Nonetheless after trying store after store with the inclination to avoid the mall at all possible costs, I wandered into Cindies nonchalantly and hopeful they would be able to finally satisfy my drawn out endless search that was getting me nowhere. Sadly as aforementioned, GREEN I shake my fist at you. Now I have to touch basis on the "nonchalantly," because let's face it if you're a lingerie/adult store and your windows are bordered up like Fort Knox and you can't see what this building may have in store for you when you step inside, my comfort bubble is pretty much becoming a wall telling me not to venture in. Cindies on the other hand is a small store, plenty of windows, and very clean. I remember the staff being super friendly on my first visit and the same goes with my recent. She sadly told me green was not in, meh Cinderella blue gloves but no green, damn pretty, pretty princesses. She, even though reluctant to send me off empty handed, told me to try that next store a few blocks up the street. Although they aren't as much a costume store as I have seen with other adult stores, they have a great selection of lingerie, toys, and other adult gifts.

I am not very good at looking and feeling sexy. Sontera made it super simple. We started with my make up and she was very good at suggesting how to sit, stand, look to get a good shot. I didn't even recognize myself in some of the pictures! After the shoot we met again to review the pictures and decide which pictures would be in the book I purchased. Sontera is very easy going and makes you feel totally at ease. Which was a huge deal since I was taking my clothes off in front of her moments after we met!

We get to the checkout and I am a Victoria secret credit card holder so yesterday morning I received a 30% off email coupon on my entire purchase and when the employee goes to ring me all the way through I show her my coupon and she tells me I can't use it until 10-15-2022 because they were never told about this company but it clearly states on the email you can use it in store and online 10-13 through 10-15 after about maybe 20 minutes of me yelling at the employees they finally gave me my 30% discount I was upset because at first the employees were trying to tell me I had to come back the next day to but my items I demanded a NO and finally they gave me the 30% off discount but it was a nightmare because they were acting like they didn't want to give it to me when I've been a loyal customer since 2007. I'm very disappointed to say the least and wish the company would treat their loyal customers better. My cousin and mom stopped by here during the Semi-Annual Sale to check out bras and panties. My…read morecousin hasn't gotten fitted since 7th grade (she's in 10th now) and we wanted her to get something that would fit and make her feel good. The store itself is impecable. There's a ton of staff organizing the bras and making sure everything is orderly. They're very friendly and greeted us when we entered as well as asked us if we wanted help. BUT. Do not take the advice of the sales people when it comes to sizing. Holy Moley. We went to the changing room where a woman measured my cousin and told her she was a 32DD. I found this weird because I myself am a 32D and my cousin's breasts are nowhere near my size. However, she was the expert so we decided to take her advice. We left the changing room, rifled through the bins of discount bras, and waited on the long line for another changing room. Finally, after 15 minutes my cousin tried on all the bras and they fit her so awkwardly that we decided there must be a flaw in the sizing. Another woman who had finished fitting my mom fitted my cousin and so we all left the changing room again to try the new sizes suggested (32D and 32DDD). These sizes were not any better. Both the bras we got for my mom and the bras we got for my cousin fitted them horribly. So ugly. Eventually, I took matters into my own hands, checked out the cup and band and picked out some 34Cs for my cousin which fit her perfectly. My mom just grabbed some bras in the same size she came in with 32D. My advice is not to come here in search of accurate sizing. You'll leave with bras that fit terribly. And DON'T let the staff lead you to believe you need to "break in a bra" for it to fit properly. Bras are NOT jeans ladies, they should fit beautifully from day 1. This probably wouldn't have been such a problem if the fitting room lines were actually short but we ended up going back and forth like 3 times and waiting on line approx. 15 mins each time! We wasted almost the whole day there. Jeez Luiz.

I was not in a very body-positive mindset the evening before and even walking into the studio the day of, but that quickly changed as I talked with Julia and her team. My nerves calmed when Laura started on my makeup, and Kendall handed me a glass of champagne. Leading up to the photoshoot, I received several emails with information regarding their downtown warehouse loft location right across from Minute Made Park and parking. They also included how to best prepare for the shoot--from what to wear, skincare suggestions, and where to buy high-quality lingerie if I didn't already have some. The email sent the day before let me know the timeline and everything that would take place that day. Their excellent communication certainly helped me relax before the big day! Laura did a beautiful job on my makeup. I typically wear very natural and light makeup, and it was fun to see the drama she added, so my makeup would stand out for the shoot! I still looked like myself, which was important to me. While Laura did my makeup, Kendall went through the several outfits I had packed and my jewelry to pick out the shoot styles. She and Julia decided to put me in a few pieces from Julia's lingerie line, and they were absolutely stunning! It was wonderful to hand over the final decision making to their team of professionals and relax. Once my hair and makeup were done, I got to see the outfits that had been styled for me, and we started the shoot. Julia demonstrated and talked me through exactly what poses I'd be doing for each shot. She kept saying "gorgeous" or "perfect" with every shot, and it definitely boosted my confidence. By the end of the shoot, we had several stunning photos to choose from, and we sat together to whittle down the choices. This was the most challenging part of the experience, and I was stunned to see myself on the screen. Was that really me? The lighting was stunning. The curves and angles were so feminine and breathtaking. She and her team had managed to bring out the goddess in me, and I couldn't have felt more confident leaving the studio. I will be recommending ShineOn Boudoir to all of my friends. Men and women alike! They also shoot couples, which could be such a fun gift for a birthday or holiday. I'm certainly hoping my upcoming birthday involves a gift certificate so I can snag more of the photos I had to weed out from this shoot! Highly recommend!
