We saw Turf's up a few years ago and said we'd make it a point to visit on a rainy day. Today we spent an hour there and wish we'd booked more. It's so much fun! Our two kids (10 and 12) loved it. It's a great facility with every game you can imagine from golf to baseball, hockey to basketball. There's even a bar. Karen was extremely friendly and helpful. Can't wait to go back. My BF & I appreciated that it wasn't just 36 holes of what I call 'straight shots'. The courses actually had some obstacles and turns in the course. Still kid friendly I think, but also a little more 'challenging' for adults making it more enjoyable. Compared to the other 2 courses though, there aren't as trash cans around on the course. Not a big deal just a little inconvenient. Lastly, I don't know what makes it different, but the balls here move so easy! Almost too easy lol My BF and I felt like we were barely tapping the ball and it'd go way further than expected! Again, compared to the other courses when you would barely tap the ball it would barely move. So, a little bit of a learning curve. Or maybe there was just something in the air that day.

However, the one at the Outer Banks has a 'train' for you to ride on to get to hole 1; but there's also stairs to walk if you don't want to ride the train. The courses here are pretty simple and easy. There aren't many obstacles, so for 2 adults it was kind of underwhelming in that aspect, but we still had fun. This is probably a really good course for people with children. The price was $15 per adult for (one) course - a little pricey I think. But then you can do the second course for only $8 ish. You also have a chance to win a free game with there with their mystery hole. At the end of your game if you got a hole in one, go up to a worker and ask what the mystery hole number is. If the mystery hole number is the same hole number, you got a hole in one at; you win a free game! Oh and the course is well maintained!

A friend of mine was raving about this place and I had to take him to this place because they are not able to drive themselves to it. His wife's sister needed help with trying to fix an Atari system. We tried to buy an extension part from them and they didn't have it in stock. Too many logistics to try to get it later as I would not be around. It certainly didn't hurt that the worker at the time recognized my one friend's sister from a decade or so ago. The problem was probably that the specific TV model would not properly take any additional connections even though it had certain ports. There was so much back and forth and trying to order this and that that it was quite tiring for me. Galactic made that process a bit easier. They tested the woman's Atari. Ok my last day, my one friend had me make a request to return a device with no receipt. They refunded me even though I misunderstood from my friend what the device was and why they ended up with it to begin with. As a tourist to the area, I did not know about the separate space for the game room (there is another store between their store and their game room). But it makes sense because they have a tournament or some event occurring daily. There is also a back entrance/exit from the plaza for cars that is not obvious. As a separate online observation, Whether the comic book prices are above ebay prices not, if you don't want it, don't buy it and don't complain about that. These kind of games and comics stores and ones with super nice people are harder to come by. The convenience is worth it if things are priced more. You can see an item beforehand in a store but not online and maybe the online item's quality is not as good. I don't feel that this invisible cost and the potential additional costs to maintain the store were properly factored in by that others potentially and those things are important too.
