Valet is apparently free, but I found street parking in front of OSPI. I initially found SAGE on Yelp, then visited their website to learn more before booking. I really appreciated how transparent they are. Each stylist has a profile with a bio and a picture. The services and individual pricings are listed upfront in the booking portal, which made it easy to choose someone who fit what I was looking for. Price transparency is important to me, and at the very end I was charged exactly what I booked. My stylist was Mikayla, and she was incredibly meticulous/detail-oriented. She spent about 4.5 hours perfecting my Full Highlights, and I never felt like she was rushing through any part of the process. During the consultation, I felt heard. She listened to what I wanted without any judgment or pressure to steer me toward a different outcome. Instead, the conversation felt collaborative, with explanations that helped me make informed decisions. I know for some, having to chat for all that time may be daunting. Mikayla struck the perfect balance between friendly conversation and giving me space. She clearly communicated each step of the process before doing it. My Full Highlights service included foiling, toning, a shadow root, a hair mask, and a full blowout. I'm so happy with how everything turned out!

Colby really took the time to listen to what I wanted and understood exactly what I was looking for. I wanted to keep my long hair while adding movement and shape, and he absolutely nailed it. My hair finally looks the way I had envisioned. Beyond his talent, he was incredibly kind and thoughtful throughout the appointment. Before I left, he even let me know that if there was anything I'd like adjusted after living with the haircut for a few days, he'd be happy to take care of it. That level of care and attention really stood out. I'm so glad I found both SAGE and Colby. I'll definitely be back and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a stylist who truly listens and delivers.

The entire service at David salon--including washing, cutting, drying, and paying at the reception--took only about 20 minutes. I was surprised by how quickly everything was done and, looking back, I wish I had paid more attention to how rushed the service seemed. I paid $85 including tip for the haircut. Based on my experience, I would recommend asking about the stylist's level of experience and exactly what is included in the service before booking. At one point, the hairstylist called over someone more experienced to show them her work and mentioned that I was "not her model." That comment made me uncomfortable, and I wish I had spoken up at the time. However, few days ago, I have my hair straightened with a flat iron. That was when it became obvious that my haircut was uneven. My advice is to choose your hairstylist carefully, especially if you want a precise bob or another haircut where the lines need to be very even. I would also suggest discussing your expectations and budget beforehand so you know what level of service you are receiving. It looks like decent haircut service at this place starts at around $120. Upd: you wrote "We would have appreciated the opportunity to address your concerns directly when you first noticed the issue." The unevenness only became visible a few days later when my hair was flat-ironed. I didn't notice it at the salon because it had been styled with a round brush. So there was no opportunity for me to raise it "when I first noticed" during the appointment - the issue wasn't apparent until later. That's why I left the review after the fact.

