Every dessert I've tried has been so tasty. My top fave are the apple pie, macaroons and the abuelita cookies

I don't usually have much of a sweet tooth, but tonight I was craving for something along the lines…read moreof ice cream, but less sweet. I'm glad that Yelp recommended this place to me! The mango bingsoo was so good. I'm usually a savory foods girly, but I love the "not to sweet" sweets just like this bingsoo! It was my first time here and definitely not the last. The texture of the ice caught me off guard in a good way! It was like soft, but also still had a good "bite". I never had fresh snow before, but this is what I would imagine the texture to be like. It's milky ice, but in the best way possible. It's not icy at all. It's like soft and pillowy. It made me want to keep eating it. The mango sauce and mango cream on top was really good too. At first when I looked at the bingsoo, I'm not going to lie, the presentation looked a bit underwhelming at first, but there's a generous amount of mango chunks around the middle of the bingsoo. The mango chunks were soft and sweet! Honestly it was soooo good! My husband and I ended up sharing the shareable size together and we were able to finish it without a problem! I'm already craving it again as I am writing this review lol! The portion size is actually good. I love how they give a mountain of the ice and not have it flattened out. I also liked how milky the bingsoo was. It also didn't melt too fast, which is a plus. I was actually able to indulge instead of scarfing it down. Now I wish this place was closer to me as I'm from the Bay Area! I would probably eat this everyday if I could lol! It does get a little messy, like sticky so make sure you have napkins! I also kind of wish they had some topping options like mochi bits, condensed milk, sago, or mango popping boba lol or an option for extra cream! Oh and we arrived around 9:30pm. Not too long after we arrived, the place was packed! They do have a parking lot, but parking is quite limited and it's only like 20 minute and 30 minute parking.

Thanks to Yelp for leading us to this spot!…read more We had dinner in Torrance with my sister and my daughter. We were having so much fun and were looking for a dessert spot so we can continue to catch up. We found Noon Bingsu. It's in a strip mall with lots of other Korean businesses! It's well lit inside but not much in terms of decor. We got a small mango bingsoo and it was delicious! Big chucks of fresh mango, lots of mango flavored cream and the soft powdery shaved ice. There's really nothing else like it. In the famous words of Asian dessert compliment - NOT TOO SWEET! I'd love to come back again and try the injeolmi or grape flavor.

The good: I tried the che Thai (that's what we call it in…read moreVietnamese at least but I am not sure the Thai name for it). It's a tapioca and coconut milk pudding and it was delicious! The liquid in it was less sweet than the Vietnamese version and had fun grass jelly and tapioca pieces inside. I also had the coconut pieces in coconut water. The interior is modern and casual. They're situated in the corner of the plaza where there are tons of other Asian eats as well. The bad: I didn't get to try any foods this trip but will come back to try their savory foods. The coconut pieces in coconut water was frozen so we couldn't consume it right away. The interesting: They prefer you pay cash. Their dessert options weren't on their menu. You just had to visually look at the display.

I…read morewas torn between a nearby burger and hot dog spot and this place, but with the rainy weather, a warm bowl of Khao Soi sounded perfect! I had seen several pictures of it on Yelp, and it looked too good to pass up. Funny enough, I've been to the Thai restaurant nearby several times but never paid much attention to Sweet Rice. I always assumed they only served breakfast and desserts based on the name. Clearly, I was missing out! I ordered the Khao Soi with chicken, and let me tell you, it was absolutely delicious! The broth was rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. That coconut curry combination was everything! The noodles, onions, and all the different textures worked so well together. I especially loved the crispy wonton strips on top, which added the perfect crunch. Every bite was so comforting and flavorful. This is definitely a dish I would come back for! I also ordered a Thai iced tea, which I really enjoyed. It was a little on the sweet side for my preference, so next time I would probably request a little extra cream to balance it out. The restaurant itself was clean, cozy, and inviting. I decided to dine inside, put my earbuds in, and enjoy an episode of Netflix while eating my soup. It was honestly such a relaxing little lunch. The service was excellent! The cashier was incredibly sweet and attentive, checking on me throughout my visit to make sure everything was okay. Overall, I'm so glad I decided to give Sweet Rice a try. Great food, wonderful service, and a cozy atmosphere. That Khao Soi alone is worth coming back for. Definitely a spot I'll be visiting again!

