It has been less than year since we signed up for the Gold maintenance plan offered by Desert West, and so far they had only visited us for routine preventative maintenance on our house's twin HVAC systems. However, we woke up during the night to discover that our A/C system was not working, our thermostats were dead (no power), and the house was getting uncomfortably warm. I called Desert West this morning and they arranged a same-day service visit by a technician named Nikki. She was terrific! She got right to work, climbing into our attic to assess the situation, where she found that the two forced-air units up there were not receiving any power. Next she checked our electrical panel, where she noticed that one circuit breaker was ever so slightly out of position, something I had missed when I looked at the breakers earlier. Once she had reset that breaker, power was restored to our thermostats and the A/C units began blowing nice cold air again. Nikki told us that Desert West has been getting a considerable number of service calls this summer for the very same problem. We did not need any costly repairs, replacements, or add-on equipment (a marked difference from the big well-known HVAC service company that we had been using prior to switching to Desert West), plus the cost of this diagnostic visit was included in our maintenance service plan. Nikki was pleasant, professional, and thorough, and we are very pleased with the service we received from her and Desert West. read more

Sunday, our upstairs air conditioner went out. Both of our units were 21 years old. I called DWS, and they were able to come out within a few hours. I had to schedule them a little later because of prearranged plans, but they worked with my schedule. The technician came out, thoroughly inspected everything, and then brought me outside to show me exactly why the unit kept blowing fuses. She explained that the compressor was fried. I asked if she could also take a look at our downstairs unit since it was the same age. She told me it still had a little life left, but the compressor was also showing signs of wear. At that point, we decided it made sense to replace both units. What I appreciated most was that there was absolutely no pressure or upselling. She explained what we had, showed us comparable replacement units along with an upgraded option, and let us decide. We chose the comparable units, which came with a 10-year parts and labor warranty, and scheduled the installation. The installation crew came out today and replaced both the upstairs and downstairs systems. They started around 8:30 a.m. and finished around 5:00 p.m. The entire crew was professional, friendly, and respectful. Their work was clean and well done. The new units look great, the attic was left looking clean, the air is nice and cold! While they were here, I also signed up for their maintenance membership. They contact me to replace my air filters throughout the year, and perform tune-ups in both the spring and fall. Overall, I'm really glad we chose DWS for our A/C replacement. From the first service call through the installation, everyone was professional, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. read more

My husband and I moved into an order home and needed to upgrade our air conditioner. My brother who has lived here for years told us about DWS. We called and the owner of this family owned business showed the very next day. No up selling just kind and honest people He actually remembered my brother by name. We did purchase the gold package and they always show up with no issues. We had to call them one evening because our air was blowing warm thinking we would get an appointment the next day. Nope....they sent a service person that evening. All it was, was the condenser was over worked and we needed the ice to thaw. No charge. Every single person we have had business with are so kind and professional from the first call to the service people. You will not be sorry. read more

My AC broke down a few days ago and I had to look for a reputable company to service my AC. I called early around 8 a.m., and they had Damian check my furnace an hour later. It was a quick diagnosis with pictures and other evidence to show what the problem was. He didn't try to upsell me to upgrade since we both know that the system is almost 20 years old and it was time to replace my AC unit. After asking him a lot of questions and he answered them to the best of his ability, I went through with the upgrade and got it scheduled for the next day. Good thing they also offer financing since it is a big investment. They replaced the whole system in 5-6 hours and it cooled my house quickly and much better than before. If you need someone to check and maintain your HVAC needs, Desert West is the way to go. Damian is so knowledgeable that he'll make the repairs/upgrade properly and easily. read more

Decided to begin an annual inspection/maintenance on a newer HVAC system on a new home just to increase the longevity of the system in the long run. DWS was recommended to me by several coworkers and friends. Ethan came out and was professional and completed the service. Took the time to explain what he did and sent a receipt with everything performed along with pictures. Highly recommended company. Thank you! read more