I have been getting my hair colored since I was in middle school, to completely date myself, that…read morewas over 25 years ago. 25 years, aka the 90s and I have had my fair share of great and absolutely horrific hair cut and color experiences. I was born platinum "toe head" blonde and it started to shift to strawberry then brunette. I began having my hair "highlighted" to get to more of a blonde result and even at a young age experienced stylists that would completely butcher my hair, frying it off from 12 inches down to an inch, getting cheesy spots from bad bleach jobs, trying solid and having bands of color, you name it I've seen it. I clearly had rotated my fair share of stylists from all walks of life. I finally landed on a stylist I found on Instagram for being a blonde specialist and I've been religiously seeing him up in Hollywood for my hair since 2019. I would literally take a flight from Vegas when I lived there to be able to see him, I'd drive sometimes 4/5 hours there and back just to see him because NEVER once did he butcher my hair. It always left gorgeous AND my hair is long which I've never been able to achieve without extensions and it has volume (or should I say, HAD). The thing about him is he KNOWS HIS LANE, he doesn't do cuts, he does platinum solid blonde (and extensions) and that is IT. No cuts. To TikTok I went. I had a friend who had it done in Vegas but needed to find someone local. I used her inspo photo when I found Chrissy and was connected to her assistant. I was quoted $495 for the cut. Paid $100 deposit. I get a text the night before asking me to come in at 8am instead of 9. No Mam, going to have to keep the 9 (won't get into why, a little silly I felt the need to explain why). Okay great I'm here for a few minutes, no one acknowledges me and the owner of the salon is greeted by a stylist as if she'd never met her before. This is who gets assigned to me. Chrissy is working on someone else's hair and in the zone. Assistant (never told me her name or introduced herself), walks me over I hear "she's just a cut" and I'm robed up and sat down. Chrissy makes her way over to me, asks me if I'm okay with the front bangs being this length and holds my hair to show me. I say I trust her. She tells the assistant wash twice then condition. Assistant felt like she'd never washed hair in her life it was the weirdest experience. I'm brought back to the chair and she walks around aimlessly for a minute like she's not sure what's next. Dry brushes my hair then more walking then grabs the round brush and starts drying. Another assistant comes over and she seemed really confident, starts blow drying the front and is super fast and felt professional. Then they start curing my hair. I'm thinking... is this intentional? I'm here for a cut, why would they use number one a curling iron on 90s style hair and secondly cut when there's curls!? That means my hair is going to be uneven because it's not straight ‍. But what do I know? The rollers were in for a max 3 min aka as soon as they finished the last one they pulled them out of my hair. No heat, no real time to actually work. Chrissy comes over and she starts cutting. I'm having an anxiety attack because the "blowout" was very much NOT 90s and very bad appointment at the dry bar vibe. She cuts away, and I'm watching 8 inches of hair fall to my lap. Cut dry, not held straight despite the spray curls and cut roughly along the edges for thinning. Nearly a decade of hair, gone without what felt like real care or strategy. I get a solid 5 minutes max with her. She asks if I want more layers, I communicate it's hard to tell what was done when there's spiral curls the layers are hidden in the spirals, it's impossible to answer that. Had it been like the photo I could tell. She says show me the inspo photo I pull up one she says it's ai I pull up another of my friend says it's ai again I say no that's actually my friend she got this haircut and I see her all the time this is how it looks. I'm then told it's because I don't have thick hair (mind you the woman helping me with my hair at one point commented about how much hair I have and how she couldn't imagine me with extensions). She was super nice, and a major reason I left a 22% tip even though I'm usually more of a tipper that equals closer to 30%... anyways - they bring over another girl and I just state I'm not wanting spirals the style is to have just the ends curled not spiral curls... so she helps me redo my hair and low and behold I'm a happy camper. Anyone "from" the 90s knows it's giant round brushes and curlers... oh and you can not forget the moose!! I wash my hair a few days later and my worst nightmare was a reality. I then obsess and find countless videos on achieving layers, 90s layers etc later... every... single...video... the hair was CUT when wet and strategically sectioned off. Not one person cut it dry and after curling.

Dania was responsive & was able to provide a great quote. I was able to book with her & so glad I did because she did an EXCELLENT job! The photo I'm posting speaks for itself. The braid hasn't moved and it's been a couple days now. Keep in mind she did all this in like 20 mins? I was basically in and out with a hairstyle that lasted beautifully for the wedding. She was a great, personable stylist who I would recommend and see again for another cute braid!!

