Completely, completely HAPPY! Kelley say's it like it is, not afraid to tell you the truth to help you with hair problems right when you think finally you understand! Permed curls are perfect, she was informative and used modern techniques. I got the multi-textured perm, various rods for some tight, some loose curls. Even my Son left with his Dad to get a haircut at Great Clips, they came back and my Son's side burn was shorter than the other and Ms. Kelley fixed it! 5 stars plus! I came to Kelly with uneven highlights (top was light but bottom was very dark) and dry very thick hair without any style. When I walked out I had shiny luminous hair with glowing highlights. The cut is perfect for my face and super easy to style. I feel like I walked out of a high dollar salon in Beverly Hills. Kelley spent time with me to figure out exactly what I wanted and made great suggestions. She's great in that she made sure that we were communicating and understood each other - something that is sometimes difficult when discussing hair. I wasn't expecting to walk into a small studio (like a small work room) when I decided to make an appointment with Kelley. Definitely different. I typically prefer larger salons... but in the end it is all about the hair. During my appointment I requested highlights, cut and style. I left with beautiful highlights and was very happy until I got home. I felt I had too many highlights around my face...it looked like I had orange hair. My boyfriend didn't like my new look. I decided to go back to Kelley; she quickly scheduled me in and was able to darken some highlights free of charge. The end result- my hair looks fabulous and even my picky BF enjoys my new look! Kelley graciously accommodated me last minute for a cut and gloss. On a Saturday, no less! She did a great job getting my feedback throughout the cut to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. My hair had gotten so dull and dry after a few too many home dye jobs. But, Kelly helped me out with a beautiful allover gloss with just a hint of corrective color. She called after about a week to make sure I was happy with the way everything turned out. I told her that I was hoping to have a few more highlights, she gladly scheduled another appt. to fix it free of charge. I was very happy with the final look! I called Kelley and she was very friendly on the phone. The appointment went well. Kelley listened to me carefully and understood what I wanted and also gave me some advice. I am very happy with my haircut and color. She is not only a good hairstylist and has a great talent for coloring hair, she has a compassion for her clients and is open and nonjudgemental to talk to. Since my last review, I have not returned to get my hair done here. However the reason is because I have moved across the country. I wanted to write an update because since I left my review, Kelley reached out to me . I hear horror stories of people who receive threatening hate messages from business owners who are angry for receiving a bad review. I understand how a bad review can affect a business in a very profound way. You would think that this is enough to is stress why it is important for a business to make amends and do damage control when a consumer is not satisfied. In today's lawsuit happy society, this gets lost and the consumer is left having to just deal with it. I appreciate when I receive great customer service. I believe tipping well. A business doesn't have to offer some sort of discount to make amends. They can simply express the desire to give them a better experience next time. It is because of this that I believe Kelley does deserve a chance to prove herself. I'm very grateful for Kelley 's sincerity and willingness to work with me. I needed a haircut and retouch on my highlights, but the girl that did my hair last was too busy and could not accommodate my short notice request for an appointment. I was on my way to the bank, when I noticed the new sign on one of the buildings in the same plaza advertising "Salon Suites". Since I needed a haircut, I decided to check out this place. I had no idea that behind the door there was many individual suites, like one man salons all over the place. I though the concept was great, but I must admit, I was longing for a receptionist; a friendly face that would tell me a bit about the stylists and what was their price point. Luckily for me, Ms. Kelley excused herself from her client and came out of her suite to greet me. She was friendly, well put together, with a nice haircut herself and a cozy suite. The best thing of all, she was able to see me the following day. At the end, I was happy with my haircut and highlights. The price point was reasonable for the time and effort provided. Also, Ms. Kelley asked me to send her pictures of hair stiles and highlights in advance so she can better prepare for our appointment. That told me that she was taking her job serious and that she cared a lot about the outcome. read more
