That might also mean even items marked with a later expiration date may not be as fresh as advertised. As with most authentic Asian markets (maybe ones not named H-Mart), it isn't the cleanest, nor does it smell that good, but you're not there to sleep or live, haha. The setting doesn't necessarily reflect on the quality of food, especially if it's packaged or sealed. I'd personally pass and try to find another Asian market, but if this location is the easiest or closest for you, especially given the paucity of Asian markets in Texas, it's not a terrible choice.
