING FOR, WASN'T ACCOMMODATING OR ANYTHING. Then I went to check out the upstairs where the light was on. There was no rope ACROSS the stairs, signifying that the upstairs was closed. He ran over and turned the light OFF telling me that all of a sudden the upstairs was closed and I said well you guys have been open since 10:30 AM. It was now 12 PM and as soon as I came to the store, all of a sudden the upstairs was CLOSED because of "fumigation". I smelled no chemicals whatsoever. This place has such beautiful items, but the customer service is GARBAGE and dare I say has negative racial undertones. losing out on money because you don't like black people is so sad. Yuck.