After coming back from a short vacation our AC unit wouldn't cool the house down, matter of fact it stopped working all together! After flipping the main circuit breaker the unit still wouldn't start so called Desert West. Rossi came out and checked all of the electrical and other system components and suspected the cause was the circuit breaker so that was replaced. A few days later, once again the house temp was in the mid-80's so I flipped the circuit breaker hoping that was the cause. Not so lucky so called DWS again and they sent Kyle and Rossi over. While talking to the lady in the office the unit started up! They thoroughly went over all 3 zones and checked everything in the system. Previously another AC company suggested we install an electronic contractor in our system. Kyle and Rossi suspected that it could possibly be the cause of the outages and poor performance of our unit. They replaced the electronic one with a conventional unit and our AC has been perfoming as it should all weekend. The service they provided on this call was exceptional! They spent 2-3 hours at our home checking all of the system and coming up with the solution. read more

Desert West installed my new furnace and AC condenser in May after I moved into a house whose inspector gave the oil-leaking condenser a pass. I opted for a full system replacement and went with Trane products. The company proved to be exemplary, both on the phone/business/communications end and on the technical side. I even spoke to the owner because I had questions the techs weren't sure about. Every technician who has come to install, check, or reset the system has been on time or early, patient, and has explained the situation to me in layperson's terms. I trust this company. They were also one of the few companies who honored the home warranty policy that most companies didn't want to touch. I have worked with Tony and Damian and other technicians during the installation and follow-up visits. This company does quality work, has quality products, and send well-trained employees. Of course my A/C goes out on the weekend. Desert West Services works the weekend!! I had a technician at my house less than 2 hours from calling ON A SUNDAY. A very respectful technician identified and replaced the capacitor at an amazing price. My A/C was working again in less than 3 hours from my phone call. I will never call another A/C company other than DWS again. read more

How do you thank a company for saving you $12,000? A different company today told me me that my HVAC had 3 main problems. The worst was the ductwork. I panicked and called DW. They sent Kevin who was wonderful. He took pictures. No ductwork needed and my unit required only 1 small part. Quality work at a fair price. I joined their membership to save even more. read more

Punctual , honest, and fair pricing. Recommended a minor repair on A/C and didn't push us to replace.

Got an early message from our tenant that the AC wasn't working. Sent her DWS contact info, she called at 7 am - I got a call at 7:20 with confirming info, tech was there around 10, upfront and honest repair done by 11 am! Anthony even flipped out the air filters for her. Great service. Great response time. Would recommend to anyone!! read more

Summer is just around the corner and horror strikes when you turn on your air conditioning but no cool air comes out. Unfortunately that was my recent reality. After a quick search on a Saturday evening, I saw Desert West Services were open until 9:00 p.m. I called at 7:30pm and the dispatcher was able to get someone out the same evening. She said my time frame would be 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. (no after hours fee), and the tech (Anthony) arrived right at 8:00 p.m. Knowledgeable and efficient, he was able to find the problem quickly. Thankfully it was just the capacitor that went out so it was a pretty routine fix. I was back to climate controlled happiness by 9:00 p.m. The tech explained what all the potential problems could be as he was looking at the unit and the estimated price for each repair. He didn't try to sell me anything extra, and it was all very straightforward. read more

My experience with these guys are as follows: I own another HVAC company and had these guys come out on a request from a customer to replace a unit that we had just replaced. The customer suspected that we did a poor install. These guys could have taken advantage of an older person who was a bit nervous about the large expense, but they were honest instead. They told her the install was clean and that few other contractors would offer her a full refund with no strings attached like we had. They recommended that she leave the installation in place instead of trying to make a quick buck. I would understand if I lost a quote to these guys as they are in my opinion, a honest group of people. Thank you Kyle and Pat for being different than the rest. read more

On Sunday July 7th it became obvious that our 15 year old air conditioner was on its last legs, unable to keep up with the 120 degree temperature. On Monday it was even more critical, as the fan motor was kicking off. On the advice of two friends I called DWS at 4 pm, by 6 pm Kyle, Service manager for DWS was inspecting my system and confirming it was failing and not worth saving. Before he left we had agreed to a very reasonable replacement price and were on the schedule for Wednesday morning. Kyle assured us that he would do whatever was necessary to keep us safe until then. I can't speak highly enough of Kyle and his team. They exceeded our expectations in every respect. My only regret is that we are limited to 5 stars. You can't go wrong Kyle and DWS. read more

