I had a last minute idea of a shirt to give someone for their birthday with a logo I had designed for them. I searched the internet far and wide and this was the only place that I could find that allowed me to print one shirt only and that delivered in time for (on) the birthday. All other companies and websites claimed to have no minimum but when placing the order had a minimum of 6, and their delivery dates were several days later. I needed my company logo embroidered on my uniforms (which are specially-made and have to be ordered directly from the manufacturer), and was curtly told they "are moving out of customer-supplied items". I then asked if they could please refer me to someone who would be able to help me and the lady smugly told me to "try a kiosk at a mall". I then said I was looking for a professional company who I could rely upon not only currently for my uniforms, but also for future work such as hats and polo shirts that I would order directly from the company doing the embroidery. She then went to the back for a couple of minutes, I assume to speak with her boss, and when she came back, she told me to "go use Google". Their customer service is top notch! While I initially had an issue with the digitally printed color not matching what I saw in the proof, the print quality was still quite good for the price. Even their digital print was bright and saturated. I was helped by Samantha who was unbelievably patient and went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make sure I'd be satisfied with the end result. I've never come across a shirt printing company with such great customer service. Still in a bit of shock actually. Tip: their design tool shows what color shirts they have in stock, but always check with a rep (via live chat) because there may be new colors available that just aren't up yet, and they'll be able to manually enter that info into the system. I've printed two shirts now with DAS and couldn't be happier with the results. The design/proof team took my flawed/mediocre first design and made it into something special. I printed on the DAS value T shit, which was a decent t shirt considering how low the price was for each shirt I printed. My next design was something special and I made 50 prints. If you're reading this buy the American Apparel Fine T-shirt. It smashes the quality of the DAS t and I will not be printing on any other shirt moving forward. Customer service has been fantastic. Both Ernie and Jess were lifesavers for me. I had some issues with the color I choose for my proof (don't confirm your proof until you see the colors on your computer), so I called in and they were able to change the print color selected and still manage to get all the shirts printed that day. Highly recommended and if you have questions they are great about emailing you back. Go with American Apparel Fine T if you plan on owning the shirt for an extended period of time. read more

I've talked to them several times over the phone to make sure the final product looked exactly as I had in mind by confirming the dimensions, but when I received the product. These folks are fantastic! Their customer service is excellent and I found their products to be better than expected. I uploaded some artwork that I thought would be fine. They contacted me to say that they had concerns about the resolution and that they didn't think the product would be up to their standards. Well, I didn't have a higher resolution version. So, their art department recreated my logo. They charged me NOTHING to do that. Not only did the products look great but they even sent me the upgraded artwork! They have a good shirt selection and the interface for building the shirts is pretty good. However there is a critical problem with color representation. Several orders have shown up with significantly different color shades than the preview. Even worse the digital printing and screen printing show up differently. We ordered prototypes with digital printing because it was much cheaper for one shirt. Later when the large expensive order was placed with screen printing, the colors were noticeably different. We spent almost a thousand dollars in shirts with colors different than expected. However, I can confidently recommend designashirt for shirts if color calibration isn't important. Just stick with black or white printing if you can. read more

I don't even want to give this site one star. I ordered shirts for a group of our friends who were participating in a cystic fibrosis fundraising walk. Our best friends just found out their baby was diagnosed so we wanted to do something to show our support for their family. Emily, at Design a shirt was very nice and helpful and guaranteed that we'd have our shirts by the Friday before the walk. I called on Friday when our shirts still had not arrived and was told that they had forgotten to ship the shirts. The walk is tomorrow. Emily called around to try to ship the shirts overnight but said she was unable to find anyone to get us the shirts. She found a printing station near our house to print the shirts but they were unable to print the picture on the shirts which was the most important part of the shirt. So our order which originally cost us $250 was now discounted to $200- only $50 off even though we were getting a totally different shirt, with much less printing, and a huge disappointment for not having the picture (an ultrasound picture of our friends' baby) on the shirt. They said they would make up for it by donating to our group- they donated $50. So basically they still got the full payment for the shirts because they can use the $50 as a tax donation and we're still left with the crappy shirts. No matter how nice Emily was, I would never use this company again. And neither should you. read more
