I have been going to designer nails for three years. I do think they do a good job but the atmosphere is chaotic and dirty. I make appointments every time I go for a gel and a pedicure which is 1.5 to 2 hrs. The last 3 times I have waited over 45 minutes because they don't pay attention to the appointment book. I've talked to him about it and today again I have a 9 o'clock appointment. I come all the time and at 9:01 he put someone else in the seat and asked me to wait until he's done with her gel nails. I am not paying for chaos and drama I just want to come in and get my nails done be relaxed and leave... I'm going to the competitor. read more

Months ago, I went in there with my two teenage daughters and they cut their cuticles until they were BLEEDING and then treated us all like crap when they were crying in pain. Now, my best friend - who NEVER CRIES - just left this establishment bawling because they treated her like such crap. All she wanted was her acrylics off and dip put on. I am with a group of women right now and they all agree "Anna" slaps your hand (she did it to my 50 year old friend AND my 15-year old daughter - years apart in service). This place is terrible. Awful. My friend who never gets her feelings hurt left crying because they are SO MEAN. read more

Kay did my pedicure and I love the color. She was very gentle and kind. Lina did my shellac manicure and helped pick out a great spring pink, she was also very kind and professional. When I asked for a flower design they accommodated me and Kim came and did two amazing flowers for me! Thank you to all the ladies at Designer nails! read more

Disappointed with manicure. I tried it because it had good ratings, but it did not live up to expectations. I got a deluxe manicure that while inexpensive refused to dry and smudged before even leaving the store (after 20+ minutes under dryer that had a bulb out). The paraffin wax and massage was lackluster. Additionally, the customer service was just okay. The shop was very crowded and felt unorganized and my manicurist left half way through and someone else just showed up to replace her. Didn't feel in accordance with covid regulations as well. I don't typically leave reviews but I wouldn't advise anyone else go there at this time but maybe just a rough day? read more

They do a decent job here. My issue is if you get sat with the gentleman who is basically the manager/ admin/ coordinator/ etc., he will be pulled every which way (answering phones, greeting people, answering everyone's questions) that your service will take twice as long. His priority is not doing your request, it's making sure he gets as many people in the door as he can- that's what it feels like. One time I needed two nails replaced and it took an hour! He could tell I was annoyed (sorry) and asked "are you in a rush or something?" I said "no, I just never expected two nails to take as long as a full set and you seem very distracted " I felt horrible and I gave a full tip of course but it was so frustrating!! He is great at running the place, they shouldn't make him try to run a super busy salon and also make him do nails because he is just too busy. I was sat with him two out of four times I went here and it was so annoying I'll never go back. sorry... they're always very busy so maybe I'm just in the minority. read more

Recently moved to Longmont and was in need of a new nail salon. Both times I've gone there I've gotten dip. Within days my nails were chipping and on a few nails the dip completely fell off as it it was a fake/cheap press on nail. Very disappointed. read more

Overall very pleased. The lady that did my nail was very gentle and detail oriented. Worked very meticulously on my nails. The place was super packed. We didn't have an appointment but they took us in and they tried their best to have us out within and hour and half. Not too bad. Overall pretty good spot. Would come back to it again. read more

Not great. I had a few good dip manicures here two years ago and decided to try it again when I moved back to Longmont. My first time back the pedicure was not good. The woman doing it told me she just started and didn't really know what she was doing. A different tech had to come redo/fix it after the first tech had spent 30 minutes trying to do a basic pedicure. The second time I went back I asked for a regular pedicure and no-chip manicure with chrome. The pedicure was fine (nothing special and I have gotten more exfoliation and massage elsewhere). The nail tech this time seemed to know what she was doing but when I asked for chrome nails she had never done them before. There was a $15 up charge to get chrome and a different tech had to walk her through the process. Now it is 3 days later and my no-chip mani is peeling. A bummer since we are on our way to vacation today and the whole point of paying so much for a no-chip mani was to hopefully have good-looking nails on the trip. I don't think I'll be going back, it was pretty pricey for just a mediocre mani/pedi. read more

This salon was quite busy when my daughter and I arrived for our appointments, but they are very organized and friendly. We were greeted and seated right away. I have lived in Longmont for years and have tried many of the various nail salons in town, but this was my first time at Designer Nails and I have to say I will definitely be coming back! Very quick/efficient manicure, super friendly staff, clean facility and all of the technicians seem to have a great depth of knowledge with various techniques. Definitely recommend. read more

Oh. My. Gosh. This place is always crazy busy when I go in and I can see why. Last time I went in. I got an amazing rebase by Sean and Katie had done the original set. While I was getting my nails done I saw so many other amazing full sets being done. Long almonds, stilettos, ombre, it all looked SO GOOD. This place has the biggest selection of polish colors I have ever seen. This is also one of the only places that will give my daughter a full on manicure without pushing back. Everywhere else I have gone they try to get away with just polish which doesn't work for little miss as she has CRAZY cuticles. Will for sure be coming back, and bringing my kiddo, her manicure is holding up SO WELL!!! Thanks Kyle, Katie and Sean! read more

I have been nail tech shopping, and finally found mine! Tina did an excellent job. She was very kind and professional. She took her time with shaping, details, matched nails, checked and rechecked, went all the way up the the cuticles, and even took care of my cuticles. Very satisfied! read more

I have been coming here for years now and will never go to another place. Mary is my girl but all the nail techs are amazing! Kyle the owner is super funny and will go out of his way to stay later or come in early if a client has a special need. They are always amazing with my daughter and spoil her with treats. I feel like family when I am there. Having a customer facing job where my hands are seen by all, it matters how they look. The place did a good job on my nails. However, the man in charge wasn't very polite (seemed super annoyed to be there and had snarky comments to many of the guest). He didn't do my nails but I was sat at the table next to him. It was pretty crowded on the tables and the place itself was kind of dirty and cluttered. read more

