So glad I found this place for my girls weekend trip here. The service, food and drink as were amazing! What a quaint little place. Loved the decor and environment. Will definitely recommend and plan to go back here when in town again.

Welcomed in with a smile and seated right away. Our most excellent server, Jayce was very friendly and informative( slipped me a copy of the daily specials while is trying to take a pic of it to look at. Jayce then took our orders for drinks and those drinks appeared outa nowhere. Lickety Split!! While sitting, chatting with family and enjoying my Old Fashioned with Old Forester bourbon, I relaxed and took in the whisky bar atmosphere. Jayce returned and we placed our dinner order which arrived really super sonic like. We totally enjoyed our selections and also had to pack some up for later. If you're in and around LaGrange, IN. Stop by. Have drink or two. Enjoy today.

From the options in the area this was a great spot to meet some friends in between South Bend and Fort Wayne, approx. 45 min each way. The atmosphere was fun and inviting. For 5 pm on a Friday, we didn't have to wait at all before getting seated but by the time we left around 6:30 pm there was definitely a line out the door. We felt a little rushed but everything came out in a very timely matter. Drinks were delightful and they had a bunch of fun options to choose from, including lists of whiskey flights. The shrimp scampi flatbread was filling and yummy and my husband had the blue gill special tonight, in-which he said the flavor was great although the fish itself was pretty flimsy. Overall, a pretty good experience for a random spot we found in an unfamiliar area!

We found this place through Yelp while staying in Shipshewana, and we're delighted we did! The decor and menu are current, and it's obviously popular - the line was out the door by the time we left. We're spoiled for food options at home in California, and our salmon, shrimp flatbread, and poutine were so good we would be frequent customers if this restaurant was there. There were a couple of glitches in our order, and it took a long time to come out, but I'm giving five stars anyway for the food. Go and enjoy!

The wonderful food today hit every one of my taste buds in a great way. The $5 pour was exceptional. As was the service by Anita. Keep up the amazing work. Kevin Butts

We visited this restaurant after striking out going to another restaurant located downtown Lagrange as there was a very going on. I immediately knew where to take the family because I had eaten here about a year ago with my mom and friends. Expect a wait for a table on a Friday or Saturday night as ours was 30 minutes or so. Our server was very nice and kept tabs on us through the whole night. She was great! We started off the meal with the waffle bbq fries and they were amazing! So good! For dinner, we got two different burgers, the BBQ Bacon Burger and the Old Forrester Burger =both with delicious fries!) and both of the boys loved them as they decided to share them with each other. I think they liked the BBQ Bacon Burger the best with the Gorgonzalo cheese. I got the Nashville Hot Fried Tenderloin, which was just ok for me. I usually love it when burgers are topped with slaw and French fries but this pork tenderloin with it was not my favorite. I would probably go for a burger next time. It probably didn't help that my mouth was still on fire from the waffle fries that had jalepenos on it! The whole family really enjoyed this place and the decor inside is so cool. If you are in town and thinking about trying this place, I highly recommend it! I wish my town had something like this!

3.5 stars. A couple of friends and myself were excited to try this place, everyone has been raving about it! It has a very industrial vibe, which is popular right now. It was pretty loud sitting in the center of the restaurant, so we had a difficult time hearing each other to have a normal, relaxed conversation. Very echoey. Our waitress was nice, although not super attentive. The reason we came was for the food, right? So, the food was decent. I had the Midwestern Poutine- interesting flavor combination... I liked it! Both of my friends had ordered meat dishes- chicken & a burger. They agreed that the meat was dry and their sides of a salad and french fries were pretty basic. Overall, we felt like everything was OK but if we had a choice between going here and somewhere else, we would go somewhere else.

Good service and food for general public, but absolutely no real vegan options and very few vegetarian options.

This facility is a little older but in good repair and clean. It's decor is a little dated. The team here was very nice and prompt with service. Sometimes you don't get this full treatment unless you are a regular. My wife had the fish tacos and Cole slaw. She really liked the presentation and taste. The fish was flaky and moist. The dressing and lettuce were fresh tasting. The Cole slaw was okay. It was chopped somewhat fine with a slight mayo base. The cabbage was fresh but it really could have used more mayo with some seasoning. My side salad was very plain. The items were fresh but nothing to really distinguish the iceberg lettuce taste from the dressing. It was just kind of there. The onion rings were very good. They had a thin piece of onion in a little bit heavier batter. The batter has a slight salty flavor and retains some greasiness. That said...I really liked the onion rings. I had to try the fish and ribs combo when I saw it delivered to another table. The ribs were very tender and moist. The BBQ sauce was slightly sweet with a nice BBQ spice. The fish and tarter sauce were outstanding. The white fish was very flaky and moist. The portion sizes are pretty big. The tarter sauce was a bit more plain with a slight hint of sugar and relish. If you like fish...give Turkey Lake Tavern a try!

This place was recommended to us not by a tourist but by a friendly relative of the Amish owner, Brenda Slabaugh (everyone in this settlement is close-knit). Like other in-home dining venues, the spacious room also serves as a social gathering and worship place for the Amish. Nearly everything in the huge kitchen is prepared from scratch and served family-style. The fixed menu includes bread, salad, chicken, roast beef, noodles, mashed potatoes, cooked vegetables, and assorted pies. Everything we tasted was phenomenal. Homemade peanut butter and jam, spread on fresh-baked bread, were ethereal. The 'colorific' salad was colorful indeed and tossed in a savory vinaigrette. White meat chicken fingers and dark meat were breaded and baked (not fried) to perfection. The beef (pot roast, perhaps) was fork-tender and juicy. All of the side dishes and pies were just as wonderful. Brenda and family members who helped her prepare and serve the meal were friendly and attentive to our needs, and happy to answer questions about Amish lifestyle and customs. Of course, a 'modern' restroom is available. This business is aimed at large parties and tour groups, but it's available to smaller parties on Wednesday evenings. Advance reservations are required