It was a great experience to interact with Damien as he did the Spring A/C service call at our home. He arrived on time, was professional and pleasant, and took the time to explain what he had done. He also showed me the photos he took of our system as well as explained everything on the checklist. I appreciated the way he respected our home and took time to be nice to the dogs too. I am glad that we have switched to Desert West Services for our HVAC needs. read more

I happened to notice my AC was running luke warm and immediately knew there was an issue as its a unit from the 1980s. I looked around in my local lgbtq directory guide and saw them listed as small family owned and operated by a veteran. I'm always happy when I can support local businesses and pretty much use small companies exclusively for home repairs. Pat came out same day and noticed the motor was fried and thankfully I didn't need a new unit. He fixed it the same day without breaking the bank. Saved me a lot of money and hassle compared to shopping around with the bigger companies. I'm so happy I found them and even called them to change out my water heater a month later, but they ended up referring me to another great company, Sound Plumbing, as they don't service water heaters. I would happily use Pat and his team again for my HVAC needs. read more

Our A/C upstairs broke down in the middle of this summer heat and we were all sweating and feeling nauseated with temperatures going up to 80's even tho we set thermostat at 70. True enough, i found their company and they texted in less than a minute, got a call within 30 minutes, and they were at my house in another 30 minutes! That's really a fast response! And the tech who came really did an awesome job explaining every detail, fixed the problem, and their rate is very reasonable! Now i can have a good night's sleep! Thank you so much! Our AC went out overnight so I called DWS first thing in the morning. The woman who answered the phone, I did not get her name, was very helpful and very kind. SAVED MY AZZZZX DWS saved me last Saturday night at 7:00pm when we got home to find the A/C out DWS is Locally Owned by a Veteran He has a vested interest in our community, unlike the corporate shops. Pat I believe is the owner and he has lived in the Vegas Valley for 30+ years. As you would expect from a Veteran, he is honest and fair and his integrity is w/o question. He and his team only fix what needs to be fixed in s timely and professional manner. There isn't any up-selling you and feeding you a line of b.s. My A/C units are on there last leg, I will definitely be using DWS to replace them. read more

Called in the evening, advised that my Mother's thermostat needed to be replaced as she was with no AC. Carol was super nice and immediately notified her AC technician. Kyle came within an hour and was able to detect another problem, the part was ordered. Kyle was super nice and very professional. He explained the problem in detail and showed us the pic from the attic. He got the A/C to work and installed the thermostat within the hour. My Mother and I are very happy with Kyle's work. He also cared that my Mother would have AC. Thank you Kyle and Carol for your immediate respond in taking care of my Mother's AC. I will definitely refer your business to my family and friends. I was so grateful to DWS. They called me back promptly and sent someone out within a few hours even though they were busy. They changed their schedule so that they could get to me before I had to leave for work. It turned out my air conditioner just needed the filters changed. (face palm.) But Patrick was so nice and understanding about it. He gave me thorough instructions so that I would buy the right kind of filter (this time, because I definitely got the wrong kind last time) and then didn't charge me for the visit. Thank you so much guys! I will definitely be calling them again next time when something actually needs fixing. read more

I called them on Father's Day Sunday at 10 am. The phone was answered on the first ring by a real live person and someone was at my condo by 11:30 am. Highly recommended! I have had other AC companies come out before like Goettl and Yes Plumbing The people they sent out were useless scammers trying to get you to buy a maintenance program and trying to sell you way over priced replacement systems, they were salesmen , not technicians. Desert West was different, they sent a highly skilled hard working real tradesmen to repair our system. They gave me some reasonable quotes for the repair and options to replace my aging system (24years). I chose to repair for now, but when the time comes to replace this system, I will be using them to do the replacement. read more

Our AC went out Saturday night and called three HVAC companies Sunday morning. This was the first Company to return my call & schedule the service call with a few hours. Kyle came out and thoroughly assessed the AC system, made repairs, and stayed until the AC system was working 100%. The charge for the service call was very reasonable for a weekend appointment.
