Jashn - Techa Paneer

The food was so delicious that we completely forgot to take pictures of the dishes we tried! We ordered the Lucknowi Katori Chaat, Aloo Kulcha served with chole, Lucknowi Butter Chicken, Roomali Roti, Tandoori Naan, Mango Shikanji, and Shahi Lassi. Everything was absolutely flavorful and satisfying. The Shahi Mango Lassi was just okay for us, but the rest of the items were outstanding. What truly impressed me was that after we finished our meal, they served us a finger bowl. That's something very common in India but not so common here, and I absolutely loved that thoughtful touch. The name truly reflects their celebration-worthy food and service. Highly recommend for a cozy and delicious dining experience!

We made reservations for 6pm on a Saturday night but the restaurant was actually pretty empty when we got there. It definitely filled up by 6:30pm though and there were a few parties waiting by the door by the time we left so I'd recommend making reservations if you can. The ambiance was nice, the food was good and the service was very attentive. We tried the palak patta chaat, garlic naan, Butter Chicken, Fish Molly and a side of rice. Everything was really good! We appreciated the friendly service too but halfway through our meal we started to feel rushed to leave even though we had only been there for maybe an hour at that point? I understand there were people waiting but we were still actively eating our dinner. That was the only complaint for the night. Otherwise, we enjoyed our meal and would recommend if you're looking for a good Indian restaurant.

Bombay Bistro - Chowpatty Dahi Puri, Samosa Chaat

Wanted to try the famous street food and asked for samosa chaat and dahi puri. I think one of the servers there wasn't fully versed with the menu because he kept insisting that they didn't offer samosa chaat, even though I had previously called the restaurant before arriving to confirm that they offered it on the menu. Luckily though, we were able to clear it up with another member of their staff and were able to order the chaat. Food was good! Samosa chaat is worth the price and they give you 2 samosas and your money's worth, though I would have preferred a little more channa dal gravy, but I'd still get it again. I think some people like thick naan, but I personally the one they serve here, where it's thinner and tears easily, instead of thick and stretchy. Makes it easier to scoop curry onto. The Dahi Puri didn't wow me as much, maybe because it felt like something I could easily put together at home and didn't come with that many puris. Maybe it's for people who aren't familiar with the dish, who don't know what it is. But I didn't think it was worth almost $11, basically the same price as the chaat. Overall though, I think I'd come back here and try more of the dinner options, they looked promising. And the restaurant has a vast number of popular street food options too which I'd like to check out in the future.

Came here on a weekday evening, i think its new in a nice area so less crowd. Nobody was there when i went on Wednesday evening. I was offered to check the buffet which i did but i wanted only 1 dish. I ordered nihari and naan. The menu was on QR code so fancy of them. Nihari was meh, not great but it didnt have that taste of nihari or look. Naans were good, soft and fluffy , this place cut it into 4 pieces. Then for dessert i got gulab jamun and Chai. Gulab jamun presentation was fancy and had 3 pieces. And chai was a normal cup coulda been cooked a bit longer with milk . Gulab jamun was good, no complaints Idk if its a seattle thing, but everything is REALLY PRICEY up here. Chai one cup for 5.99 is just mindblowing. Down where i am from its 2.50 with free refills or only 1-2. Also nihari bieng like over $20 is just shocking. Maybe its how it is up here im not sure, but yes i hope this place improves on the nihari,

The lamb shank was rich, tender, and packed with flavor (a little spicy, but that's on me--I'm a wimp ). The garlic naan was perfectly soft and garlicky, and the tandoori seekh kabab had some great char. The real surprise standout was the taza hara bhara salad--so fresh, vibrant, and flavorful, it balanced the meal beautifully. You can tell a lot of care goes into the food here. Can't wait to come back and try more dishes.

We grabbed the Rajma Chawal and Chole Bhature for mains, they were decent enough to hit the spot. The snacks were where it got a little tricky. The Ram Ladoo and Kachori Chat tasted good, but they were barely lukewarm. Kind of a bummer since you really want those hot! On the flip side, the Lamb appetizer was incredible super soft and juicy. Definitely the star of the show. We finished with desserts and they totally saved the day. The Kulfi Falooda was 10/10, and the Shashi tukda was the perfect sweet finish.

The ambience was pleasant and lively, which set a nice tone for the meal. We started with the Kachori Chaat, which unfortunately was just average - not bad, but nothing memorable either. Next came the Butti Ka Murg, and this completely changed the experience. The chicken was juicy, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. Easily the standout dish of the night - absolutely delicious. The Amritsari Kulcha was also excellent, with great stuffing and good taste. However, the chole served alongside it was just okay and didn't quite match the quality of the bread. Drinks were decent but nothing special. Overall, the food had some real highs and some middling items. We felt the pricing was on the higher side for the value and consistency offered. Would probably come back for specific dishes (especially the Butti Ka Murg), but not necessarily for a full meal.