Went here on a day off with my 4 year old daughter and best friend! It was a great experience! My daughter loved it! It's time we good again but now I owe my 8 year old daughter a pedicure! Do NOT get acrylics here. I did and they stayed on for over three weeks (which sounds like a good thing) but once they started to come off i realized my natural nails were infected underneath because the acrylics were SO stuck that when they popped off they unattached my natural nail from the nail bed. They were lifting and pussing. Disgusting read more

Jenny did amazing with my pedicure! The last time i came it definitely was rushed (by someone else) but this time she really took her time, was gentle on my toes which have a couple issues, the massage was relaxing and the gel looks great! very happy and will be requesting her from now on! read more

I've been to a few nail salons around town, and this is my favorite so far. It's nice inside, but slightly crowded. I wouldn't bring kids here that aren't getting their nails done. I've seen men and women receive pampering here. Amy is my absolute favorite. She makes the acrylic nails thin at the cuticle area, so when they grow out, there isn't a huge bump. She always gets them straight and they look perfect. Everyone I've met here is very nice and I can usually always get in the same day, although they're always busy! Fair prices and a huge color selection. read more

I desperately needed my nails done and dragged a friend of mine along with me. This was the first place I called and even though they were closing, they agreed to let us come in for manicures. It was so busy when we got there! I checked out all the nails and nail art of the other customers enviously while we waited. The owner/manager was hilarious and kept joking with all the customers. My friend and I were finally sat with the 2 male nail techs (I unfortunately didn't catch their names). Both of them did a phenomenal job and I am obsessed with my nails and clean cuticles. Thank you guys! read more

I have to say I've gone here for a few years now for my nails and am finally writing my review. Its an average nail salon, but it's the best in the town of longmont. They always get me in quick, fast, and still a fairly good job. They have a decently clean facility. The only thing I wish for is to replace their Sanders after each use (the electronic ones for acrylic) other than that, the place is always clean!! I highly recommended Yen to do your nails. She just did mine and they're the perfect thickness and she did everything I could've asked for and no cuts or cuticle samNot only that, designer has an insane amount of polish to choose from. Every time I spend 10 minutes looking through their collections. They always get me in speedy fast and the owner is the sweetest guy ever. Love this place!!! Designer Nails still killing the game!!! Thank you Yen!! read more

I have been going to designer nails for 23 years. Tina is my technician and the last time I went in they used old product on me and I asked her to fix it. Apparently since I complained and she had to fix it she no longer wants Me as a client. You know everybody has bad days and maybe she did that day but to refuse service to somebody who's helped keep you in business for 23 years Won't accept a batched nail job at the prices we pay. I called to make an appointment and Kyle said he would call me back who is the owner and never did and then blocked my number. Never heard a word from them until I made an appointment and then they block me how very unprofessional. There are a million nail salons in Longmont I suggest going to any of them besides designer. The egos there of criticism apparently is beyond the customers that they want. I have a lot of friends I have recommended to Tina through the years I suggest you all find a new nail Tech and a new nail salon. I know the friends that I have recommended wouldn't like to be treated that way. It must be nice to have so much confidence in yourself that you think you're above satisfying customers. Enjoy your walkins I see your clientele fading. By the way I had to at least make a one star or they wouldn't post but I give it A0A treat you like a herd of cattle. read more

Very busy and poorly done manicure. Temperate pedicure water and no adjustments. But good color options if not rushed by staff!

Literally, the fastest and best manicure I've ever gotten in my life. Very cheap and Shawn takes a lot of time and extra effort to make sure they look perfect. They also got me in with a walk in basically immediately I really recommend! read more

favorite place. They do beautiful work and will ALWAYS fix a damaged nail for free. My husband and I met the owner Kyle when we were there to get my broken mail fixed. He is such an amazing hard worker who truly cares about his business. If you can't handle him multitasking (he's amazing at it) try running your own business and check back to tell him how easy it is. He was so open with us and even got to teach us some of his culture which was honestly so cool to hear. As people constantly walked in the door, he had already memorized everything they were going to have done and got them situated with a technician immediately. It's okay if you're shy or not used to a business this fast paced but don't talk bad about a man because he is doing EVERYTHING to keep his business running smooth. He truly cares about quality and I was actually even happier with the work he did because even though it took time, I could see he really really cared about detail! God bless you sir, thank you for all your hard work and treating us so kindly. We had a great time learning from you and hearing how much you love your business. read more

Wow, this nail salon is not only better than I expected, apparently it's one of the best ever. I called ahead around 4pm to come in at 6pm, they answered promptly, took my name and number and asked me to come at 6:15. They close at 7 and I thought no way can they be that busy! But I walked in to a busy, brightly lit, fully staffed salon with large-screen tvs and catchy pop music playing! This is clearly the place to go. I was helped immediately and was impressed by their super nice massage chairs, quality equipment, and covid practices (temp checks, masks, wash your hands upon entry, nail techs wear gloves, disposable plastic bags in the pedicure tubs). My nail tech was efficient, gentle, professional, and fast. Great massages from my nail tech she is clearly very experienced, and again, great massage chairs, large-screen tvs, good music and sanitary practices made for a really pleasant experience. Best of all she never abandoned me, simply out my flip flops on and painted my toes in there and I was in an out in 30 minutes for 25$. They are super professional and efficient. Way better than a recent experience I had getting a pedicure in Boulder!! read more