I've been through many iterations of my hair with Seyoung - long (like to my bum), lob, typical mom chop after first baby, medium length, v cut, layers, every type of bangs, perm, etc. And she passes the "true" test every time - after I wash my hair on my own the next day my hair still looks like it did after I left the salon. My husband just gets the same haircut every time he sees Seyoung but he always looks very handsome and dapper after so definitely no complaints! We also went through a slew of hair products to find out which one works best with his texture and Seyoung definitely helped point us in the right direction. Honestly, just go. Coupled with finding the most prefect dress, I am a firm believer that hair and makeup is right up there in a wedding day investment. I couldn't be anymore pleased and blessed that I made that investment with Design Visage team and Lauren specifically . The whole process was seamless...initial booking, payment, trial and most importantly the flow of the wedding day. Being in the industry ( managing Lin & Jirsa photography) I know that running on time on the wedding day is crucial. The majority of my experiences in weddings I've been part of, is that the hair and make up run over, taking away from photography ( one of the biggest wedding expense! ) I had 9 bridesmaids, 2 moms, 3 grandmas, 3 aunts and 2 flowergirls + ME to get done ! Woo weeee! But Summer, the manager, did a great job of getting the right amount of stylists and scheduling that everyone was on time and lookin' gorgeous!!! Additionally to running on time, I felt the most beautiful I have ever felt in my entire life! I did a second look for the reception and Lauren was on time, got me pretty in a timely manner for us to head down to our cocktail hour and take more pics. I couldn't be any more happy w the service from the second I booked to the end of my wedding day! On quite possibly a stressful day, the last thing you want to do is stress about being on time... Words can't describe how long it took me to find a great make up artist/service at a good price. I found Design Visage on yelp and noticed there were no bad reviews so i decided to book them for my big day. Rachel was my artist and she was absolutely amazing!!!! I have never felt so beautiful. I noticed many artists out there cake on a lot of make up and that was something i did not want on my wedding day. I wanted to look elegant and look like myself. Rachel made me look like myself and made me look beautiful. She also did my mothers make up and my sisters (maid of honor). They both loved their make up and looked gorgeous. Rachel listens well and is extremely professional . Meghan who i also worked with from the beginning till the end was great- she quickly responded to my emails and calls. Yes, I have to agree on all these people reviewed this place. I just tried their facial last week by one of friend's referral. I should have come here to check the review first! They are trying to sell me things from the moment I stepped into the door. The facial made my face red, but the boss there said it is normal. (I think their boss's name is Caren Lazarus, don't trust her nice smile at all!) After I came back home, I used Aloe Vera for a week without using anything else and finally saved my skin! Also I saw they are doing the makeup and hair style for the brides-to-be. Yuck... (I couldn't say this in front of the excited ladies), yes, it is like those 60s Halloween party. I am not joking. Our photographer recommended Design Visage to us, after looking through her portfolio and noting to us that the best hair and makeup came from Design Visage, regardless of who the stylist was. She felt that everyone who worked for Design Visage did a fantastic job! She was so right! Amy did the hair and makeup for the bride and me, the MOB, and she was amazing! She understood our needs, and how to work with our different textures and hair lengths, and just what to do to help us look our absolute best. I recently went to Design Visage for hair and make-up for my wedding. The were on the preferred vendor list at the Ritz Carlton and my wedding coordinator Lisa also suggested I call. I am so glad I did. They were the most professional company I have ever seen. And my stylist was Dana was fantastic. Dana and Adrienne were on time on the wedding and all of us looked fantastic, including my mom and grandmother. I also went to the salon several times prior to the wedding for facials, body wraps, and a airbrush tan. Everyone who works there is the best. I will continue to go for waxing and facials, it has made a great change with my skin. Design Visage did my hair and make-up for my wedding in May. All I can say is they are amazing. From the moment I called to the wedding day they were so professional and calming, good for a bride to be. Georgia did my hair and make-up and Kim and Heather were the additional artists for m bridesmaids and mom. We are looked beautiful for the entire day and night. Even my mom who is so picky, loved her look. The photographs are what you have left after the wedding,so invest well in your hair and make-up company. My bridal party of 11 girls, both my mom and mother-in-law and myself all needed to get done (we even added a little girl the day of and they graciously accommodated), and Emily and her team were on top of it to the point we all got done ahead of schedule! We had MOG, MOB and then my make up session so it wasn't too crazy. My ceremony started at 4:30pm so I had lots of time for photos before getting started. I'm always curious about the price so for bridal hair and makeup it was $1200 and for the moms it's $600/each. Vivian tweaked my make up to add more contour and it turned out really well. I also told her I sweat a lot so she made sure my makeup wasn't going to melt off for the night. I don't usually do my makeup and the way she did mine felt really comfortable throughout the night it didn't feel heavy or tight and it didn't melt off during the party. My skin also loved the products she used and I have very sensitive acne prone skin! I highly recommend her as your artist. I reached out immediately in mid-August to book her, and she was luckily available! I was ecstatic. I followed up with a question about booking and did not hear back for over a week. That's fine, I get that she's busy. When I finally heard back, I received a long list of items to fill out for a contract. After I sent my contract info, I received an email from her assistant that my info was received and that a contract would be coming soon. I was so excited! It had already been a month since I initially reached out, so I was ready to lock this down. After waiting for TWO MORE WEEKS, I am told that someone else booked my date and thus they could not proceed with my contract. WHAT?! You couldn't have told me that TWO weeks ago after claiming to have received my info?? By this point, it was already October. I was so upset - what a waste of my time! It had already been practically two months since I first contacted her. I decided to reach out again & ask if she had any recommendations for a similar style artist to her, and hoped she would give me suggestions out of good faith after completely wasting my time. It's been almost 3 weeks and no response. In those 3 weeks, I spoke to 5 different artists who responded IMMEDIATELY, and have moved forward with booking & paying, providing my vision, booking bridesmaids, and having all of my questions answered in hours by the artist I booked - a true sign of professionalism. If this is a sneak peek into how working with her will be like on the big day, then maybe it was a blessing in disguise. I'm sure she's a wonderful person but this was so rude & left a horrible taste in my mouth. Seems to be a common issue with her one star reviews too.