The place has this classic ice cream shop feel with pastel aesthetics mixed into a modern clean vibe which mixes practicality with style. I LOVE the glass panel decoration and the front decor which are simple details yet convenient decoration. The options have an interesting range in diversity, from ice cream and drinks. Their combinations are so unique, blending trendy flavors like matcha, honey, and many more delicious flavors. My favorite flavor I have tried so far, was the Dalgona Affogato--which I picked because I was thinking of the squid games. The dessert was so smooth but the honey was slightly overbearing. If that is not to your preference, they have other options that can certainly fit to your taste buds. The ice cream is perfectly sweet and an excellent treat in this summer weather. The honey crisps placed on top of the ice were so little, which I wished they had a bit more since it tasted so good with the smooth ice cream. Another thing I hoped was for the affogato to be a bit bigger portion. But then again, I am unsure about the sizings of affogato since this is my first time trying it. Thank you Honeymee Gardena for the experiance, hoping to try more in the future. (Update: Making this edit because I accidentally spelled the cafe name wrong in my previous review which I apologize for. The typo was made because when I was writing the review, I was also very busy so I wrote everything in a hurry and wasn't able to make changes. And yes, this update took so long to be made because when I write reviews, especially in this case, I often do different reviews all at once.)

Dol is located in a busy strip mall, so the free parking directly in front can be a little tight, but there is additional parking around the shopping center. When you walk in, the space is open and spacious with plenty of seating and tables. I've seen customers working on their laptops, as well as groups sitting together, laughing and enjoying their drinks. It has a really nice, relaxed atmosphere. Ordering is easy. The menu is displayed above the counter, and they also have handheld menus available. I had a few questions, and the cashier was very helpful in helping me narrow down what I wanted. You can customize the sweetness level of your drink and add extras like boba. Once you decide, you place and pay for your order using the ordering screen. The prices are reasonable, the drink sizes are generous, and the wait isn't long. They usually bring your order right to you. My favorite so far is the Coco Matcha. I enjoyed it so much that I've already been back! Dol specializes in Vietnamese coffee drinks, but they have plenty of other options as well. Definitely worth stopping by. It was his first time going to Beard Papa because there is a Persona collab currently going on. Purchased a 4 pack of the collab cream puffs from an older male employee working there. There were communication issues because the worker couldn't understand the simple order. Eventually my SO got his order, paid and left. He brought them home to eat, took one bite of the cream puff (Joker themed strawberry cheesecake-filled cream puff) only to find the filling was just plain vanilla. Understandably upset because this wasn't what he paid for, he went back to get replacements because now we can't trust that the others have the correct filling either. Unfortunately, there didn't seem to be any other employees/management present so my SO had to confront this same male employee. No apologies or anything for the mistake. Instead he kept repeatedly doubling down about how he wasn't told that my SO wanted something different. The onus should NOT be on the customer to just KNOW that the fillings can be changed. Especially if it's their first time visiting. Nor does it make sense that the DEFAULT filling for the collab pastries should be anything other than advertised. My SO had to raise his voice and demand replacements, and this employee threw a tantrum by rolling his eyes and tossing the old ones with an attitude. You don't belong in customer service if you can't handle simple orders and taking accountability. He seriously needs to be retrained/disciplined/fired. SOMETHING. This man was awful and rude and this is absolutely unacceptable behavior.

It starts with one of the chefs enthusiastically showing me and my wife some of the A5 Wagyu that he'd be using from Japan and I'm like, "sir. I know wagyu." I took my wife to The Cut on our first Valentines together (not compensating) and they had good Wagyu. I was wrong, dear readers. Dead wrong. This place knows Wagyu. Whichever tier you get, make sure it either comes with, or add on the A5 Wagyu Filet. They'll tell you to cook it 45 seconds each side (so 6 times), but here's a trick. do 45 seconds on four sides (the top, bottom, and the long sides), and then a bit of salt if you need it and some lemon slice. ADD THE LEMON JUICE!! BUT NOT TOO MUCH. That will take you out. You're welcome peasants. Think of me when you try it. Or don't. I might be pooping and I don't like the idea of people thinking of me while I poo. The server was awesome too. I didn't catch her name because I was too busy being a fatass.
